let s throw a bottle in the sea
i m still puzzled at who (and when) has free pass on the third step in nba... It s obviously mostly going to the rim, and mostly for franchise players, at least it was the way i understood it. But lately, i saw few free pass for non star players and ...
Also, (wiki nba travelling page)
"A player who receives the ball while he is progressing must release the ball to start his dribble before his second step."
doesnt seem to apply at all ! Or maybe it s because i watch the bouncing instead of the release. Anyway, Europe referees will blow those all the time.

There is nö travelling in the NBA. Indeed. In the late 80s - early 90s guys actually played defense. Today's NBA isn't even a sport, it's a fucking joke. More of a fashion show, so like "In-Style" magazine for dude-bros Hockey is the only great sport left on Earth

There is nö travelling in the NBA. Pretty much. Pivot foot rules are also constantly ignored. In most sports, you learn to play the game and the stakes get higher at each level. For the NBA, the design is actually intelligent if not true to the game - entertain the people, show them highlights, give them ooh and ah. After Jordan retired, my love of the NBA faded fast and by the time Kevin Garnett retired it was gone. They killed the sport for more money, and to please the masses. Better than what the NFL is doing. In my lifetime, I have changed a lot. Or was it society? I grew up loving football, dreamed of playing professionally, was All-State in high school and played for the Badgers. It was my life. Last year, I watched half of a Broncos game, and zero college football. If I had children I would encourage them to play anything else. Basketball is still a great game - play it with your friends, and call traveling when it happens!

Nba is still spectacular, and shooting contests are impressive but boring too, i guess i ll watch less playoff in the coming years

People love dynasties. I watched the Celtics/Lakers and was never bored by their excellence. Same with Detroit during their run. Regarding Jordan - he travelled a LOT However, it was a cult of personality/athleticism thing for me. I wanted to be like Mike, travelling included. He is actually responsible for where we are now, so I guess my cohort of fans is to blame

Basket ball has morphed into an awful spectacle of blatant traveling and charging on inside moves or 3 pointers. Good defense is not encouraged. College B ball is FAR better. The nba and its rules are awful

It s play off basket ball again, and i m watching this year ! Why am i making this mistake again.... Well some great indecisive games i guess. and cool new stars. Though the travelling problem is EVEN WORST... I see 4 steps quite often(and 5 steps once on Doncic with double pivot!!), while some strange ones are called sometimes... Whatever, still feels nba referees chose some match winners when it was a close call. No idea if this is even discussed by journalist/fans, not journalists during game at least...

i have finally learned that theres a new 0 step or gather step, but i have no idea how it s enforced, cause clearly, most player dont use it, ans some third step are called, even for Lebron. What a mess, travelling was easy, now even YTbers seem lost when presenting it All in all a great playoff season has started, i m watching many games in replays
