While in the Alienage Hawke meets an elven woman named Arianni. She is searching for her son Feynriel, a young man with a talent for magic, a fact that his she hid out of fear of losing him to the Circle until his nightmares could no longer be ignored. Arianni suggests speaking either with Thrask, a templar at the Gallows Courtyard, or Feynriel's father Vincento, a human merchant in Lowtown. Hawke approaches Vincento first. He tells Hawke that he sent Feynriel to Samson, a former templar who is sympathetic to runaway mages. He stays out of sight during the day but stays near Darktown during the night. The party heads to Darktown at night. Hawke speaks to Samson and he tells Hawke that he couldn't help Feynriel since the boy was unable to pay for his passage. that he sent Feynriel to see Reiner, a ship captain operating out of the Docks. Samson took another girl to him a week past, but is now concerned that he may have taken them captive instead. They head to the docks and enter Arthuris's Private Dock, the party is ambushed by a small group of Critter-ranked Marines, sailors, and an elte ranked enforcer. After dispatching them Hawke heads upstairs.
Hawke walks in on a poor mage cornered by Captain Reiner and two associates, who transforms into an Abomination. After killing them Hawke searches the mages body and finds a letter addressed to her father Ser Trask a Templar. Hawke also finds a bill of sale in a nearby chest. Leading them to another group of slavers in Darktown. The party runs into a group of slavers who's leader is mage by the name of Danzig. After a brief conversation he attacks. The party easily dispatched the group. Hawke searches Danzig's body and finds a map directing Hawke to the Slaver Caverns at the Wounded Coast.
I am still doing this quest so I will post an update.
Edit: Hawke heads to the slaver's cavern. Inside he confronts a slaver with a dagger to Feynriel's neck. He tells Hawke he would let go of the kid if Hawke pays the fee. Hawke agrees and the slaver sets Feynriel free. Hawke and Feynriel talk. After some time Feynriel says he wishes to go with the Dalish. Hawke tells him he knows the Keeper and would put in a word for him.

The party now consisting of Carver, Aveline and Merrill head to Hightown. Near the Chantry they meet Magistrate Vanard. He informs Hawke about an escaped criminal who has taken refuge in an abandoned ruin outside of Kirkwall. A patrol of guards was sent to retrieve him, but they were slaughtered by unspecified "creatures" in the ruin. Hawke agrees to return the criminal.
Upon arriving at the Abandoned Ruins, Hawke meets with guardsman Nabil, who tells him that the criminal has likely been killed by the beasts inside the tunnels. Elren, an angry elven merchant, shows up and berates the guard for failing to deliver justice to the murderer within. When questioning the elf, he reveals that the criminal has been kidnapping and murdering elven children for years and hasn't been punished. Furthermore, his last victim was Elren's daughter, Lia. He accuses the guards of simply stalling for time to allow the murderer to get away. Nabil insists that defying the magistrate's direct orders is "madness." Hawke can state their intention to bring the criminal back to Magistrate Vanard, as originally promised, or to kill him for Elren. Hawke promises Elren he will kill the murderer.
Here, Hawke finds an elven girl sitting at the end of a walkway. She reveals that she is Lia, and that the criminal let her go. While the man was "hurting her" in some unspecified fashion, he abruptly stopped and started crying, stating that "demons" in his head were making him kill elven children. He then told her to run away, which she did. However, Lia asks Hawke not to hurt him, insisting that he isn't responsible and to find a way to help him. In the final chamber, Hawke finds Kelder, semi-lucid and cowering up against a pillar. Kelder is actually Magistrate Vanard's son, who has been covering up his insanity and the atrocities resulting from it; however, he does not want to be rescued, begging Hawke to kill him to stop "the demons" compelling him to kill more elven children. After the conversation Hawke grants Kelder's wish and kills him.
Hawke returns to speak with Nabil and the reunited elves. Hawke then returns to Hightown and speaks to Magistrate Vanard. He tells Hawke to get out of his face and that he wants nothing to do with him.

