So I finished the latest LToG... There are youtubers out there who analyze a scene by putting a scale. One did the tension in the car between Peter Parker and Vulture in Homecoming...for instance. Well being aware of the latest controversy my playthrough was basically that. A heart dialogue choice would appear and I would get a spike. Anais would be all moo moo, I'd get a spike. Despite that it was good. It was a really unique quest line with some interesting choices and who knew you'd have so much fun ordering chicken. As a bonus they were actually doing a good job towing the line. Sure you could interpret it that they were lovers...but they could've just been really good friends. Then that last conversation happened. argh! They were so close it's agonizing. They just fumbled it at the one yard line!
So Anais at the end told Kass that she could not be her partner... which if I were really generous might just mean business partner...but it's pretty clear they meant romantic.
And what's worse is Kass looked sad!
So this is wrong because my Kass: 1. Just went through a bad breakup. 2. Just got lectured at by Alethia how long term connections are a bad idea. 3. Showed zero romantic interest in Anais. 4. Didn't romance a single person really only occasionally flirting with Thelatas, Adonis, and maybe Nakatas.
I wanted an option where I could scream at her for her presumption. Kass is not interested lady. My Kass really wouldn't have been.
At least the quest name Unplanned Parenthood gave me a good laugh. You’d think after the huge controversy where they assured everyone they would learn from that that they’d change it if it was already made or not do it at all if it wasn’t. But no, stuff like this just shows how their promises are worth absolutely nothing since they don’t care at all about their fans. The ending with the other route is the same if not more with her saying things like you being the person she loved back then and hoping you felt the way you did in the past. There is no debate: they are meant to be former lovers. The title Old Flame (as well as the armor description) shows that.

As I pointed out it really does depend on how these companies view these live service elements in terms of front loading or back loading a story. And since I am not in the industry I cannot fully give a...satisfactory...answer to the question. But if these decsions...maybe even if the actual quests themselves...were made months ago we really won't know if they have 'learned anything' until the next AC game. That being said I highly doubt I am going to pre order it at this point.

Besides the fact that I bet this mission wasn’t even created when that happened, even if it was they had more than enough time to change it just enough to leave it up to the player. The fact they didn’t as I said speaks volumes.

The fact they didn’t as I said speaks volumes. But you don't know. The fact that these LS games tend to have roadmaps at all tends to speak to they have some pretty good idea what they want to do and the direction they want to take these stories, both in the main game and beyond. I would certainly hope that this means they can pivot and change their mind mid stream if their customer base raises a legitimate complaint but there is enough evidence to suggest that this may not be the case either. Hopefully its something that ALL these companies will look at and if anything it might be one way EA (and BioWare) might be ahead of Ubisoft since their games do tend to actually go through improvements and become better over their life time as an LS product. We'll just have to see (Or not ) what happens for the next game and what happens in the industry as the LS model improves...or is potentially abandoned.

At least the quest name Unplanned Parenthood gave me a good laugh. I had the same reaction with Kyra. I wasn't romancing her (zero, zip, naddar, I'm all business, you asked for Kass's help, not Kass asking for you Kyra) so I never understood the odd expression on Kass's face after the dialogue in the hunt-for-meat-quest in which Kass specifically indicated they're friends. The ToLoG summary is enough to tell me to give this latest quest a miss. I don't really hold out hope the writers would improve on the romance aspect in the next game when they keep walking the lackadaisical road.

Well on the bright side its hard to do much worse at this point. Meh I will stand by what I said this whole time...I don't really care about romance in these games specifically. There are good ones and bad ones some games do it well, some don't. Odyssey is perhaps the worse. But then I have played far better RPGs then Odyssey and far worse RPGs then Odyssey, its fairly solidly right in the middle in terms of roleplaying. Though it is very annoying trying to play a Kass who just ain't interested who has people constantly throwing themselves at her. As for the next game. I expect they'll do better. I don't know how much better or worse but I look forward to giving it a try.

Mother. Of. God. I take back every bad thing I've said about the Forge. Sure the weapons are meh... but the perks. My goodness the perks. Last night before continuing on I got more adamant so I popped over to the forge and got a hunter configured weapon. Which let's you apply your damage in a range...hunter, warrior, Assassin. I put the hunter perk on my bow even though it cost me 5 crit chance. That and the above video reallllyy makes me want to do a third Playthrough. Like now. Maybe even give hard a try afterall. I'm not going to do it...but its now more then likely I will get a third PT in before the next AC game comes out. I wanna try this shit out. Anyways I did end up finishing Atlantis last night afterall. Its funny how long this DLC seems to take me...but I actually enjoyed the run through it a lot more this time. A lot of things Inoticed that I appreciated more and just seemed...a lot smoother. Nothing really to comment on just that I think for the first time in the PT I had to auto craft the normal arrows. And Kass was just done with everything for the Isu...yet she still had to go and fight through it anyway. So all I have to do now is the last LtOG...well probably going to play the other one when it comes out. I've seen this and frankly thought it's cheesy. It's Bam Bam on the loose.

