What i always wondered in Odyssey is what is the deal with that man who is standing in front of a man who kneels and that standing man hits and kicks him. You'll have seen the two i bet in cities around Greece. Whenever i visit those cities i kill that standing man every time ( judge jury and executioner ). You simply do not hit or kick someone who kneels in front of you ... for me it's as simple as that. I am also Kass's side with this Malaka, he gets sent straight to hell too.

The one thing I won't tolerate in Odyssey are dogs peeing on me when I am in stealth in a bush or even shopping at a blacksmith, that happened to me several times and sorry bad doggy you can go audition for the Cerberus role!!!! I do feel sorry for all those guards I assassinated while they were going to the toilet. Yes maybe you're right still not ok in my book. Several times really i have played Odyssey 5 times now but that has never happened to me. I more or less feel sorry for those Spartan soldiers who fight Athenian soldiers and always lose the battle there are two of each you've most probably seen them fight. And another thing that wonders me is what is the deal with all those elephant tusks in many many camps forts etc. In all my PT's i've never seen an elephant in Greece i know Africa is not that far away but still.

Hahahaha yeah me to and uh you have no idea who my Kassandra sent straight to hell i do not have those high numbers for nothing. One last thing though watching that attack in the video there are still a few attacks from her that still even after 5 PT's puts a smile on my face every time i see them.

I played Odyssey yesterday. I like it so much better than Valhalla Anyone else still playing it? I have an off topic question in the spoiler tag Has anyone played Hellblade and can tell me anything about it? I just bought it and I think I'm gonna give it a try. I quit playing the game about half way through. I really didn't engage with the story and I found some of the puzzles very annoying. Hopefully you will enjoy it.

I'm doing my current playthrough for the sole purpose of collecting all the unique weapons and armor, and epic versions of all variations of the standard armor. I buggered the first one by accidentally selling Hyrkanos the Cunning's Dagger, and I never kept Thaletas helmet (I never realized you got a wearable version if you lied and kept it.) On the second part I was going great, only needing two more pieces, but for the last two days I've just been trying to find epic versions of the last two pieces of head gear. The blue Travelers Shroud, and the last version of the Illyrian Helmet. i.imgur.com/GPZ6MXH.jpg i.imgur.com/IZw60Pu.jpgI haven't even spotted a rare version of either. It's a bummer you haven't got enough storage space on the Adrestia, it's very easy to sell something by mistake when it's in your inventory. I hope I don't require the Atlantis artifacts to complete the game. Please tell me I can skip those quests! No you don't need to find your real father to finish the game. You only have to deal with all the cult members.

On another note, I am enjoying Odyssey and figured I would play Valhalla and Origins at some point. It what ways do you find Odyssey better? Odyssey has more free flowing combat with more abilities to choose from and hence more different builds that vary the combat. The more diverse gear with more different stats also helps.
Also Odyssey just feels prettier than the other two. Probably the color scheme and lighting choice. I prefer Kass to the other protagonists. Odyssey has more entertaining side quest lines and overall doesn't take itself as seriously in the story department with some exceptions that are obviously there for the "Greek tragedy" rule.

The Minotaur shouldn't be too hard unless you are too low a level, the key is dodging/getting out of the way of his attacks. What abilities are you using? Heroic Strike is a good one for doing lots of damage, Ring of Chaos is another good one to use on him. Have you fully upgraded the spear so you have upgraded your abilities to their higher levels? The Mythical Creatures are all optional or can be left till you have maxed Kassandra/Alexios out level wise as well which will make them easier.

Thanks. Origins looks pretty similar to Odyssey based on some videos I watched. Is Valhalla mostly about gathering people to fight over land? I have to watch more ganeplay, but it did not look very interesting. Some of the side quests in Odyssey are super enjoyable, interesting, and even moving. The main story is interesting as well

I have to watch more ganeplay, but it did not look very interesting. Some of the side quests in Odyssey are super enjoyable, interesting, and even moving. The main story is interesting as well Origins is similar, but you will feel immediately the lack of dialogue choices and hence different quest feel. Also generally less skill use in combat, you will either abuse the bow or just poison your way through. Stealth is also quite a different feel. As for the story - it's a revenge journey that starts good, but for me it lost steam midway through and got a bit convoluted. The game attention to detail is amazing, the cities are understandably bigger and prettier than Odyssey (and Valhalla), the wild life feels a bit more varied and present (when at oasis areas), plus of course - pyramids. But know there is a lot of sand on the map. I just don't like sand
Valhalla, hmmm. Yes, it's mostly gathering allies and doing the ally story line of each area on the map. There is also an Isu side story going that you can completely skip and honestly doesn't bring that much on the table. I expected more from the game, but it's more similar to Origins than Odyssey. Less fun abilities to use, less adrenaline points. The clouded skill trees are a bad idea honestly, but at least you can easily swap points around. The little puzzles that you can do feel fresh at the start of the game, but they repeat ad nauseam throughout the map and get annoying from midgame onward. You better enjoy trying to find the hidden entrance to a chest, bureau, etc. There is less gear than in Odyssey and stats seem to have less of an impact, so you may just wear whatever you like or transmog it and forget about it. Upgrading gear is a bit more of a chore than Odyssey. The smaller side quests often don't give you enough information what you are required to do, but in general it's near the area where you get the quest.