While the party was walking in Deadman's Pass. They rescued Javaris Tintop and his guards from five Normal-ranked giant spiders. Javaris asks Hawke to kill a band of Tal-Vashoth to win favor with the Qunari Arishok, securing trading rights to a recipe for a powder that explodes without magic or lyrium. He says that it should be profitable for all. While traversing the Wounded Coast and slaying Tal Vashoth. They meet a Tal-Vashoth. The Tal Vashoth explains that he and his fellows left the Qun, dissatisfied with their roles but refusing to "sell their swords" (and thus their honor), so they have taken to murder and theft. He, however, is disgusted by this and seeks to become a sellsword, though under the Qun's philosophy he is "worse" than his brethren for doing so. They enter the Tasl Vashoth cave and fight their way to the leader. After a hard fight. The party prevails and brings the Blackpowder to Javaris.

Hawke went up the Sundermount mountain and met Merrill, who accompanied Him up the mountain to perform a ritual involving the amulet received from Flemeth. After a brief attack from undead Hawke discovers that Merrill is a mage. After a brief conversation, they continue up the mountain until they reach a cave entrance. They fight spiders and eventually emerge on the hillside. The way forward was blocked by a magical barrier. When prompted, Merrill removed it via blood magic. On the other side of the barrier lies a creepy graveyard. The party is attacked by an arcane horror accompanied by several undead and a shadow warrior. After dispatching the creatures, the party goes to the altar where Merrill performs the ritual. Flemeth emerges from the amulet and explains that Hawke may well have saved her life, in return for saving Hawke's. Flemeth then transforms into a dragon and flies away. They return to the cave entrance and the party is automatically transported back to the Dalish camp. From there, Hawke's party is transported to the Elven Alienage in Lowtown where Merrill asks if she can expect a visit from Hawke in her new home. If you ever do another PT before going to the altar, continue on the path up the mountain until you reach the end. Not going to give any spoilers though. Edit: Even though you already did the altar scene, I think you can still make your way back there and continue past the altar.

Hawke went to speak to Varric at the Hanged Man. Varric told him that there was a Warden in Kirkwall who arrived with refugees from Ferelden. Hawke then travels to Lirene's Fereldan Imports in Lowtown to speak with Lirene. She tells him about the Grey Warden, Anders, and directs Hawke to Anders's Clinic in Darktown. Outside there's an angry mob of Fereldens protecting Anders. Hawke reassures them that they are all on the same side. Realizing Hawke is a Ferelden and means no harm they let him through. Hawke travels to Ander's Clinic, in Darktown. Anders initially reacts to Hawke's presence with hostile uncertainty but after Hawke asks for a way into the Deep Roads, he proposes a favor for a favor. Anders explains that he came to Kirkwall to free his mage friend Karl, who is a prisoner in the Gallows. If Hawke helps Anders bring Karl back to safety, he'll provide Hawke with Warden maps of the Deep Roads. The group heads to Hightown at night and meets Anders near the Chantry. They find Karl, but he had been made Tranquil and set up as bait. Anders is enraged by what has been done to his friend, and as the party is attacked by the templars, the spirit of Justice overtakes him. Once the templars have been defeated, Karl becomes himself long enough to ask Anders to kill him rather than let him live as one of the Tranquil. Anders fulfills his friends wish and kills him.

