Is it me or is the graphics kind of FU? Before, I can clearly see the cauldron during alchemy but now, I can't tell if it's cooking or boiling.

2vs1 combat is hard. That is all. Moreso impossible unless you are really skilled at quick killing. My swordmanship is so damn high now I can one-two shot a few bandits that help me immensely.

Not really, I have 3v1 enemies in full plate armour before, just gotta pay attention to which enemy is the closest and most likely to strike you while making sure they don't corner you or get behind you.

I was playing Groundhog Day trying to kill two bandits to get a gem needed for a quest. One was heavily armored and with a shield and mace, the other had a bow and an axe. I finally got lucky and did enough damage to run off bow guy. Spent several minutes poking at mace guy with my sword until he died (after dying so many times to him, I played it cautious). Then ran down the first bandit. Still nearly died. had like three injuries and single digit hit points. Absolutely brutal.

I became master huntsman in my current PT. Yay! Perfect role for me. Animals still illegal loot tho, lol. Some of these side quests are actually quite good. Or maybe most? Not the activity stuff, the actual side quests. Except for Drahomira, gah.
Also: Had fun tracking treasure maps. Completely neglected that the first time.

I was wondering: how exactly are you supposed to make the big bucks off of poaching? Can you get a permit or something to make it all legit? You can store the skins indefinitely until they lose their stolen tag, but the meat spoils long before that. Actually, I had Pebbles carrying around some rotten hare for seemingly forever and it never seemed to lose the stolen tag. But the meat seems like where the real money is, considering how much you can get from just a few deer or boars. The millers don't have enough money to buy all the protein I'm peddling.

Cook dat meat. Or be good friends with a merchant. There is also a perk that eases selling stolen goods to merchants. And then there are still the millers. I don`t exactly know what raises their groschen allowance, but the amount resets daily.

So I haven't played this game, but I have a knowledge of history and I learned that the erm "antagonist" of the game is apparently Sigismund? The game itself is set during the early 1400s so that makes sense what with what he got up to conquering, and pillaging and all...but well, I dislike this concept in principle truth be told because well, nothing can happen to him if you want to keep with historical realism.
Sigismund wins, he becomes Holy Roman Emperor and king of Bohemia to boot...makes the story itself seem insignificant I suppose is what I am getting at, ultimately pointless and futile.

Sigismund is not really what I would call the antagonist, he's just the catalyst to how the game start and the state of Bohemia at the time. The plot is all about investigating bandit crimes in the region.

Sigismund (and the real big bad - the knight who leads... stuff) is shown in the game precisely twice, both times in the Prologue.
He's doing big politics while you're stuck with local politics and events. The revenge aspect may or may not be possible. My quick search sure returned nothing on Markvart von Aulitz.

Eh, Sigismund and Wenceslas don't really play a role in the story. Thy're in the background, really. Henry, the protagonist, is in service to a character named Sir Radzig, who in turn is loyal to Wenceslas. Thus you get caught up in the fighting. Ultimately, you're just fighting bandits and mercenaries trying to avenge your family and restore order to the region.

I'm not surprised. According to the game, he was a fairly high official in Prague, but Wiki or Google only make a mention of the name in connection with KC:D.
He's the main guy who Henry swears revenge on. Not Sigismund. But as I said, while the game claims he was pretty high up, internet is quiet and I don't have any good sources on the period on hand.

I just thought anything and everything you did would ultimately be pointless, because you are supporting a historically lost cause. Because Henry if he survived the events of the game, would likely live to see Sigismund crowned King of Bohemia, become Holy Roman Emperor. ._. Would make bits of the game sort of awkward no?

Oh, definitely.
But there's still a bit of struggle left before that even happens. And then Henry can always play some role in the Hussite wars.

I dunno I think I prefer more honest methods of earning coin like stealing from merchants or knocking out rich people and guards and taking their stuff. High Quality weapons, armour and clothing don't spoil and you can store them in the chest you can access at the millers place or any inn while you wait for the stolen tag to wear off.

Combat question: Longswords: better with or without shield? Without, they are meant to be used with two hands. It disable some of the combos when you use them with a shield.
