Aww, I missed you again? Yesterday was a good day, I got the Hakkon staff in a store chest and I got one of the unique purple 27 swords, Brand, I think. Needless to say I couldn't wait to try the staff out everywhere and anywhere. The staff is amazing, I'm so happy!

Needless to say I couldn't wait to try the staff out everywhere and anywhere. The staff is amazing, I'm so happy! I think it is the best Hakkon to have. The upgrade in damage is awesome. The Crescent Shadow is all hype though. It is cool to see the random damage it does periodically but you can't target with it. I have 3 of the darn things and can't bring myself to salvage any of them though...

Two unfortunate events. First with lower than me level people, all good until: Second time I just quickly joined anything available.. yeah that wasnt so good idea Then I got in some better games, but everytime I search for new game, its joining the session and result is "You've lost your connection to session"... this is new behaviour for me. ps. I love Alchemist.

I couldn't find any lobbies last night so I ended up doing a bunch of solo runs. Somebody finally joined my lobby and we played a few matches together. Another person joined the lobby, match started, next thing I know they were both gone. I don't know if some people are still experiencing connection issues and they dropped out or what because I got disconnected a couple of times earlier myself. Anyway, I couldn't find either player again and I really just wanted to play one more match before logging out. I was tired of doing solo runs and I just wanted something quick and easy. I found a threatening lobby with 3 players and I joined that. They were just about at the end of zone 4 when I joined. I killed a couple of things and they were pretty low on health. So we reach zone 5 and I see somebody is standing at the entry and not moving. The other two players were jumping around. I looked to see if a kick vote was cast for the person not moving, only to discover I had two kick votes. I have no idea what I did or didn't do as I only just got there. I thought "Whatever" and left. Well, actually my first thought was "Ok, have a nice death, noobs", then it was "Whatever" and I left. The thought occurred to me after that maybe they were waiting for a friend to join, but it did catch me off guard to see the votes. It's been kind of a mixed bag since I've been back. There are a lot of new players about or perhaps returning players. There's also a lot of amazing players that are far better than me. I have made a few new friends who are give or take the same as me. Also, I played a few HB matches just to see how I fare out and also to laugh at myself. Sometimes there are public matches on the go. I kind of hate HB, but I've gotten a bit more used to it. I have killed stuff and survived with Reaver, AW, Templar, so this time around I am actually trying to contribute (while being carried of course) but I'm cautious and try not to do anything stupid (much). After doing them a few times I'm actually ok up until Zone 5 and then I'm like "Why did I think this was a good idea again? What am I doing here?!?!" but I just try to be careful, kill some stuff and hopefully stay alive.

I got stuck in the trees in the Tevinter ruins the other day, that was a first. I tried jumping over the rails, fell in the trees and got trapped. I've had the bug where you get trapped in the wall if you enter the match during zone 5, but I never fell in the trees and couldn't get out before.

