I was wondering if you’d like an option of modifying one of the suits to be a full Healer rather than a DPS with offheals. I don’t know if it’s possible in this type of the games, but I loved that role in a mmo, so I was sort of hoping it will be possible to heal & would be necessary or makes fights longer but easier if you have a full heals in the group vs all DPS.

I hope that at least one of the Javelins is capable of some kind of healing or defensive buffs.

I kinda like the idea of a drone focused Javelin that can be specced as a healer.

I was thinking that you could customize the drones to be DPS, healing, or maybe to project shields or something. The idea being that it would be a versatile class that can be a lot of things depending on how you build it.

Yes, but each can still play very differently depending on how the player builds them (ideally). Think more of a subclass rather than a different class. Plus, there’s just a lot of cool stuff you can do with the concept of a customizable drone focused class.

-(_ANTHEM_)-
It's a fantasy game with no need for explanations on how things work (according to Bio).
A bit of science-magic may be in the works. Though, the trailer clearly shows only explosions with life-like real world physics behind them. I like the idea of a team defensive buff. However, I get the feeling in a co-op game, the team can scatter far and wide.
Personally, I expect Tank, GP ( general purpose ), Long Range ( missles ), Offensive and Stealth suit classes. A Healer class, reminds me too much of DA:I. 🌸

No. I don’t want Anthem to play like Overwatch and have friends guilt/browbeat me into the healer role so they can take all the risks and yell over Vent every time they need healing.

Aha, so as in Dragon Age, mages heal people? If it's a co-operative game I've always found people should look after their own healing. Not a big fan of medigel transmitters...

Gods, please, no. I’d rather no heals than getting the “I have one job on this ship” BS. Healing is fun when you have a multitude of spells and triage to use the right one for the situation the party is in. Barrier is just one thing. You should be able to do Hots, dots, stack, AoE, burst-heal, pull out of danger, stun the threat, and, yes, shield when necessary and be on your toes while at that. It’s an awesome thing to be able to keep your party alive, but nobody said you are supposed to be bored stupid through it by rotating one CD, and half-heartedly off-DPSing in between.

Yet, I found the whole health thing and limited healing a quite refreshing aspect of DAI, but you're kinda right with the 1 trick pony approach of the Keeper. It was powerful though.

It’s just one on my list of many reasons I consider DAI the worst game Bio made since NWN1.... I only did the training module with the MP in it,so I don’t know how that barrier worked there.

As long as the barrier comes as a part of the full healing toolset, sure, we need the bubble. The DAI's removal of all healing save for pots and barrier still hurts my soul.

Thing is, I really like the concept of pre-emptive barrier-ing/guardbuilding. In a more balanced gameworld it would allow for nice strategy (maybe with a fully worked-out debuffing entropy skill tree).
But indeed, it was sold short a little in DAI. Maybe the future DA will allow for more options? Who knows...
