Cyberpunk 2077 was shown at E3 Xbox Conference.
This demo is definitely "livelier" than Anthem.

The world feels "alive" in Cyberpunk, not so in Anthem Alive? Maybe. It just looked crowded to me. And like a fast forward version of Blade Runner 2049 that I watched last week. A lot of people were living their lives. A lot of different people (sex stuff on the subway, business people, punks), and that tends to bring worlds to life (a nice way to figure out whether a character is fleshed out is to ask how much we know about that character that is completely irrelevant to the plot). Not the same with the first anthem trailer which showed people, but mostly they were just walking around. A subtle difference but an important one.

The world in TW3 also was very lively compared to other open world games. It just sucks that it wont be til late 2019 at the earliest til this game comes out.

A message from CDPR: "It’s been over 2077 days since we announced our plan to develop Cyberpunk 2077. We released a CGI trailer, gave some interviews and… went dark. Normal procedure for these kinds of things — you announce a game and then shut up, roll up your sleeves and get to work. We wanted to give you the Witcher 3 and both expansions first, which is why this period of staying silent was longer than we planned. Sorry for that. As soon as we concluded work on Blood and Wine, we were able to go full speed ahead with CP2077’s pre-production. But we chose to remain silent. Why? At she point we made the decisions to resume talking about the game when we have something to show. Something meaningful and substantial. This is because we do realize you’ve been impatiently waiting for a very long time, and we wouldn’t like anyone to feel that we’re taking this for granted. On the contrary — it gives us a lot of extra motivation. The hype is real, so the sweat and tears need to be real, too But to the point. Today is the day. If you’re seeing this, it means you saw the trailer. - our vision for Cyberpunk, an alternative version of the future where America is in pieces, megacorporations control all aspects of civilized life, and gangs rule the rest. And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don’t let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 is a true single player, story-driven RPG. You’ll be able to create your own character and… well, you’ll get to know the rest of what show at our booth at E3. Be on the lookout for the previews! Before we finish, you probably have some questions, 1. When? When we told you we would only release the game when it’s ready, we meant it. We’re definitely much closer to a release date than we were back then but it’s still not the time to confirm anything, so patience is still required. Quality is the only thing that drives us. It’s the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher. 2. How big? Seriously big, but… to be honest, we have no bloody clue at this point in time. Once we put it all together, we will openly tell you what you can expect. And we promise we’ll do this before we start talking about pre-orders or ask anything of you. 3. Free DLC/Expansions/DRM Expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3. As for DRM, CP2077, will be 100% DRM-free on PC. 4. Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts? Once again, thank you for your patience. If you have a minute, do visit cyberpunk.net and share your opinion (about anything) with us. We read everything you posted we treat it very seriously. Yours, CD PROJEKT RED Team"

I wonder...if you swapped the games, BioWare announcing Cyberpunk and CDP announcing Anthem, what would the reaction be? How much of the reaction to each game is a reflection of gamer's attitudes to both companies, and to MEA and TW3? I feel like BioWare is doomed before they even show up. If Bioware had announced a new single-player, story-based rpg with no microtransactions, I would have been extremely happy and very likely preordered it.

Go here if you are interested.
The world feels "alive" in Cyberpunk, not so in Anthem Anthem showed gameplay in the middle of a forest where wildlife wants to eat you and humanoids wants to kill you. The Grabbits looked lively though. Cyberpunk showed environmental cutscenes of people living their daily lives in Night City that might not even be in the final game.

The only cyberpunk thing in that trailer was the name. The atmosphere was too bright and everything was too clean, as i say somewhere else it looked more like a futuristic gta mod than a gritty futuristic dystopia.
Also this talk about Anthem not feeling alive is kind of a joke, Considering how alive that forest world was with all the animals, the rivers and lakes systems, the trees moving with the wind etc. Everything was moving. How that doesn't feel alive?

I wanted to write the exact same thing, where is the urban deterioration? The pile of trash at the angle of the roads? The overdosed junkies in the alleys? The crude cybernetic agumentation?
Everything seemed so clean,so polished, so aseptic. The car was cool though

I think the trailer is just trying to sell the "a city of dreams" tag instead of the "worst place to live in America" tag. You actually see an overdosed junkie being helped by Trauma Medics, you can see trash/objects laying around in the corners of some scenes, there is short violence scenes, but most of the trailer seems to try to sell "high life, fun time" in the corporate zone instead of the "sky high level of violence and more people under the poverty line than anywhere else" that is the standard in most of the city.