So here's the breakdown of the past day: It began normal, found some good lobbies, played a bit then logged off for a while. I did some chores, made coffee, sat down, joined a NM lobby, that too went as normal. As we were getting ready for another match, my husband called to me from the other room, asking if I could bring him a book he was reading, as one of the cats was in his lap and he didn't want to disturb her. I saw the lobby lineup change a little bit, didn't think much of it, clicked ready, went to get the book for my husband. The match had just started when I got back to my desk and the faction was venatori. I was SS and didn't understand why I had taken more damage than I normally do. Then I saw the venatori mage go into stealth and I thought "Oh f**k, it was changed to Heartbreaker and I didn't notice". I am not sure if I would have stayed in that lobby had I noticed it beforehand, but thankfully SS was the only agent I had available that I could actually play on HB with. I only fell once towards the end of zone 5 so it wasn't too bad, and I think I did quite well but unfortunately I crashed at the very end of the match so I have no idea how many kills I got, but I still got the XP anyway. I felt I did well despite the surprise at the start but I'll never know for sure. I really wanted to see the end of the match statistics! I didn't rejoin that lobby after as I had no available agents I could even consider playing HB with so I looked for other lobbies to level up my recently promoted agents. I joined a few routines and threatening lobbies, cracked open a bottle of wine. I joined a threatening lobby in either zone 4 or 5 and there were two players who looked like they were struggling. I finished that match then searched for another lobby. I joined a perilous one in progress but when I tried to ready up for another match, I got the black screen and had to exit. I planned on rejoining that lobby but then I found one of the players from the threatening lobby attempting to solo FC on perilous so I decided to go and help. There was a 99.9% possibility the player would have wiped at the start, based on what I saw happening in the threatening lobby. I went in with Sabby but she was specced for pure DPS, not support. The player did eventually fade out and I summoned the dragon for them. I finished that, then decided to stay in that lobby but changed to Keeper for the next one. Another player I often support joined the lobby as well as another player on my friend list who is around about the same as me. The wine was starting to kind of kick in around about then, but together with the other experienced player we held it down while the other two players faded out. The faction was darkspawn and the other two wouldn't stay put when we got to the bolter zone. I know it is boring to stay in one place and wait for the bolters to come, but there is a reason for it... It was hard going, as my friend entered with just a level 1 Hunter so he only had the starter abilities but we managed. Then we stayed for another match but at some point, I don't know if my friend D/C or he peaced himself out but I was left to fight qunari with two faded out players. I did it but by the time that was over, I realized I hadn't taken a sip of my wine for ages and I really needed a drink after that. I wasn't annoyed or anything but it was challenging and took all my focus and I forgot all about my drink! So after that I spent some serious time with my wine, bought some store chests and scrapped stuff. After that, I saw that my friend and the other two players had started a new lobby so I joined that. There wasn't a warrior in the lineup so I decided to be Katari. First player either D/C or ragequit, second player ragequit, then it was just me and my friend for a bit but he always has connection issues, we can never play in each other's lobbies because of lag. By then I was pretty drunk and didn't even realize for a few minutes I was all alone. I felt inclined to quit the lobby but I am working on 250 missions for Katari anyway and decided to see it through. After that, I started a lobby with Sabby, forgetting that I had specced her for DPS and not hybrid. By then I was starting to think that playing her was a bad idea as I lacked the ability to remember what abilities I picked and what numbers they were. It wasn't a problem on Peri, but it certainly was when I changed it to NM. I was like . So after we died I decided I probably didn't have the mental capacity to handle anything more than routine. I ran into that player I helped out earlier back in routine and did some with them, but what I was really looking for was a full perilous or NM lobby where I could just sort of blend in. I did just that but the wine got the better of me, by the time one of my other friends logged on I was well goosed and things were starting to spin and we had players we needed to carry. So I decided it was probably a good idea if I logged out. It was one hell of a day, some days nothing at all happens, then there's days like that where there's lots of things happening!

I was in a NM lobby that was bumped up to HB after, so I decided to stay. It was two LB people, myself, and a new player. I have seen the new player in other lobbies before and they are a door spammer, they will spam COME HERE over and over even if the person is standing right in front of the door. 3 of us were AW for this HB match and the new player was a lvl 1 Avaar. It was FC and we got to the suicidal captain zone (zone 4). I noticed the new player spamming COME HERE, COME HERE over and over again and I wondered why they were spamming it to begin with as it was a rogue door and nobody was a rogue. Then it dawned on me that they were trying to get the captain to follow them/stay with them. I just about died laughing when I figured out what they were trying to do.

I love the epic battle between wine and evil scum (I so badly want to say rebel scum...). I also wish we actually could get the captain/messenger/informant to actually listen to us and not charge sword in hand into the bolter killing fields (or even tell them not to go into the storm dragon breath -sigh). For myself, only notable lobby was my personal speed record - 9 min NM run. Obviously old map, it was an AW (very very high promotes) a templar (very high promotes) and me (Avvar), but we did open doors and all that jazz. Of course I didn't get a kill streak until zone 5... Then the AW left but we still squeaked under 13 min, which is generally good for me. In less impressive news, last week I joined a strong NM lobby with a level 1 AW (I did take off my pact belt at least). There was another AW level 1 amongst others, which is notable because when I died on zone 5 no one got to me in time so I visited the fade for a bit. I had 1700 health - the other level 1 had 8500! That's a lot of warrior promotions

Dang, haha! The PUG who tried telling the captain to come here the other day went from door spammer to door rusher. He was in another lobby I was in the next day, the group leader looked to me as if they are around about the same stat-wise as me, maybe a little stronger. Then it was that new player plus another new player. The other new player was very low on health and was the only mage and there were two mage doors in that zone so they waited until we cleared the zone so me or the other player could take care of the guardian or whatever else might be behind the door. The mage opened the free door first, then I accompanied them to the possible guardian door and next thing I know **poof** we have moved onto the next zone. I know it wasn't the leader, as I've played several matches with them in the past so it could only have been our new hero, the one who tells us where all the doors are, protector of the suicidal captain, and the person who has better things to do than wait around for treasure rooms to be opened after the zone is cleared. I know people are learning and we were all guilty of doing the same things but some PUGs are definitely more of a pain in the ass than others.

