So this never struck me before. I'm replaying ME1 and trying to do the fullest playthrough I can, listening to every bit of dialogue. As I'm talking to Dr. Chakwas and Jenkins they're spoilering the entire story that's ahead. Like how they've been trying to get a human accepted into the Council to no avail, there's never been a human Spectre and how Shepard would be a great candidate. Then Shepard asks what if a Spectre went rogue? To which Chakwas answers that she supposes the Council could revoke the status of a Spectre who got out of hand, C-SEC would get involved and how they would probably send another Spectre 'to take them down'. And of course how Jenkins is so enthusiastic he's going to get himself killed. I didn't realise how ham-fisted some of the writing was back then.

ME1 feels a bit campy at times for me. Still love it very much though. Also not sure if "campy" describes exactly how I feel. Blame my rusty English haven't used this language in a while.

Hadn't thought about that either or maybe I'd forgotten in the 10 years since the 1st PT. Instead I noticed the dialogue with Preston worked as a teaser trailer when he told about the skeleton crew and Anderson being in command. Unfortunately, my excitement about uncovering these schemes and intrigues got deflated immediately after in the conversation between Shepard, Anderson and Nihlus
