Yeah, I make jokes about drugs, and I do use some milder ones quite a bit.
Cocaine is poison. It destroys lives, and very few people can really "control" their usage.
I much prefer psychedelics. The pain pills, the powders: not for me.

Only thing that looked marginally interesting in that trailer was the new 'bad guy' terminator, specifically how it's capable of splitting into two separate entities capable of independent actions. Basically a liquid metal terminator acting as the 'skin' of a regular terminator. But even that wasn't really enough to wow me or anything.
Aside from that this film looks very 'meh'.
Really at this point the whole franchise is running on fumes while trying to maintain the tired old trope of "evil killer robots!". It would be interesting to see more motivations for Skynet and AI in general that goes beyond trying to use time travel to kill all humans. Seriously, if Skynet is so concerned with it's continued survival in the future then why bother staying on Earth? Just go establish a base on the Moon, or Mars, or hell, just leave the entire solar system altogether. There's way more resources out there, and what's even better is those pesky humans can't really follow you seeing as how they will need food, oxygen, and sophisticated transports to even try.

Plus you'd think after the first one failed, they'd do the logical thing and try something else like send an entire squad of Terminators to do it. At least this movie kind of does that with the bad Terminator being able to become two different ones.

I consider the original to be the best and it doesn't look like it's going to be removed from it's spot anytime soon after seeing that trailer. Also Skynet would have simply used nanobots or engineered plagues to kill all humans. Terminator has never made much sense, but it has been entertaining...for two movies. Plus you'd think after the first one failed, they'd do the logical thing and try something else like send an entire squad of Terminators to do it. At least this movie kind of does that with the bad Terminator being able to become two different ones. The whole sending of a terminator back in time in T1 was supposed to have been skynet's last dying "breath" right before the humans' final truimph (it was stretched out a bit with the T1000 in T2). So, skynet continuing to send terminators back through time messes with the lore. Also Skynet would have simply used nanobots or engineered plagues to kill all humans. Terminator has never made much sense, but it has been entertaining...for two movies. Something like VX nerve gas would be pretty useful for skynet too. Not only is it highly lethal, but it's a great area denial weapon, and you wouldn't have to worry about your troops needing to be hampered with chemical suits.

At least this movie kind of does that with the bad Terminator being able to become two different ones. "What if Skynet sent a T-1000 back to 1984 after the T-800 failed?"
That was an amazing premise that Genisys had practically gift-wrapped for it... how did they screw it up?

While everyone is shocked that this franchise is still chugging along like the little choo choo train that could, i'm suprised at Reyes being such a womanlet. Devito's probably taller.

Also pig flu, in labs they managed to combine it with an H2o molecule allowing it to become airborne. It would kill people by the millions and also their livestock. Hit mankind and their livestock with several engineered plagues and throw an EMP at them to destroy their electric infrastructure and you've won.

James Cameron Wouldn’t Have Done Terminator: Dark Fate Without SchwarzeneggerSince the debut of its first trailer last week, Terminator: Dark Fate has vowed to get the franchise back on track. Genisys didn’t exactly do fans – or the box office – any favors four years ago. But with Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and James Cameron on board, it could win them back over. However, Cameron wasn’t always sold on returning to the franchise that made him famous. According to an interview from Flicks and the City (since removed, but preserved by CinemaBlend), Cameron had a request. He wouldn’t do the film without Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I said ‘Look I’d love to be involved in this, but I can’t be involved in a Terminator movie without working with my good friend of 35 years, Arnold Schwarzenegger, even if it’s to officially pass the baton to a new generation of characters,” explained Cameron. “So that’s what we all agreed to do. Then the question became what about Linda [Hamilton], does Linda want to come back?” Read more at www.superherohype.com/movies/451085-james-cameron-wouldnt-have-done-terminator-dark-fate-without-schwarzenegger#LTXTCBISfZpxvrEy.99

While the idea of having both Arnie and Linda Hamilton in the movie does sound pretty cool on paper, in reality, at least for me, it conjures up imagery that's very similar to this:

I miss the grounded dark atmosphere of the original. The sequels just try to get more and more outlandish as they go on.
T1 Arnie is more menacing and effective as just a robot skeleton with an organic disguise.