I try to be as overpowered as possible. I have upgraded my abilities but need to check if I have those abilities equipped. At what level is Kassandra/Alexis maxed out? Level 50 IIRC, if you want to finish the game and then play an NG+ PT and do the Minotaur, Medusa in that PT. Focusing on using armour that gives you melee, ranged and elemental resistances and higher armour stats will help. Once you have maxed out leveling your spear (L5 IIRC) your abilities become much more powerful. Ring of Chaos gives you great crowd control and knocks a lot of lower level enemies to the ground but it is useful against enemies like the Minotaur because it does damage from a distance. Heroic Strike does a lot of one hit damage and it is worth using engravings/weapons/armour that give it a boost so you can deal even more damage, so when the Minotaur charges you get out of his way and then i think he gets stuck for a bit after running into a pillar then hit him with Heroic Strike and if you are playing on a low level you'll do some serious damage to him. Make sure you invest in one of the elemental abilities like Fire or Poison as well, that if fully leveled up will do even more damage and where you can invest in Critical Chance. People like Element Zero can give you better advice than me. Good luck.

I agree with saandrig duckley, I found the combat harder too in Origins as you need to use a shield and the KB&M controls were more difficult for me. I also found some issues with Line of Sight in Origins and the forts etc. were very repetitive, they are in Odyssey as well but the combat is far more fun and sort of diminished the repetitiveness for me. Especially using Rush Assassination and being able to chain kills also made them much faster to complete, that is another great ability to use if you like doing stealth. With an engraving you can chain kill 5 enemies if they are all in LoS. I also liked Bayek the protag in Origins but I absolutely loved Kassandra in Odyssey. Eivor male and female I liked in Valhalla but they just didn't have the personality that Kassandra has and Alexios was for me a bit MEH.

I try to be as overpowered as possible. I have upgraded my abilities but need to check if I have those abilities equipped. At what level is Kassandra/Alexis maxed out? The level cap is 99, and I think I recall enemy-scaling as the default, meaning you can't simply out-level the big guy. Heroic Strike is the only Assassin combat ability. If your Assassination damage is solid, this ability does great damage. I like to use Overpower Attack on tough foes. I unload it when I see and opening. Also, don't forget the Heal ability. There are higher-level abilities that let you go invincible for a short time. There are abilities that add fire or poison damage, which you can then improve further with your weapon and gear selections. It's hard to advise specifically without knowing specifics. 😉 I'd give the general advice that making sure your gear pieces are complimentary helps a lot. If all of them are rowing in the same direction, so to speak, you'll see better results. Stack a bunch of +Warrior Damage or whatnot, rather than a bit of this and a bit of that. You can look at your current stats from the gear menu. It's maybe easier to tune things when you have the full picture. It's possible to achieve really silly power levels once you've learned how to game those stats.

I have an off topic question in the spoiler tag Has anyone played Hellblade and can tell me anything about it? I just bought it and I think I'm gonna give it a try. I played for an hour and unistalled it. I just couldn't get into it.

I like the setting better. The story is slightly better but still not what I really want. The quests are more fun and I can play more like an assassin than I can in Valhalla. It's an okay game, I don't hate it. But it is my least favorite of all the games. Though it is beautiful.

Today I did one of my favorite quests, twice! I wanted to see if the quest reward changes if you take a different option (they often do) And yes, if you don't sleep with the blacksmith in Family Values, you don't get the unique epic blindfold in the follow up quest "Confiscated", nor do you find out Supideo was adopted. It's a funny quest, for not only is supideo, Oedipus backwards, but the Oedipus prophesy is backwards also. The Oracle told King Oedipus (who was also adopted) he would kill his father and sleep with his mother (well marry her actually) but of course Kassandra sleeps with Supedeo's father and murders his mother.

It would have been better if they also reversed the order of the quests. (ie kill the mother first) Then Kassandra could have worn the blindfold while having sex with the blacksmith. Now she will never get the image of his silly grinning face out of her head. I did try and knock his mother out to get the shield, which you can do, but just getting the shield doesn't update the quest. The quest is actually to kill the bandit leader.

I prefer the route where they don’t sleep with the Blacksmith. The guy never finds out he’s adopted, and as the family walks off the EB is like “They’re a weird or nice family”

He's so creepy! All I see is an unwashed creeper. 😆 He seems like the kind of guy that is always crossing that line; the type I'd be forwarding to Human Resources for creeping on the job. Yep. I got a lot (all of it unwanted 🤣) from that brief NPC encounter.

Just did the "Hourse, of Course" quest in Lokris (supideo's home). Both times I did this quest I would return the horse to the owner and let gravity finish the job, but this time I decided to kill her horse. Turns out that's sort of a valid outcome, though quest is marked as failed. Later Megakles will reveal that "she flew into a rage then joined the pirates." That was totally unexpected for me.

I had 9 separate videos of me taking down a fort in AC Odyssey and today strung them together for a friend and thought I'd share it here:
