What do you think of Iarl Eamon? What are his true motives to want to put Alistair on the throne? Do you believe the accusations of Logain are true , he wants to put a puppet on the throne and be the puppet master ? Or does he really believe in the therin lineage and the capacity of Alistair to become a king? Then do you believe he will have the same reactions with a married Alistair (with Anora or a Cousland) as with Cailan concening the lack of heir? Do you think ,in case of a Cousland, he will take advantage of her leaving the court and the king for searching cure in order make pressure on Alistair to put her aside?
This last part is based on the correspondance you can find in the DLC Return of Ostgar

People rarely act only from one motive. We tend to have very mixed motives. The more political a person is, the more likely they do not act from a single purpose and the more likely they are not to display or discuss all of their impulses. It's safe to say that Arl Eamon was acting from all of that. How much of one and not the other is difficult to say.

I think the prime motivation is to stop Terryn Loghain, unite Ferelden, and end the blight. That said, I doubt he's losing any sleep overthe fact that the next king consort of Ferelden will be a boy he raised, who will likely turn to him for guidance.

I believed Loghain and still do. Eamon was way to eager to put Alistair who did not want the throne on the throne. Regular Alistair is easily influenced and believes he owes Eamon. So no doubt he will listen to Eamon's whispers. But yes, first he has to unite Fereldan and stop the blight.

I have really the impression that it is the case with Eamon: he has a lot of purposes / motivations because through the game you can find stuff for he being politically interested and even sometimes manipulative and stuff for he being noble and unselfish. In the end it is difficult to have an opinion on him.

There are facts in the game which go in your direction but there are also facts which go in the direction of a more noble and unselfish nature.
