Dark souls...Not everyone is cut out for that brutality, I'm too soft. I also need more focus on a good story to keep me entertained. My biggest beef with that game is not the difficulty, it's the slow, deliberate combat. I'm used to the fast paced move-sets of fighting games, and in TP games, Witcher and Arkham were more to my liking because of the dynamic movement in group combat. DS isn't much harder, it just punishes you much more and has no quick saving. Nioh for instance, now that game tests twitch skills way more than DS. Dark Souls 2 was redeemable. At least you could clear areas. DS3... It took me 17 hours to defeat the first boss, eternal-spawning non-boss enemies everywhere. And... those goddamn Abyss Watchers and Yhorm the Giant made me quit the game for good.

Kingdom of Amalur. Twice. I really wanted to like that game but Planescape: Torment it's not. It has kind of a rough opening, but I grew to really like Kingdoms of Amalur a whole hell of a lot. It’s Irish folklore, but in a high fantasy wrapping. @ Topic: The Witcher 2. It just has a bland opening and I can’t bring myself to get any farther than the Kayran boss. I know it’s good and I WANT to go through it all, but I feel like I need to force myself to do it. KOTOR 2. Again, horrible opening. The entire segment on the space station actually puts me to sleep, so little goes on. This one is less “gave up on” because I do still play it fairly regularly, but I feel compelled to list Dragon Ball FighterZ here too. I love the game to bits, but it’s my first 3v3 sort of team fighting game, and transitioning from traditional 1v1 games like Injustice and Mortal Kombat is just impossible for me. I keep playing it like a 1v1 game, always forgetting to take advantage of assists and tagging out my team. I guess it’s more that I’ve given up on trying to play that game competitively.

- ET (Atari 64) - I played as long as I could tolerate it. - Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Genesis) - Walked away during the underwater areas. - Dungeon Master (PC) - Got to the doorway for the final boss and stopped. - MediEvil II (Playstation) - Stopped around the train bit.

Peragus was probably the most painful opening to a game I can think of. TW2 gets better after the Kayran. I had to push through it myself, but I'd say it was worth it. Good thing that you can skip Peragus... www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/skip-peragus

Lol. Almost done with TW3.
It is an overrated game, but not by a ton. Overall very solid, but for a ME3MP player the KBM controls are a lot to deal with. I sorta got gud.
Really, the whole thing seems like a paeon to BioWare; like a proud child wanting to show something they'd made to their father. Not bad though, not bad.
Good enough that I haven't touched ME3MP in almost a month, which has happened never.

A few of mine: The Witcher - I was told the game had terrible combat. But I dont mind it. What made me give up on the game wasnt the story, or the combat, or the graphics... it was Geralt. I like interesting characters, and he just... wasn't. There arent many characters I know of that are as bland, boring and lifeless. He just sounded bored all of the time, and I just didnt want to play him any more. Metal Gear Solid V - Boring protagonist again, terrible gameplay, bad mechanics, the prologue made me feel uncomfortable. There was nothing I really enjoyed, but it was free on PlayStation Plus a while back so *shrug* Almost every RTS game except for Star Wars Empire At War - Terrible tutorials and even worse UIs and menus. EAW is the only RTS game Ive played that I enjoy. Civilization III, Sins of a Solar Empire, Company of Heroes, I think there was Crusader Kings or something. I got them all for free on humble bundle but I gave up playing them verryyyy quickly I check now that the free games arent RTS games before I select one Horizon Zero Dawn - I really wanted to like it, and I kinda did. But moving around the map was a little hard and meh. The combat was good but somehow I could never get Aloy to do what I wanted. Aloy herself was, I guess, a little interesting but I never found her really compelling. And I guess there were things to do, but there just wasnt enough for me to enjoy the game that much. When I wanted to play another game, I uninstalled it.

Dragon Age Inquisition
I've fell asleep more time trying to play this game than all other games combined. I'll periodically load this game back on my computer but the outcome is always the same.
The Surge
Kept hearing how this game played like Dark Souls so I finally gave it a try...no, not even close.
Elex
With more refinement this game could have been really good but the combat is just too hard to look past

Vagrant Story, only because the gameplay was too tough. It's a shame, because it actually seemed quite interesting.

Too many to count...
There are a lot of games in this graveyard. Final fantasy x, witcher 3, dark souls, dishonored 2, never winter nights, thief...the list is pretty large.

I was idly looking through the EA Access vault and noticed a rally driving game (WRC World Rally Championship). Oh dear, I suck at this, are you really supposed to crash the tutorial? <5 minutes and I'm done with this...

Oh dear, I suck at this, are you really supposed to crash the tutorial? I learned a long time ago - don't play racing games unless you have a wheel accessory for it. KB/M just don't cut it on those tight turns!

Grey Goo... As a long time RTS fan that could even finish games like Earth 2160 and SupCom 2, this was bland, lifeless and hugely disappointing from the veterans from my favorite RTS developers ever, Westwood.

Dark Souls. I tried it bc my brother puts the series on a pedestal. I tried it and... I didn't like it. I must say that I really liked the dark atmosphere but the game was... Just not for me. My brother says it's bc I don't want (or can) learn to adapt to videogames . Either way, I tried it and gave up on it.

Tharsis was probably the quickest game to put down. I had to decide before steam refund phase would end and it quickly showed to be a rng fest which I wasnt looking for.

Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin. The game just felt way too stiff for me and the game also seemed fond of having strong enemies gank you. (Glares at Iron Keep)
