I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this game yet, but I recently stumbled across it, and so far I am rather liking the look of the game's mechanics. Essentially, Atlas Reactor is a turn based strategy game built around a 4v4 multiplayer mode. Players are able to make simultaneous turns that occur in four phases, and as such the game's depth becomes more about predicting your enemies' location so as to hit them with your attacks. The character designs also look pretty interesting, and there is a nice variety to their concepts; the robot dog looks fun; I'm getting a really strong Wildstar vibe from the overall ascetic.
What are your thoughts? Personally, I always find titles that try to hybridize two or more features that normally don't go together, and do it well, to be the most memorable to play. The jury's still out on Atlas Reactor, but I like what I have seen so far.

Okay, after several hours of playing this game with my friends I have to say that I am a fan. The simultaneous turn based system, while daunting to get the hang of at first, quickly lends itself to the 'fast paced' action of this rather unique title.
There have been several games where my team and I have scored a final kill with only a handful of HP left and on the very last turn of the match. The different phases of the combat turn really make it so that you have to be thinking 3 steps ahead with your positioning and use of attacks, while at the same time taking the enemy players' actions and abilities into account. Do you use your heavy damaging attack with a 5 turn cooldown now and risk missing as your opponent might teleport out of the way, or do you whittle them down with weaker attacks and force them to use their jump consumable? Etc.
Each of the characters offers a nice style of play, though I am rather confused as to why the some of the more defensive ones can out damage an attack hero at times; though the game is technically still in early-ish access. All the playable choices have four main abilities as well as an ultimate that is charged by preforming successful actions with the other four. On top of that each of the five powers have several 'mod' slots that can change up how a power will function allowing for differing builds despite two people using the same character.
All in all I am enjoying the game so far, though I would like to see the roster expanded a bit more, and new game modes to be added in to the standard team deathmatchs. Has anyone else had the chance to try this one out? I would interested to read what you all think of it.
