I'm usually respectful. It even says so in my title, dammit! However, I've been condescending a time or two. I'm not ALWAYS respectful, after all.
Punching reporters is not my cup of tea, though I've done it for science. After the beheading of Jamal Kashoggi assaulting the media for fun doesn't seem like the best idea.
Interesting the blue planet was made as concept art. That really means it's significant, but I can't identify it.

I noticed in the concept art it says mass effect: bowie so that could be the codename for the game.

A reference to David Bowie perhaps? The next protagonist.

A reference to David Bowie perhaps? The next protagonist. I've seen a comment saying that bioware name projects after singers and another one about anthem's codename Dylan, named after bob dylan. It was supposed to be huge and influential, so maybe the next mass effect will be huge in terms of scope.

You mean they chose Dylan because they wanted Anthem to be like Bob Dylan in some abstract way? I suspect it's just a fun way to name a project in the early stages.

They should have just named their project ABBA instead - critically and commercially successful while still earning a ton of money 50 years later.

Someone at Biower (looks at Hudson) must have been, or is, a huge Dylan fan.
That's why they chose to call Anthem by the code name Dylan while it was in "secret" development.
The reference to Dylan was that they wanted the game to be the G.O.A.T., just like Dylan was/is in someone's mind.
Funny how all that turned out....

It bit him in the ass pretty hard, and he'll have to make an amazing game at his new studio for me to buy it at discount.

I wouldn’t take that as anything. Despite that being a huge breach in a NDA if true, it’s clear he’s just joking at how long it’s taking them to make each game.

But could it be meaningful that he referred to Fryda and the Tempest crew? Or is it just because mentioning any trilogy characters and vehicles would be taken as certain confirmation of anything? Kind of like, referring to anything about Andromeda is seen as meaningless and random but any reference to Shepard would have fans go "OMG SHEPARD IS COMING BACK"?

Since the player is able to complete Arrival without squadmates, Bioware will remove squadmates from the next game. There will still be interacting with other characters, but those will be the crew of the ship, and npc's that are encountered at hub's, during missions.

I'm expecting people to disagree here, but perhaps that wouldn't be the worst idea? The squamates of the ME trilogy were such a great group of characters that it's always going to be a difficult task to replace them - so what if we just don't bother? For a practical reason, the use of squadmates in MEA's game play was so watered down from previous iterations that they may as well have not been there anyway. It would also give reason for Bioware to work on the characterization of non-companion characters which was sorely lacking in MEA. Of course the 'party' is a significant trope of RPGs but many get along just fine without the mechanic. Like the Witcher. You've just sold me - I want no squadmates in Mass Effect: Will Continue.

ME2 was mostly different squadmates and worked well. Even ME3 added in James, EDI and Javik. All relatively well-received. People will adjust to a new cast.

For a practical reason, the use of squadmates in MEA's game play was so watered down from previous iterations that they may as well have not been there anyway. Losing control of squadmate power usage in MEA made them functionally pylons. And a pylon would have been more functionally useful than Liam*. Heck, by the end of the end of the game -- or even sooner at about the time you get the Fusion Mod of Adrenaline -- your squadmates might as well not even exist. So yeah. If they decide to remove all squadmate control from the player, then we need the option to replace all squadmates with mannequins. * I finished an MEA playthrough about a couple of weeks ago and I just had to look up Liam's name because he is probably the most forgettable squadmate in the game. Also the worst squadmate combat-wise.

I think much of my nostalgia and emotions for MET is tied to the music. It's so epic, dramatic, emotional. MEA's music was too quiet and more like background tracks rather than songs in their own right. I liked it a lot though after I turned up the master volume in my PC settings and turned down audio and effects volumes in the game settings. Because then I could actually hear it.

Yeah its the same problem in most of the newer Bioware games. Music 100, fx 20, talk 30... WHY!?