Varric, hear's a rumor that someone from the Chantry is offering good money for a mission. The party goes to Lowtown at night to find out more. Just south of The Hanged Man Hawke sees Sister Petrice setting herself up for a first-class mugging. Rescue her and she offers Hawke the quest, inviting the party to meet her at her safehouse to learn more. At her safehouse she introduces the party to a Qunari Saarebas she named Ketojan. She needs Hawke to escort Ketojan outside the city. In order to escape the city unseen, Sister Petrice instructs Hawke to lead Ketojan out of the city via an underground passage. The party takes the path through the Undercity Warrens. Eventually they run into a band of thugs. The thug leader confronts Hawke, hurling insults at him and Ketojan. The insults angers Ketojan, and when the thug leader tries to stab Hawke, Ketojan is provoked into action and unleashes his magic upon the thug leader. This causes the rest of the thug band to attack the party. Upon exiting the underground tunnels to the Wounded Coast, Hawke encounters an encampment of other Qunari, who call Ketojan "Saarebas," meaning "dangerous thing". Apparently, the members of Ketojan's karataam were killed, and their bodies were left in a trail leading to exactly where Hawke's group would emerge. The Arvaarad proclaims that since Ketojan has spent some time without his handler, he may have been corrupted by demons and thus cannot be allowed to live. Hawke tells the Arvaarad that he too is a mage and the Qunari puts Ketojan under a binding spell, and attacks the party immediately. AFter the battle Hawke and Ketojan have some words. Ketojan insists on returning to the Qun, despite Hawke's protests. Seeing there is no convincing him otherwise Hawke tells him to do what he must do. Ketojan thanks him and then sets himself on fire. The group returns to Sister Petrice's safehouse in Lowtown at night. Hawke finds Petrice and her Templar assistant packing up, intending to leave without a trace. When confronted she reveals that had Hawke been killed, she would have used the events to turn the Chantry against the Qunari. Hawke then demands his pay.

Also what happens if you max out rivalry on a companion? Cause it's hard getting friendship points from Carver. Almost everything I say or do nets me rivalry points. My Hawke is primarily diplomatic, but can be sarcastic to those who are asses like Ninette's husband.

Hwke heads to Viscount Keep to inquire about the disappearance of the Viscount's son. He walks into the Seneschal having an argument with another mercenary group. After the argument the Winters leave. He tells Hawke that Saemus was taken by a Tal Vashoth in the Wounded Coast. The party heads there. Hawke wallks into another heated argument taking place concerning the fate of a Qunari named Ashaad, whom Ginnis has just finished killing. Saemus is outraged by what she's done, and Ginnis claims that he spends too much time with them and needs to be dragged home. Hawke interjects, and Saemus reluctantly agrees to return home with them so long as the Winters do not profit from what Ginnis has done. Ginnis threatens to cut out Saemus' tongue and charge extra for bringing him back quiet, but not before turning her blades on Hawke, beginning a fight.
A fight ensues and after defeating them. Saemus warns Hawke that Ginnis mentioned that there would be re-enforcements on the way. Hawke tells him to hang tight and two waves of Winters attack, after defeating them, Hawke decides to return Saemus home. At the Keep, the Viscount and Saemus starts arguing about the treatment of the Qunari. Saemus believes that they ought to be respected, while the Viscount sees them, or rather their influence, as dangerous. Hawke excuses himself by saying "this is a family affair" and gets his reward.

(Haha, Anders' outburst about the Ketojan's argument and the brainwashing... sometimes this is a big temptation to put it...) (My red!Hawke)
You don't need to max the friendship or rivalry with Carver. Ralph was at low friendship at the end. This was a big progression from a started rivalry. And was believable. I felt, they were getting closer to each other despite the distance (or because of the distance...) If you take him to the Deep Roads, ad in the Legacy you'll get many friendship points if Hawke not an ass to him.

Back at Gamlen's house. Hawke received a missive from an unknown saying they urgently need Hawke's help. Hawke heads to the Wounded Coast and meets up with Ser Thrask. Thrask teels him in the cavern behind them their are a group of apostate mages who recently escaped from the Circle of Starkhaven. They needed to be brought in but he did not want blood shed. He told Hawke to be quick cause another Templar named Ser Karras was on his way, and he doesn't show mercy. Hawke agreed and went inside. The first mage the group encounters is a blood mage. They defeat the blood mage and his undead, and continue. Hawke meets an apostate named Alain, who informs Hawke that the apostate leader Decimus has turned to blood magic. At the end of the cavern Hawke meets the leader Decimus. Decimus unleashes the undead and uses his blood magic. After killing them a lone female mage tells Hawke how can he do this since he's one of them. Hawke replies "he gave me no choice." The mage wants to make a deal if Hawke kills Thrask they could escape. Hawke refuses cause even though Thrask ia Templar he is a good man. SHe reponds by saying Hawke must find another way to free them. Outside Ser Karras has arrived. He asks what's my business Hawke replies "I am a friend of the mages." A fight ensues. After a pretty tough fight the Templars lie dead save Thrask. The mages come out and Thrask says he will be leaving the Templars after he returns Alain. The mages thank Hawke and escape.