I thought our new hero had a "teachable moment" this evening but alas, I was wrong. I was in one match with them earlier, noticed they were back door spamming. A little later on it was just me and him/her, door spamming me. I knew what would happen, but I obliged them and opened the guardian door and went to fight it while our hero went storming off to kill everything else up ahead Yeah, that didn't work out too well for them and I was allllllllll the way back at the guardian door, almost too far to get to them to revive. Frost step was on cooldown so I hopped my way on over and got to them *just* in time for them to not bleed out. So I thought maybe then they'd understand that treasure doors don't always have to be opened right away. But nope, just after reviving, we passed a free mage door---COME HERE COME HERE Onto the next zone, same thing again, LOOK HERE! LOOK HERE! so again I opened the guardian door while they went off ahead to save the world. It was the torch zone and of course, being the hero they are, grabbed the torch and didn't make it very far. Then they spammed me again to revive even though I was actually **right** there next to them. I guess it's that time of night where I'm going to have to play private lobbies on my own because I'm just really not in the mood to be dealing with it tonight. This is usually the hour when it's very quiet and there's only a handful of people (if any) around. I'd rather play alone than be spammed relentlessly with the F keys. Yup, some new PUGS really are bigger pains in the ass than others. Funny thing is, I actually don't mind helping new people but some are a lost cause.

Played a bunch of matches with the same host for most of the night. Highlights being--It was just the two of us at this point and were about to enter Zone 4 of FC. I felt a bit of lag and got sent to Narnia. The entry area was there but, it lead to the void basically.I should have taken a screenshot, it was (I think) castle walls, sky and I saw the other player ascending up invisible stairs. I tried throwing myself over the side a few times to see if would sort itself out but I ended up having to leave and rejoin.
During another match we were joined by an archer with starter equipment. This was NM, Darkspawn, zone 4 (Bolter dance party!) and of course the veilfire. I was Keeper and just tried to barrier the archer as much as I could. But for some reason the archer decided to take the torch and open a rogue door and was greeted by a bunch of bolters and got blown to smithereens. The archer wiped because they were out of revives by then, but I still had to make my way over to the treasure room to get the torch. The other player had gone ahead to clear the way. I got banged up by the bolters and my guardian spirit kicked in but I managed to heal myself by killing those bolters in the treasure room. Then off I went with the torch to meet up with the other player.
The other player was Katari and I caught up to him just as he panicked himself and me . I got my face shot up by bolters and I could do nothing to stop it because Keeper was still panicking. My guardian spirit hadn't recharged itself yet but I did manage to drink a health potion in time to not die. I just hoped that I wouldn't need 2 health potions come zone 5. That was pretty funny though. Nothing gets me on the edge of my seat like Bolter time.

Ran several NM runs with familiar faces. Our most priority task was catching nugs of course. (also saving captain silly if we can) Three 201 nugs straight! then 192 nug! and then 201 again! after our host lokiholland left the lobby, there was no more nuggy. only 155-180ish bunnies. It was luckyholland afterall.

Ran a quick threatening search to promote my AW and ran into xrayspex73 . Lobby moved up to perilous which was nice. And then he left, and a couple of zones later was replaced by none other than wittyrover . Lots of nice quick NMs, although they kept scaring me bc of initial disconnects - I thought I was going to have to try to muscle through on my own (thankfully Witty kept coming back). Productive morning/evening* *timezones

I know, it's too bad there isn't a host who we can all connect to without having to leave and come back or deal with extreme lag. Well I'll shoot you a FR too so we can join each others' lobbies and hope for the best. I'm often active when most people are sleeping in my region (EU) so a lot of times I end up doing solo runs and hope somebody comes along, lol.

Lots of nice quick NMs, although they kept scaring me bc of initial disconnects I know well it's Origin. but the launcher is extra bumpy since last week. Your Origin status was 'AWAY' while we were playing in same lobby xD Someone told me it can be happen if Origin application is somehow double launched. Not sure that's the case tho. Anyway, good games I'm often active when most people are sleeping in my region (EU) so a lot of times I end up doing solo runs and hope somebody comes along, lol. we gotta play more often together!

Yes Origin has been really nuts even more than usual. It says one of my friends is always playing DAI but not in game but he is not actually playing or logged in. Another one of my friends is showed as being online and logged into DAI but shows her not in game while she's in a lobby playing with me. A friend of mine is forever getting kicked all the way out of the game and out of Origin and sometimes she's unable to log back in for days. That happens to me sometimes but I'm only unable to log back in for a few minutes. Sometimes I won't see her for days after randomly crashing.

That was fun. Although I hate how the game has a 70% chance of black screen if the lobby changes difficulties...
Some things never change.
I hadn't played DAIMP for ages...

Yeah, I've had some funkiness with origin since the last update - it seems to randomly shift my status without me touching it. But at least I'm not getting many crashes these days To Finvola - thanks for the FR - hope to find you online soon, and hopefully XRay will stay in Thedas for a while
