Based on what was seen on early streams of the game... the Dead Factory and clock tower areas don't exist along with their Nemesis encounters, the railgun segment still exists but in another form, while the Gravedigger is gone and the spiders enemies are MIA once again. At this point It's obvious that the devs are incapable of rendering the missing creatures due to incompetence, and not out of the the sketchy belief in the "muh realism" meme. Also Jill's STARS uniform looks off when compared to REmake's but i didn't get to see the other costume unlocks.

I haven't played the demo...(i'm gonna save myself for the full game)....but yeah, i too sensed that they toned down, Carlo's Gimmick.....i'd also would have liked a more softer theme jill,....meh these independent, i don't need help badass personas are overkill...In the demo...I think Carlos stated "here take this so we can stay in touch"...Jill responds with "I KNOW what a radio is".....why so defensive?...just because a guy gives you something to assist and help you with something you need to be a d**k to the guy? Jill before she was written this way might have said something like "thanks "or "will do"....but geez in this day and age any assistance from a guy in these games is frowned upon or somehow in somebody's mind is made to think that in doing so is making the female character look weak....stop the madness.... ....in the older games even tho Jill didn't like the guy like that, you got the feeling that deep inside Jill was crushing on the dude a little bit and in a good way,.....in the old game i believe she said "keep dreaming", but was never really a jerk to him in the game..... Miranda was a badass in ME3, but she was written in a way that grounded her and made her organic with her backstory...now of course i'm not expecting Capcom to do anything like that with this game, just that Jill just needs to display some of that softer tone that she is known for.....maybe the full game will display some of that but i don't think so.....i know it may seem like i'm in a bit of a cranky mood, and i still plan on getting the game,...i'm just a bit tired of seeing this type of tired persona when it comes to female characters.... Normally i would attribute Jill's hostility towards Umbrella employees to the company's involvement in the Mansion incident, and built up stress from the outbreak, but the demo's brief glimpse at Nu-Jill's persona flies in face of the character's original incarnation who despite her initial distrust of the U.B.C.S. she remained empathetic to their situation, was cool headed, didn't make light of their failure or take snipes at Carlos or Mikhail after every sentence. The 'I know what a radio is!" retort was cringe while the "Fuck you!" was very tryhard. In RE2make Claire's and Leon's personas were similar to their original incarnations unlike R3make's Jill but since this is only a demo that gave us a brief glimpse at the character i hope that's all there is to the edginess. Now about the weapons, the M3 shotgun is trash. You can fire at a zombie who's only a few meters away from you with the pellets doing no damage, and the radius of the spread is so comically large that it looks like you were trying to recreate da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man". Also even though it's understandable that your knife can't be used as a defensive weapon, but the grenades should still be classified as one. Yup...you completely understand where i'm coming from in terms of Jill's character.... .....i hope the weapons are fun to use,... that shotgun should have done way more damage in that clip. I'am happy that the knife isn't breakable anymore tho...i'm not a fan of breakable weapons

I'am happy that the knife isn't breakable anymore tho...i'm not a fan of breakable weapons I'll miss RE2's breakable knives because they were comically op but with the return of the classic knife there's the opportunity for knife only runs. Also with Jill's unique stabbing attack style you can interrupt a zombie's grab attack. I managed to counter stab only a hand once and it still interrupted the zombie's attack animation.

I haven't gotten the game yet, but anybody have any thought's/reviews about it?....I heard that they cut the park and clocktower locales and most of what you see in Racoon City is what was mostly covered in the demo. I did read that the writing between Jill and Carlos was much more organic and natural than what we saw in Leon and Claire. Still i read that its a bit short, but its still a great journey.
Just my thoughts,..i think that they probably could have released this in Oct. near Halloween....that might have gave them a wee bit more time to add maybe the clocktower or park levels....i hear the game is still good, but feels slightly rushed....

Just my thoughts,..i think that they probably could have released this in Oct. near Halloween....that might have gave them a wee bit more time to add maybe the clocktower or park levels....i hear the game is still good, but feels slightly rushed.... Me personally Capcom allowed this game to be released in this state to profit off of the current console gen market because the potential next gen console sales figures would pale in comparison to the current gen's. Save your money for when it's on sale because it wasn't worth 60 usd at launch. To answer your questions about the game's weaknesses, the area featured in the demo where you encounter Nemesis is the only place where he freely stalks you. Afterwards Nemesis only appears for scripted chase sequences before a boss fight. For the cuts there's no Freeze Rounds for the Grenade Launcher, the Mine Thrower was cut but it's ammunition was given to the Grenade Launcher, the Smith & Wesson revolver was lazily replaced with RE2make's Desert Eagle mesh, Nemesis only drops gun mods for the starter Glock while the STI Eagle parts that Nemesis originally dropped are replaced with a triple burst fire Glock you find later in the game, and the Western Custom M37 was completely axed with no replacement. The game's ammo crafting system is a copypaste of RE2make's which is inferior to OG 3's due to the exclusion of the ability to combine multiple powders into one bottle to save inventory space, or create more powerful ammunition variants while the Reloading Tool is a NG+ unlockable but it's reduced to only allowing the player to craft double the amount of ammunition from gunpowder combos when held. Then there's the lack of puzzles. The spiders and crows are cut once again, but there are two returning enemy types from Re2make whose inclusion is just logical. Gravedigger and the slideworms are cut with no replacements. Drain Deimos, Hunter Betas and Hunter Gammas still exist but in new revamped forms. For the remake Carlos not Jill visits the RPD, the Stagla Gas Station and garage are split into separate locations while the former is only encountered through cutscene only. The small underground tunnel where you first encountered the Gravedigger was greatly expanded into a full on sewers level. The Clocktower map was axed but it's building serves as the backdrop for your 2nd Nemesis boss fight. The Hospital was greatly expanded upon but the park was completely cut and the Dead Factory and it's lore was swapped with an expanded lab area that was modeled, and named after RE2make's laboratory. Yes they axed the Dead Factory for another high tech lab named Nest 2 while the story surrounding the US spec ops' battle with Umbrella's tyrants that was sent to protect the facility was cut. OG RE3 Nemesis' signature "Live Selection" feature that gave the player the option to respond to crises with multiple choice options with differing outcomes and story alterations for each playthrough was cut along with the OG's Barry ending that was tied to the feature. Also once you complete a campaign you unlock a shop where you use points that are received from completing objectives in the records section to purchase items. Items like Jill's S.T.A.R.S. outfit, Kendo Beretta, Reloading Tool, 2 hip pouches, unlimited weapons or coins that offers special effects when held like weapon damage, defense and auto recovery. Two coins for each effect type can be purchased and stacked. Plus the game's soundtrack is superior to Re2make's but only when you exclude RE2make's option to use RE2's classic ost. Despite all the cons Jill's and Carlos' relationship is more organic in this one, Mikhail has more speaking parts and depth, Murphey's still the same unfortunately, Nicholai has the same motivation but his character was too on the nose when compared to his OG incarnation who's more subtle, but Tyrell's character and role was greatly expanded upon while Carlos' character imo was the mvp for the game. TL;DR it's a decent but rushed game that falls short in surpassing it's original incarnation, and you should wait for a sale before purchasing it.

I was expecting more of the City and more Nemesis encounters.