I used Carver, Aveline, and Anders. I have not gotten Fenris yet though I have his quest in my journal. Even though my mage Hawke has been destroying everything he encounters. I mean sometimes it's just him by himself. The last time I played I remember the Fenris recruitment quest to be tough. Also what happens if you max out rivalry on a companion? Cause it's hard getting friendship points from Carver. Almost everything I say or do nets me rivalry points. My Hawke is primarily diplomatic, but can be sarcastic to those who are asses like Ninette's husband. Shepherding Wolves with Fenris. he doesn't speak much, but great.
My Hawke is only an ass to thugs and bandits and most of the time he's just sarcastic. But it's good to know nothing serious happens like Carver leaving.

No, even if he becomes a Templar, he says, that the family still the most important to him. So: in neutral state he will back to help Hawke at the finish as Grey Warden, and doesn't turn against Hawke, if he's a Templar.

WHile searching the Docks district for the warehouse. The party ran into a dwarf named Lord Renvil Harrowmont and his two bodyguards. He told Hawke that he came from a once esteemed family, but that now due to King Bhelen, he was the last of his line. He said that the Carta had been looking for him to kill him, he asked Hawke for help. Hawke agreed. The party searched the docks district killing three bands of Carta thugs. They returned to Renvil, and he thanked Hawke. He told Hawke that there would be more where that came from.
I did not know Bhelen was so ruthless since I never did the dwarven noble origin. I only supported him in DA:O because he promoted open communication and trade with surface dwarves.

Hawke had received a rumor about a woman seeking a Templar outside of the Chantry in Hightown. The woman's name is Macha and the templar is her brother Keran. He recently joined the templars and more recently, mysteriously disappeared. She fears that Meredith, Knight-Commander of the Templar Order in Kirkwall, has something to do with his disappearance, and asks Hawke to investigate into the matter. Hawke heads to the Gallows Courtyard and speaks to a young recruit named Hugh. He tells Hawke, Keran was one of his friends, and he, along with another recruit named Wilmod and several others, have recently vanished, one-by-one. Hugh expresses his concern that Meredith has been forcing templars to undergo some strange initiation ritual, in which templars without enough dedication to the cause are killed for failure. Another templar recrit Ruvena, interjects stating that Wilmod has returned and that he has left the city to "clear his head." Hawke must then travel to Wilmod's Camp, outside of Kirkwall.
Upon arriving, Hawke encounters Knight-Captain Cullen intimidating the frightened recruit. Despite Wilmod's insistence that he doesn't know anything, Cullen strikes him and draws his sword on him. When Hawke intervenes, Cullen tells them to keep out of templar business; however, Wilmod suddenly rises, declares angrily that this will be the last time that Cullen dares threaten him, and transforms into a shade accompanied by abominations. After Hawke helps Cullen fight the demon and its summons, the Knight-Captain reveals that he was attempting to get information from Wilmod, as the recruit had been demonstrating uncharacteristic behavior. Cullen claims that he would not have hurt Wilmod and was just trying to make him understand that he was serious. Cullen does not believe that Meredith had anything to do with it, and although it is true that templars must undergo an initiation ritual, it is nothing more than a silent vigil in which the greatest danger the recruits face is falling asleep. Cullen will tell Hawke that Wilmod and Keran were last seen at the Blooming Rose.
At the Blooming Rose, Hawke speaks to Viveka, after some convincing, she reviews the books and reveals that Wilmod and Keran have been in the brothel. She states that Wilmod last saw Idunna, "The Exotic Wonder From The East," who is upstairs. Hawke questions Idunna about the templars, but she proves evasive, stating that "talking is boring" and invite Hawke to have some "fun" instead. Idunna asks for the name of the one who sold her out. Regardless of how Hawke attempts to reply, Idunna casts a blood magic spell compelling Hawke to respond how she wants, revealing Viveka's help. Idunna vows to make her pay, then compels Hawke to draw a knife across their own throat. Hawke breaks the compulsion, and she falls to her knees cowering. She reveals that she is a blood mage who enchanted Wilmod and Keran, possibly other templars, and then sent them Tarohne, who implants demons into them to sow chaos and paranoia in the ranks of the Templar Order. She claims Tarohne talked her into the whole thing, stating they could "recreate the ancient Imperium, that mages could rule again, not serve." Hawke leaves her fate to the Templars.
Idunna directs Hawke to a blood mage hideout in the Sanctuary in Darktown. Hawke's main goal is Tarohne, a fanatical apostate mage and the mastermind behind the plot, who has a great hatred for templars. Keran is being held captive, bound in a floating magical cage, as Tarohne found him unsuitable to be possessed: she is instead drawing energy from him. After defeating her, Hawke speaks to Keran. He swears he is not possessed. Hawke asks Anders to make sure. Anders casts a spell and says "if he was an abomination he would have defended himself." Hawke let's Keran leave. Hawke returns to Cullen at the Gallows and tells him everything that has transpired. The Knight-Captain says he will keep Keran under watch for 10 years, after which if he's not possessed he will be made a full Knight.

