[Day/Night Game] Trouble on the Citadel - round "LE Part 2: Why Cerberus Is Right For You"

We are still business as usual, but it will be difficult for other departments if we have to go into lockdown or isolation.
I will still be working remotely, albeit at a more frustrating and annoying pace. Or maybe split into groups and work with eachother at a few people's houses depending on the situation.
On the other hand, waiting to see how the husband's work plays out, it looks as though it will be month on, month off in his department to cut expenditures, just have to hope he has enough leave to see out this mess.

We are however, both very lucky to be keeping our jobs throughought this, my best wishes and hopes for those who may be not doing as well.

Sounds intriguing, but I don't think I understand it.

seven, I like that idea. From what I understand, this could be a minor investigative role, since the whole premise is figuring out which role a player could be based on forcing an honest hint out of them.



I like that. This role can force/compel a player into telling the truth via hints for the remainder of the game, once the ability is activated. It's sort of the opposite of the role where you prevent a player from voting during the day.
The only thing is that I feel like this might be suited for another NPC other than Conrad, so I'll have to search for another NPC for this role. But I'll more than likely implement this role in a game, just to see how effective it is and how it fits overall in these games.

As for Conrad, I've thought of two possibilities so far (Thoughts on which you prefer, another idea, or whether we should keep the old ability is welcome ):

1. Conrad Verner could be the jester role for this game, like Florianne in the Skyhold games. (Conrad wins by convincing players to vote him off. Once successfully voted off, he can then haunt/kill a player who voted for him overnight.)

2 . Since Conrad Verner is a bit of an admirer/fanatic - Once per game he is allowed to admire one player. After this, he knows the role and alignment of this player. Should the player die during the day or night, Conrad assumes the role of the admired player for the remainder of the game. Conrad cannot vote for the admired player during the day.



Although the last description is still a little similar to Aria, I do think it's different enough considering Aria is only allowed to mimic an ability once, while Conrad can assume the role of his admired player for the remainder of the game. So if his admired player is Feron, he will act like Feron and invest a player each night until he is eliminated from the game. And of course, his admired player can also be an agent. Should that happen and the agent dies, Conrad will then assume their role and also join the spy chat as an agent.

The second one could be interesting since it introduces a wild card into the game for Conrad. I assume he would start as a neutral role, and take on the player's alignment if/when he takes the role?

Dragon, right, under the second suggested ability/role type, Conrad will be another Neutral Role whose alignment will be based on the admired player's alignment, like Charr. And just like Charr, odds are Conrad will actually be Good rather than Evil.

Now that I actually thought about it though, the second suggested ability for Conrad is actually pretty similar to the Evil Clone. But honestly, that's not a bad thing considering the Evil Clone was a very fun and dearly missed role.  So I'm going to officially change Conrad's ability to the second suggested ability for now, in this version of the game.

As for the minor investigative role that seven suggested, I found the character just for it: Gianna Parasini, the under cover agent that makes an appearance in the first game and later makes an appearance in the second one. 

Gianna Parasini

Gianna is a human Internal Affairs agent that crosses paths with Shepard in Noveria. She works undercover as Anoleis's secretary to investigate the corrupt bureaucrat that is also in charge of Port Hanshan. This is the very same port that Shepard wishes to leave via a garage pass. Shepard has the option in the first game to work with Parasini in finally providing enough evidence to arrest Anoleis. In doing so, Shepard earns the coveted garage pass. In the second game, Gianna can make an appearance in Illium, this time inviting Shepard for a beer and asking for their help in arresting an asari smuggler.

As a skilled agent, Gianna knows a thing or two in finding the truth. Once per game, Parasini may choose a player to press. Once pressed, the player will not be able to lie while hinting or questioned during the day. And if questioned, the player has to answer each question.

(And just to confirm, Gianna is not a Neutral Role, and will roll either Good or Evil at the start of the game)
