Just throwing this note out there:
It always jumps to the first unread post. So if several posts have been made since you last looked at the thread, it's going to jump to the first of those.
Also, if you've recently converted your forum, all posts in your older threads from before conversion are technically new, so if any of those are posted in, you'll be put on the first page the first time you click on the new icon. Viewing the last page of the thread should remedy this for all pre-conversion threads.

I think she means changing themes? Not sure. Just tried changing themes, and that doesn't "reset" the read count. You have to perform rituals in order to execute the conversion. A tank full of salt will remedy this.  |
