Ok so er... im trying to do the Landsmeet thing... I was expecting some kind of meeting before joining forces before riding off to destroy darkspawn... I didnt realize I had to do so much Basically: ive spoken to the arl of redcliffe, he told me to speak to non existent nobles apparently (theyre nowhere to be found in the building) then I went to rescue the queen and killed Howe (satisfying ) then er things happened and I was locked in jail then rescued and now im going to the Alienage... ... is that right??? Something about being overwhelmed by loootttsss of guards and dying just didnt seem right and I feel like ive gone wrong somewhere Any advice or erm saying 'General youve done this wrong' would be nice at this stage... since I have no idea what im doing really

Basically, you're doing everything right so far so no worries there lol. Finish the alienage quests, then you'll be able to talk to the nobles (they're located in the tavern) and convince them to side with you.

With Anora, MAKE SURE you talk to her before the official lands meet and convince her that you'll side with her, even if you won't. Because she will stab you in the back if you don't!

Lots of spoilers If you have done your side quests, then convincing the nobles is simple.
The two you can win over are both in the Gnawed Noble Tavern. One will back you if you ask him and you freed the man on the rack in Howe's dungeon. The other will back you if you spoke with her brother in Howe's dungeon and he gave you his ring. Give her the ring and bob's your uncle.
There is a third noble who will back you, but you can not talk to him before the Landsmeet. He backs you if you finished the Trial of Crows quest line successfully.

I made the mistake the second time of saying I would spare her father, but that I was determined that Alistair should be king. She seemed agreeable enough. Then she backstabbed me! I was shocked! I made sure to execute her father with far less remorse than the first time/play through when she'd supported me. You'd think the Dad thing would be more important to her, but it seems like her remaining Queen is more important!

You're generally on the right track. The question is, what end are you trying to achieve? Alistair on throne with Anora as Queen? Alistair on throne alone on throne? Etc.

If you harden Alistair, he says something that sounds about right about both Anora and Loghain: they think they're the only ones who know what's best for Ferelden, and everybody else should just get out of their way.

I remember my first playthrough when she backstabber me even though I wanted to keep her on the throne and just her but of course I put myself on the throne out of spite . My first three playthroughs I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong...

You're looking for the first grimoire, right? It should be in Irving's office in a chest. Can't remember if it was locked or not.

I managed to summon a spirit thing out of pure luck... does that have anything to do with it??? Like the 3 summoning things??? (Done 1 so far) You're looking for Flemeth's Grimoire, a book of spells that Morrigan wants. It's part of M's personal quest; nothing to do with Landsmeet, but still something you want to do as a side quest. There are a couple of other side quests you can do at the Circle Tower that aren't necessary for winning the mages, but they can get you some loot. There's the summoning circle quests in the library. There's a codex entry you have to read to do them right. Also, "WatchGuard of the Reaching." You have to pick up a bunch of notes to learn how to do it. As to the Landsmeet, after the alienage quests and trying to win over the nobles at the Gnawed Noble Tavern, keep talking to Arl Eamon. Eventually, he'll ask if you want to call the Landsmeet. Keep checking the quest tracker. It shows which ones are complete and which ones are active. For the main quests, which contain sub quests, it will indicate which sub quests are complete and which ones still have to be done. Have fun!

As others said, it's in a chest on the left as you enter Irving's office. If I remember correctly, it's not locked, so you can get it without much fuss. Good luck.

Ok so *needing help again* Just played then (super late I know but eh)... basically I found the book and gave it Morrigan and killed Flemeth then did the Landsmeet and Morrigan and Alistair had sex and well... ive run into a little problem... See... I had about 30 health poultices before... then I fought Flemeth and it went down to 20 and I thought still thats quite a lot... After getting to (what I presume) is the final part of the game with the archdemon (done most of denerim and the archdemon was last seen spinning out of control)... I only have 8 health poultices and most are lesser (7/8 I think)... So... is there a way to resupply them??? Or is the archdemon coincidentally the easiest fight in the game??? I have Morrigan and Wynne with me both for healing but they constantly run out of magic and I dont have so many lyrium potions either... Theyre too scarce and too expensive I think I kept trying to resupply them but Flemeth then Denerim kinda took a massive chunk out of them... What should I do???

Are the Dalish elves still talking to you? Their merchant sells an unlimited supply or elfroot. The barkeep at the Gnawed Noble tavern sells unlimited suppliea of flasks, distillation and concentration. Whoever, in your party, probably Wynne, has the highest Herbalism can whip up as many health poultices as you want.

Where are you exactly? Always good to stalk up with at least 100 elf root and plenty of distillation, corrupter, and concentration agents so you can make potions and grenades.
If you are in the middle of the fight in Denerim, be sure to protect Wynne and also loot all bodies since you might find potions on them. And remember, you can call upon all of those allies you've gathered to support you!
Once you get to the building in which the Archdemon is hold up, there will be one last opportunity to buy things before you meet the AD. <<hint, hint>> Actually, no hint necessary because the opportunity can't be missed. Again, once in battle with the Archdemon, you can call on the allies to help your team. (Also, the ballistas are your friends!) Have fun!

Last save... just changed area.. I saw Riordan dying and thats literally where I am now just about 1 second after that cutscene finished... I literally have put no points in herbalism because I figured that it was a waste when I could buy potions... now I see my mistake Ill buy things when I get there then... hopefully theyll have lots of them Im guessing the archdemon is like the hardest enemy in the game???

Oh ok thats gonna be fine then I think I also killed Flemeth if thats a comparison??? Also yes the Dalish are still talking to me... I cured the werewolves The Dalish camp is a good place to go during the game to load up on elfroot. All other shops in the game carry only a limited amount; the Dalish merchant sells an unlimited amount. However, during the Final Onslaught, you lose access to all the shops. I believe after you go to clear out the Darkspawn from Redcliffe and spend the night in the castle (and decide whether or not to do the Dark Ritual), Bodahn and Sandal may be in the castle. Then in Denerim, it's like I said....no shops open until just before the boss battle with the Archdemon. Another little hint regarding the Archdemon: Dragon Flemeth and Andraste Flemeth were fire dragons -- they did fire damage. The AD does spirit damage. Take note of any gear or potions you have that offer spirit resistance. In that last merchant opportunity, you will be able to buy spirit potions and you should come across a useful piece of gear along the way. Don't worry, you'll do fine! (And you'll immediately start plotting your next playthrough with a different origin!)

I agree with the others, you'll be fine. I was scared that I wouldn't have enough supplies to face the Archdemon at first, too, but if you have enough coin (which logically you will have by the time you get to that last merchant point) you can stockpile on pretty much anything you want. And, while facing the Archdemon, watch out for the ballistas, they pack quite the punch. And you'll have some unexpected backup too.

I collected masses of elfroot at the start of the game (im a hoarder) but I quickly ran out of inventory space so I got rid of most crafting things... because I didnt craft anything really Ill bare that in mind next time... and stock up ready I think Andraste Flemeth??? I only fought a dragon Ill bare the spirit damage in mind I have an enchanted axe which does +4 electricity damage and +4 damage to Darkspawn I think so with that at my side I cant fail (watch me return in a few hours saying that everyone died because I suck at video games ) Im thinking of being an elf in my next playthrough but I cant decide between rogue or mage... Im thinking mage Some of the spells sound super powerful and Id like to be a shapeshifter
