I will post a tasteful rump shot, when my wife says it's ok and snaps it I'm gonna go full Shep for this, so, fear not, it will happen. Rated PG.

Everything after Terminator 2 sucked and considering this upcoming Terminator will be a direct sequel to T2, pretending the other Terminators didn't exist ... I can't help but be a little excited.

Sara Connor is so totally an inspiration for Feminism.... I mean, how she waits around for a robot/or a man sent from the future to save her from certain doom is totally feminist, indeed.

Makes it pretty obvious that you haven't seen either the movies or the TV show. Your comment wouldn't even make sense with the first film, since how exactly is someone in a time paradox supposed to know that a robot is chasing them before the robot even shows up? Besides, I didn't say that Sara Connor was a feminist or represented feminism (nor did anyone else.) I said that James Cameron saw himself as a feminist, and deliberately wrote women in his films to have agency. You are free to disagree, of course, but I doubt he'd care at this point.

Well, to be fair though, she was saved and protected by that robot in Genesis so my prerogative wasn't entirely incorrect as far as one went. And she was saved by a guy from the future (whom she produced her son with). So my comment wasn't entirely wrong though, that she was indeed saved by a robot and a guy from the future.

I was not expecting you to double down after I linked the scene of Sara Connor's escape. I'm now in the (potential) trap of arguing something that I don't actually care about. So I'll go for my fastest exit, which is to point out that the operative phrase you used was: how she waits around for a robot/or a man sent from the future to save her from certain doom This is clearly contradicted by the scene I linked. She doesn't wait around to be rescued, which is not to say that she is not occasionally rescued. Those occasions are mathematically dwarfed by the number of times she rescues John, John's girlfriend, several terminators, and humanity in general.

I saw this movie is just ignoring all the Terminator films after Judgement Day. Yes, James Cameron is getting the Terminator franchise back and wants to do it justice now that daddy's home. Pity he's busy on the new Avatar movies, so he's hired someone else to direct. Someone that seems capable enough (Deadpool 1 director) and recall reading James Cameron was heavily involved with the scrip writers. Did someone say James Cameron...

That looks pretty bad. Except for Linda Hamilton. Can we just drop everything but her, and have her I don't know, hunt down the last of Cyberdine's backups or something? Maybe get Arnold as Dietrich Rossbach (the human template for the T-800 in the T2 novels) helping her?
A picture of the new film isn't supposed to make me root for Skynet.