Hawke heads to Danarius's mansion, to meet up with the mysterious elf he met earlier, Fenris. They meet up outside and Hawke, Fenris, Carver, and Anders head inside. Inside they are attacked by demons everywhere they go. Eventually they kill a rage demon that has the key to Danarius's master bedroom. Inside they find an empty room. Fenris tells Hawke he will be waiting outside, and that Hawke was free to take anything of value. The part leaves the mansion and speaks to Fenris. He explains a bit more about his motives and Danarius, the offers his help if Hawke needs it. He said he will be staying at Danarius's mansion.
That's it I am ready to go to the deep roads. I have 2 quests left but they sound kinda shady. One is to help Meeran kill a noble, and the other is to help a dwarf who is willing to fund the expedition as long as he is paid double.

Hawke went on the deep roads expedition with Carver, Anders, and Varric. Inside their passage was blocked. Varric suggested looking for another way around. Bartrand agreed. Bodahn asked Hawke if he could find his "son" Sandal. Hawke agreed. A little further in the group found Sandal surrounded by dead darkspawn and a frozen ogre. Hawke asked him how he did it and Sandal gave him an item. Hawke told Sandal it was safe to go back. Deep within they found an idol made out of red lyrium. Varric showed it to Bartrand and Hawke tossed it to him. Bartrand left but not before sealing them in. A little further they fought mysterious creatures called the Profane, demons and a dragon. Inside they met a rock wraith that told him that he will give him the key if Hawke lets him live. Hawke agreed. The wraith told him their was a dangerous creature further down.
The party opened the door and was confronted by a huge Profane. The fight was very long and very hard. Towards the end everyone was knocked out except Hawke. With a little bit of health Hawke killed it. Afterwards the rock wraith reappeared and told the party to only take the key from the chest, everything else was his. Varric suggested that there might be valuable items within the chests. This angered the wraith and it attacked summoning more Profane. The fight was easy, and the party returned to the surface. Three years passed and Hawke bought back the family estate in Hightown and became wealthy.

So I'm in act 2 and it looks like all the dlc is not working again, even though it says they're installed. In a way it is frustrating cause I bought all the dlc, so I've lost money. But in another way I do enjoy the base game. I just wish EA would have let Steam or GoG release the game. There versions of DA:O come with all dlc. I know cause I own both versions.
At least I know for a fact Inquisition has all paid for dlc installed. Cause when last I looked it had the Dark Emporium in game.

I looked on youtube and saw the sculpture so I know that's how "Mark of the Assassin" activates. But in my mansion there is no sculpture. I bought all dlc. In game when I go to downloadable content on the main screen, it says that all the dlc I purchased is installed, but when in game nothing shows up. This is the second time this has occurred. The first being my first playthrough.