Starting on the Atlantis DLC and the beginning is very riling; All hail Layla! Heir to greatness. Insipid dialogue as usual. Fire the writers! Anyway, I've to confess I enjoy watching the evil Daimos Alexios beating the s*** out of the artist. I'd really like to see the conditions he grew up in, what coal stokes his thinking, his behaviour cause he's a nutter to hades and back in that little scene; did they have to interpose Layla in that? What is that supposed to stir in the players? I only felt annoyance; get out of here Layla. I doubt Kass and the family had much peace with Alexios in the days after the reunion. Kass not using the symbols to enter makes zero sense. She has to enter Elysium in order to empower the staff but Ariadne made her spill blood?

There's a 3.8 GB update today. Is this the last LToG? Thought it's next month? No notes on update though.
Oh btw, first ep of the Atlantis DLC is free until 1st Sep.

Looks like Ubi ninja-released the last LToG: Socrates's Trial. The Socrates quests are always fun, but this one felt... a bit half-hearted, and all too brief. I was hoping we'd get a proper send-off quest, but it doesn't look like we'll get it. So, the final tally... 364 hours. One PT. Easily the longest single PT of any SP game I've played. Still, I'm looking forward to the Discovery Tour and then... AC: Vikings!

I hope so much they will build upon and improve Odyssey's mechanics instead of going back to the old formula. I want my dialogue choices, different combat builds, tons of side quests, mythical/Isu encounters and a customizable protagonist (I can live without that last one though). Gee, no wonder we are on a Bioware forum. The open world is not on my list I am fine with smaller areas and different maps. The gearing can definitely be better optimized and I won't mind some interesting skill synergies from the different skill trees.

Hey playing ACOD today and doing a bit of combat to refresh my memory before doing the last LToG, did something change with assassinations? I was in a camp and assassinated a sleeping guard and the game automatically killed the guy next to him as well and it was accompanied by a bright blue flash. I vaguely remember something doing damage to other nearby NPC's but can't remember what causes it. Is it an engraving?

Which....I just realised didn't answer your question I think it's one of the Forge Weapons, but don't quote me on that. So just went through my gear and its an engraving I put on my bow, don't even remember doing it. Assassin damage affects nearby NPC's. Hero Strike and Rush Assassinate affects everyone...

Yep and just plain old "F" assassinations as well if the NPC's are close by!!!!! Just took down a mercenary for a bounty, "Testikles The Nut" without hitting him just RA'd his pet and the engraving killed him!!!!!!

So actually had a fun time playing some ACOD yesterday, intended to just do the last Lost Tale of Greece decided to do some message board missions and killed a Mercenary, "Testikles The nut", did one about clearing forts that auto completed, bribed a politician and killed some Sons of Ares. Visited Sargon and bought a Legendary sail I didn't have and he got lucky with the lucky dip and got Odysseus hood. Man its a pretty game, after a break it was just enjoyable roaming around and clearing some places I hadn't cleared and enjoying the view. As mentioned above the AoE engraving for Assassin Abilities is pretty awesome, makes very short work of a lot of combat situations. Is kind of weird killing a guy and just watching all his pals keel over and die. Pic's Poor old Testikles the Nut, wasn't much of a fight Rush Assassinated his pet and he died from the Ao engraving!!! New gear Aesthetic Scenery

Hey saandrig saw this armour and helmet in one of your Pics, what is it and how do you get it? It's the Achilles armor set (male counterpart to the Wonder woman set, aka Amazon set) with a random Isu helmet I put on for the quest where I needed to hide my face.
Heh, I forgot about this love stroll. Persephone is one tall date But I swear I found a female Mercenary that was even taller (and not bulky too). Alexios was quite intimidated.

So you get the Achilles set for playing as Alexios and doing Diana's legendary beasts quests do you? Found the helmet in my inventory its the Myrmidon Supervisors helmet or some such thing. I preferred hekate to Perspehone myself but she turned out to be a using double crossing B$tch!!!!
