E3 demo - Release to Users of this Forum?

Well some of us care.  At least as many just want to torch anything that isn't DA/ME or "traditional" Bioware games (which apparently means a dozen cuddle options).

Demo would be nice but I'd rather be able to beta test to provide more active feedback down the line.

I'm sure we'll be covering how the Demo goes on this forum at some length.

Well I wouldn’t mind being able to play a demo, I’ll admit that. At least it’ll give me a better idea of how the game will be like, no matter what I think in my mind right now, it’s still something else to try it instead of having all these different imaginations.

Why do people ALWAYS go off topic on this forum?  This has nothing to do with what I posted.  There are threads showing SofaJockey has contact with members of Bioware, so your post is asinine.  

Back to the topic; Do you want a demo or not?  If not, why?

I think developers need to be more open with their communities, help shape the game before it launches.  How many times have we seen games release and there is backlash (always will be) that could have been avoided if the developers were to listen to their community and implement.  Then years later after DLC and patches the game starts becoming what the community originally asked for.

The more content, game play, alpha, beta, the better it will be for the production of Anthem.  Much harder to give educated feedback when a person has not had hands on.

So, just because some mod has contacts at BioWare, that means that all of BioWare automatically reads them?

And about the demo, I could give a shit less.   It's a freakin' demo.

On the contrary, most of their fans and forumites from the real bsn moved on to this place, this is actually one of the better places to look and one of the less toxic places. Have you tried looking at one of the other so called none official forums? Their mods allow trashing one another and REAL toxic behavior, there’s no one stopping bad behavior there. Here at least the mods are decent and they let us talk and exchange our viewpoints in a peaceful way before things gets out of hands.

The people who write on forums are a small, niche part of the gamers/consumers. Using them as a basis of feedback doesn't work very well as it's really hard to apply their wants on what the overall community want. Using this forum as feedback for Anthem which is a coop RPG designed to try something new, when this forum's users mainly care about only single player non-online stuff and alot prefer hardcore old school RPG gameplay which the average consumer doesn't like anymore, would be a terrible idea.

But that’s not true. We still have a mp section here, I in fact used to be a huge part of it myself, I played a lot of mp in the old days and I know for a fact that a lot of those mp players from the official bsn are posting in this forum, they aren’t here for the rpg elements of the games. Yeah not all gamers from here represent them but I still wouldn’t dismiss this place, especially not since the official Bioware forum isn’t here anymore. Twitter is one big mess, I’ve tried posting there and I gave up immediately, Facebook, yeah don’t even try, so this place is probably the best place, then there’s maybe Reddit idk.

First of all...   I'm gonna take you through a timeline of this.

1.  You post a thread begging BioWare for a demo.

2.  I post something which says that BioWare isn't even reading this thread.

3.  You post something stating that one of the mods is still in contact with BioWare, implying that BioWare still reads this thread and meanwhile putting me down in the process, stating that I was going offtopic.   

4.  Then I take it the other way, and say that just because some random mod has contact with those people at BioWare, that automatically assumes that they still read read the forums.

5.  You deridingly and extremely hostilely with passive aggressiveness said that never stated that people at BioWare did read this forum.  When you clearly thought that they did, or maybe you should go back and re-read number 1?

It's not an alpha.  It's not a beta.

It's a demo.

This place is the niche of the niche, it's not a good place compared to the other two - the other two would at least have a larger amount of that 5%. I never said they didn't look at forums/social media, I said they aren't the best place for feedback and you would have to take them with a really heavy pinch of salt. I don't see how they are out of touch with their fan bases wishes either, but you seem to take this place as a good basis for what their fanbase thinks, and it really isn't, so perhaps it's not surprising that you think that.

Alright, let's dial it back and calm the fuck down.

While it's true that the "unofficial" part of this BSN is very much front and center and BioWare devs are not currently active here (and even if they were, they're under no requirement to check in with us), there's no reason not to discuss desirable ideas for increased communication and feedback and maybe a nice perk or two for some fans participating. As long as all parties understand that there's absolutely nothing here guaranteeing such will be the case, what's the harm in chatting about it?

For what it's worth, the mod team is always looking into keeping ties with BioWare and encouraging devs to post here. It'd still be nice to interact with them, even if it won't be like the old days. Apart from our separate status, a good point has been raised that forums are not terribly efficient at providing useable feedback. So even if a dev or two start posting here, I'd recommend viewing that as less "oh we'll totally be able to tell them what we want and they'll definitely make it happen" and more "we may get a bonus, limited inside POV at some aspects of the game and its production and be able to react to that in some sense".

If anything, treat this like meeting a favorite artist or creator at a convention: you're able to show appreciation and maybe ask question or two before time's up and they have to go. Only difference is you can't get shit autographed
