What's that pic supposed to mean?
Edit: I'm being serious; can anybody tell me what idea he's trying to convey here?

No i don't think they should return to the Milky Way. They exploded that with the atrocious trainwreck ME3 endings. Canonising now would be re-opening a massive can of worms. Then how would the story continue after the Reapers were defeated? Just screw the MW and moving towards on Andromeda? That is a lazy way of not finishing the story of the MW by going to another galaxy.

Shepard's story is finished. there are other people that living in the Milk Way before, during and after Shepard. it would be weird that Shepard was the entire population of the Milk Way.

I didn't go through the whole thread, but thought I'd throw out my idea anyway.
I have no problem with the next ME game as a sequel to the ME trilogy set in the Milky Way. Synthesis was supposedly inevitable, so the game could take place in that context several hundred years after the Reaper War, with different backstories on the progression to Synthesis that take the player's choice from the end of ME3 into account. Of course, Refuse wouldn't work with this, but the ME2 ending where Shepard dies in the Suicide Mission has a similar problem. The writers just need to tone down the visual effects of Synthesis from the ending to seem less artistic (good luck with that) and mystical.
In fact, I'd really enjoy a ME game where the player is a character in the Milky Way that goes in search of the lost Andromeda expedition using newly developed wormhole technology or something.
Dunno why Bioware/EA keeps trying to tie Mass Effect games to the N7 rank or Spectres. Seems like there are a lot of other character stories they could be using. To me Mass Effect was always about the wonder, exploration, and problem solving.

Sure, they could start a new story in the Milky Way. But the person I was replying to said Bioware left the Milky Way story unfinished, which I was saying wasn't true.

They should create other stories, new characters, and new adventures but they rather be lazy about it by copy/paste ME1 to MEA and call it original. BioWare's just lazy and have no ambition whatsoever.

In my opinion, they should do a complete trilogy remake and bring back Shepard and the crew. That's my dream. But I know they're going to stick with Andromeda or do a remaster of the trilogy. BW will never touch those endings, even though they have gold with Shepard and his crew.
