[Day/Night Game] Trouble on the Citadel - round "LE Part 2: Why Cerberus Is Right For You"

Aaaagh I am replaying ME1 atm and the weapons and inventory are the worst. That and trying to get the Mako anywhere without randomly bouncing off a mountain have been giving me a headache when I play 

Its only redeeming feature is it has a gun 

But it's even easier to compare stats in ME3. When you scroll through the weapons within each category, the bars show you how that weapon compares to the one you have equipped (the white/gray markers show you the stats for the equipped weapon). On the loadout diagram, it tells you the current power recharge speed changes. As Shepard carries more weight, power recharge speed slows from +200% to -200% (it is the weapon weight rather than the number of weapons that matters). It is up to you and your play style whether you want to carry some heavier weapons and have a slower recharge speed, or only carry lighter weapons and have a faster recharge speed. Personally, I carry 2-3 weapons with weight reduction mods (heavy pistol, SMG, and sniper rifle or assault rifle) to keep my recharge speed around 125-150%. I give the squad the best of each type of weapon that they are able to carry.

You do not sell weapons or other loot. They just become permanently available to you and your squad.

I already miss it! I quite prefer the game with powers vs the one without.

(Spoiler tags because I can't remember whether some of you haven't played ME3 yet.)

I actually had a thought today, while for a variation on the game that we could try at some point, if people like it.

People have roles as usual, including the Cerberus agents. One of the guaranteed roles would be Shepard him/herself, whose role would be described below. Shepard is not guaranteed to be good. Another player (not Shepard, but could be anyone else) begins the game as a captured sleeper agent. All players know who the captured sleeper agent is (they are in custody, after all).

Voting in this game would be done in secret by contacting the GM each day round. This would give the remaining sleeper agents a bit of an edge since their votes would not automatically be public, so they can more easily coordinate their votes without necessarily having to waste votes by pretending to be good.

During day rounds, the captured sleeper agent must answer three questions that fit certain rules:

• Shepard must officially ask the questions. Shepard will decide on the questions based on suggestions from other players, discussion that occurs, etc. Questions asked by other players must NOT be answered by the captured agent, unless Shepard selects that question. If Shepard is one of the remaining sleeper agents, they can of course decide on questions that don't reveal their accomplice's identity (or their own).
• The questions must be one of the following formats: yes or no questions; "who voted for player X last day round?"; "who did player X vote for last day round"; "did one of the agents vote for player X last day round?"**
• Yes or no questions may NOT outright ask, "is player x a Cerberus agent?"

**This last question might be too powerful, though. I'm not sure.

Otherwise, Cerberus agents still conduct an elimination each night, and other powers would probably still work as usual, though I haven't examined each one.


So...I dunno. Does that sound fun or like it would even work?

I'm thinking maybe the captured agent should be allowed to answer ambiguously, as long as they don't lie. Otherwise, I think some yes or no questions could conceivably be too revealing. Like, what if EDI is a sleeper agent, and the players ask whether one of the agents is an AI? That would narrow things down to EDI or Legion, and if only one of them happened to be in play, that question wouldn't be much different than asking, "is so-and-so a Cerberus agent?"

Possibly, Shepard and the captured agent will convey their official questions and answers to the GM, who will then write the interrogation into a narrative. That might make it less obvious if the captured agent tries to dodge a question. Maybe?

That sounds good, dragon. Maybe putting the questions and answers into a narrative would be the better way, otherwise, the sleeper agent or Shepard could easily reveal themselves.

I don't know, if I can participate in teh next game though (same with Skyhold, but since all GMs are in both games, I can put it here. I have to go to a clinic for a few weeks and I don't know how it will work with internet access, but hopefully, I know more in the next days (if all went well, I will go from wednesday on)

Thank you for clearing it up. I enjoy as well how both games evolve in a different manner and how they aren't almost identical.

I just hope they both will be able to gather enough players. It appears the activity is gradually subsiding.
