Half-Life 2 is not a good game. It has some instances of the worst level design I've encountered in FPS games thus far. The beach level with antlions was horrible, for example, and there was at least one level where you fought entirely metropolice (which were mindless, underwhelming enemies in the first place). The only thing that makes it somewhat decent is the unique atmosphere and setting. I loved the game but can not recall the level design to any extent so you could very well be correct. At atmosphere and setting are what that game is about for the most part. Oh and he gravity gun.....for the time that was such an awesome weapon imo.

Stronghold 2 is the most criticized game in the series but it's my favorite. The reason is simple: it's the only Stronghold game where infantry cant destroy walls, you can only destroy them with siege machines. I've always found it annoying that the key element of this great castle building series, castle defense, can be picked apart by some schmuck with a pointy stick. I couldnt believe when the pointy-sticking at walls came back in Stronghold 3 and i couldnt play that game solely because of that.

I get very legit annoyed and offended by what has been done to vampires in this world. Taking what should be a much feared and scary mostly evil foe and turning it into every thing but that. I detest all of these moronic vampire movies and shows that portray them as anything other than how I feel they should be viewed. And how do I come back to this rant? see some fancy new netflix show called vampire academy or some such tripe.

I recently finished The Last Of Us Part 2 around 1 am Friday morning. I don't care which basement dweller I piss off. The game was incredible. It's the most emotionally brutal game I've ever played. It reminds you what kind of a world TLOU take place, where there are no heroes or villains within the line up of main characters, only survivors with different perspectives. Ellie & Abby are two sides of the same coin. It shows what pain and vengeance (for both Ellie AND Abby) can do to the human mind. It's not all black and white. Anyone who has a problem with how I feel about the game can shove a porcupine up their @$$ for all I care.

Not sure why anyone drinks "sparkling" water as it tastes godawful to me(like soda with melted ice) and would rather drink regular water instead.

I concur. Sparkling water is awful, but sparkling mineral water, thats great. Mineral salts taste great in water after long hike or cycling. During my european trip I've most of the time offered sparkling water and I'm like noooo gimme normal water thanks if its not sparkling mineral water.

I like LaCroix because it makes me think I'm drinking a delicious sugary soda, when in fact I am just drinking burpy water. Keeps me close to fighting weight Mineral water is definitely better, love me some Topo Chico. Mineragua is another good one.

This is more about the opinion of certain people on the internet who abuse the word "woke," so it may seem a bit off topic, but technically their is unpopular as well as infuriating. Look, I'm neither gay nor bisexual, but I support the LGBTQ community. It really annoys me when people call LGBTQ, or any other progressive content in recent movies, shows, and games as "woke" or a political propaganda. My question to them is how long before they no longer consider same sex content and anything else progressive as "woke?" Let's face it, they don't want to see it at all, even if it's just a second. These toxic bastards make me sick. They have no problem going to Pornhub and watching two girls go done on one another, or two guys giving each other blow jobs, yet can't stand the sight of anything same sex related in movies or television. I pity them. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be bred to have such an asinine thought process. This is in response to some review bombing towards the new Willow show on Disney Plus. There are two characters who are both girls and they kissed on screen. Now the show is the subject scrutiny from brainless basement dwellers.

I hate live albums of musical artists. Any of the ones I have in my collection were bought by accident. Probably not an unpopular opinion. Theres a hell of a lot of bands out there that can't play live to save their lives. Going by pure probability, the vast majority of live albums are gonna be utter ass.
Still, there ARE exceptions to this.
I'd recommend ACDC's live album from 1992 over almost all of their studio albums because the studio stuff never quite captured the energy they put out when they had a good crowd cheering 'em on.
Deftones live material is definitly worth buying if you like the band because Chino made a point of mixing things up with each gig, making the live stuff less an inferior duplication of the studio material than a unique remix.
Devin Townsend's "retinal circus" is worth checking out simply due to how over the top he went with it. Even going by audio alone, you can tell he was having a blast.
Hell, despite not liking Pink Floyd all that much, I'll still point to their live performance in Pompeii as an example of a good live album. Playing in the amphitheatre of a dead city gives an atmosphere that simply can't be copied in a studio.
In short, the idea of live albums is fine. The problem is that most bands lack the skill to make a good one and/or the inspiration to make one thats something more than just an inferior collection of studio songs without the advantages of studio acoustics and mixing.

One of the cds i have is a live pink floyd, stinks. I wanted a hits cd and came away with live hits and the songs were lesser, and best of all interrupted by fan noise.
If I want fan noise i'll go to a concert

I watched GoT years back and found Season 3 to be the best. I would need to watch through it (or the first four seasons at least, since 5-8 aren't even on my radar) at least one more time to be sure.

I love live albums. Good live concerts and recordings.
But how viable it is, varies with the artists/band though. A lot of bands were/(are=Ghost) magnificent live. Better live. And the live versions of the songs were better. The bands that are great live, are those who's studio album songs are just sketchy templates for what they become live, filled out by inspired singer, inspired guitarist, inspired drummer...
For others, it doesn't quite work out. Then there are those who do very elaborate and complex music, but still, for a few events, manage to replicate that live. It's okay, but it really still is not better than the Studio album. Yes have sometimes managed that, sometimes not so much. Pink Floyd at Pompeii? Eeh, maybe. And there's Steve Hackett's re-enactment of early Genesis. But he relied incredibly much on Nad Sylvan to do that, as good as the hand picked musicians were, and Steve's own guitar playing, it wouldn't have worked without the right singer.

I think a big failure that Entertainment media do again and again, is that they ruin franchises by telling a story that the audience of the franchise didn't want to have, and which often retroactively destroy the previous movies and the stories those told.
I think Blade Runner 2049 is an excellent example. And every Sequel SW movie. And Alien 3, a good movie and story in itself, but not a good Alien movie. It's not a story that the Alien franchise audience wants. Then we have Terminator. Same thing again, the third movie screwed things up, but not as much as the followers.
