This is nice! twitter linkI believe I never played hidden evil or sfc3. Having BC and EF1 back and working will be awesome This is really nice! The Elite Force games and Bridge Commander are really awesome games! Definitely worth playing IMO.
Hidden Evil wasn't that great from what I read back in the day but I never played it and still want to try. Away Team I don't really know at all and am curious. Starfleet Command is not really my genre but ok.
Armada 1 and 2 are also already listed as "coming soon". They were also super fun RTS games. Great to see all this stuff on gog.
The one I am still really missing with TNG: A Final Unity. IMO the best ST game of all time. But I think it's in licensing hell as it was published by Spectrum Holobyte back in the day. I still hope they can get it eventually. The other one I remember from back in the 90s is ST: Generations from Microprose (which later was bought by Spectrum Holobyte, so they are probably in the same circle of licensing hell). Generations wasn't that great as a game though, so I am not too broken up about that one. But A Final Unity would be nice to have on gog. Fortunately I made an ISO image of my old CD back in the day, so I have a copy that runs on DosBox but still, I want it in my library.

It was a kind of indirect sequel to Starfleet Academy, right? Since Starfleet Academy is on gog, I am nut sure why Klingon Academy wouldn't be actually.

It also acts as a forerunner to events in Star Trek 6. I had it many moons ago but never did finished it as it didn't like the newer versions of windows as many games back then.

But come on, not knowing how memeable TNG is? The show that gave us stuff like this?

I have such a blast with LowerDecks. It's entertaining, it's hilariously funny and such a LOVE LETTER to all things Star Trek all rolled into one. Really wish we'd get more than 10 episodes a season.
Also, the wait for Strange New Worlds feels super loooooooong.

I watched the first episode of Prodigy. Gotta say, it is off to a really good start. Sure, it's more catered towards a young audience but you can still watch it pretty well as an adult (at least I could ). The visual quality the animation is really impressive, the design of the new ship is cool and the motly new "crew" of escaped prisoners has quite a good vibe to them. Also there are lot's of nice little nods for old Star Trek fans in it. I am intrigued and will definitely keep an eye on it. So far, all the shows I thought I wouldn't really be interested in (this one and lower decks) turn out to be the best of Star Trek in a long time.

I usually don't like videos that go all "everything used to be better" but yea, he is spot on at least at around minute 3 when he talks about Kirk in Star Trek Beyond. I hated that when I saw the movie. It made absolutely no sense that Kirk was so down and fed up with everything at that point. In general, the first new Trek movie worked well because it fed off the high energy dynamic of the TOS trio and the casting was awesome. But Into Darkness just became a badly executed rip-off and Beyond just didn't work at all for me. I don't agree too much about his comparison between TNG and Discovery though, simply because Discovery is closer to the TOS era and god, did we see a lot of very "familiar" interactions between the TOS crew members. Discovery does take the emotional level way too far at times but this was not the way to make the point.
Different topic though: I just finished watching the second episode of season 2 of Lower Decks and I am still coming down from the high. What an episode! There are so many easter eggs in it, I think I counted something between 20 and 30 and I am pretty sure I didn't find more than half of them. That collector ship is just chock full of little props, from Odo's bucket to a Horta egg to frigging Neelix's apron. There were true nerds on call for this one and I am loving every second of it.
Also, Tendi's "Kayshon when he became a puppet" had me in tears. This series just keeps getting better and better.

Just finished Lower Decks season 2 last night. Wow! What a season. This was so consistently good, I have not seen this before in ST. There wasn't a single episode I didn't like (granted, that's a little easier with just 10 25 minute episodes than with 26 45 minute ones but still). Of course, most of it is funny and a goes into parody territory (and the easter eggs!!! So many easter eggs! ). But I have to say, even apart from that, the characters are truly starting to grow on me in their own right and there are some really really good Star Trek stories in there, too. Take all the funny stuff and the references away and I think this still feel way more Trek-like than e.g. Discovery (and I am not a Discovery hater by any means, I enjoy it but it has way more issues than LD has). The finale was absolutely spectacular, also from a visual standpoint. I am not a big fan of 2D/cartoon style animated series usually but holy crap, some of the stuuff they did in season 2 is truly beautiful. Can't say i ever watched animation of comparable quality to be honest. I do have a few very small critiques: Mainly that I think they dialed the raunchy humor up a little too far at times for a Star Trek series. I am not a prude or anything but for Star Trek standards its was just a tick too much in 2 or 3 scenes over the season. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a not, where I hope they at least won't try and take this even further. Otherwise, I honestly can't think of anything to criticize at all. This was a wholly wonderful experience. 10/10 obscure Trek references in the background. Awesome stuff!

Interesting stuff.
Strange New Worlds has a lot of potential. Good to see it’s second season is already green-lit.
Lower Decks is alright. Really on the mark with most of their trek tropes.
I liked Picard and it’s the one I’m most curious for.
Haven’t tried Prodigy, dunno if I will.
Disco is the train-wreck dumpster-fire I’ll wind up watching at some point out of spite.
Whatever happened to the Section 31 spin-off?

I actually would recommend checking out Prodigy. It's surprisingly well done sound and graphics-wise (Space vistas, planets, effects) Unfortunately I just don't like most characters (other than they big stoney looking one). Interesting future story possibilities for sure, if you watch all of the first 10 episodes that are out, especially if you like Voyager . They actually film(ed)Picard season 2 and 3 back to back according to the Trek fan sites. Thus season 3 was all but confirmed. TNG was never my Jazz for the most part the "Section 31" series is still in development according to Mr. Paramount+ Star Trek Alex Kurtzman a few weeks/months ago. Some kind of an Star Trek Academy (cadets) series is also rumored. The goal is to have Star Trek (almost) year round in various flavors (live action, animated) for different demographics (kids, youth, adults) to keep/increase Paramount+ subscriptions and increase the brand value of Start Trek overall.

The only thing they got right is putting actors who "resemble" the old cast from TOS in the new Trek movies. Star Trek ends at Enterprise for me.

That game as amazing for its time and appluaded for rendering the physical likeness of each of the main TNG characters, as well as getting each of the actors to reprise the voice roles......But even on "EASY" it was riduculously hard. I never made it past the first away mission. I gave up on it after a very short time because it was impossible to play. To this day I have no clue how the story progresses or what the conclusion is.
