I say good day onto thee. I'm starting my first ever playthrough of this game today on stream. And I'm looking for input class and race wise, what would be an amusing class to not only play myself, but also enjoyable to watch as a viewer? I don't mind backseating with tips etc as long as I don't get major spoilers. So feel free to stop by and help me out! Starting at 12:00 PM CEST

My first IQ was a dwarf. She had a shady past but tried her best to turn it around, often feeling overwhelmed and being sarcastic or harsh with people. She also greatly respected her advisors. It was a lot of fun. She believed in the Maker in a very private way and ended up romancing a rather large Qunari. It was a laugh at first but soon turned into a very meaningful relationship.
It's an origin most don't do, has very funny moments, and is a great 'outsider who thinks everyone is batshit crazy' race.
Also you may want to make your character in the cc beforehand. It can take ages.

Have you play any of the other games in the series? That might help you choose what race/class you would enjoy playing. I think any of the possible combos have the potential to be amusing, all depends on what personality you give the character / choices you have them make. My canon Inquisitor (and currently the only one I've fully played through with) was a Dalish mage. It was interesting for her to be seen as the Herald of a god she doesn't believe in, and to become one of the most important/powerful people in Thedas, in a world that would have otherwise subjugated & despised her for being an elf and a mage. She had a more "diplomatic/paragon" type personality - which most may not be as entertaining as a sarcastic one, but she nicely rounded out my canon worldstate with my angry ball of fluff Warden and my sarcastic little shit Hawke. I haven't really played with the other races/classes yet, so I can't speak as to the moments they have. But I can say I love walking into the Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts quest as a Dalish or Qunari mage and walking back out of it with full court approval - it's satisfying to me to beat those Orlesian nobles at their own Game. And I agree with ArcadiaGray, you may want to make you character in the CC first - it has the potential to take a while. ETA: and I saw that I posted after you would have already started... so never mind
