Assassins Creed Odyssey

So pretty sure I am done with my third Playthrough of Odyssey. Technically I still have Herodetes's LToG to do...but I really want to move on and star Squadrons so hopefully I can get my backlog of current games done before April hits.

I do not think I ever noticed AIta has two different eye colors...that's new.

It is kind of interesting the whole speech from what's her face to Kassandra about her failing to be a good weapon for the Isu...how exactly? Hard to remember exactly what you have posted years ago but it just strikes me as odd because the...big monster... is a very blunt instrument and I know it would just do terrible destruction to pretty much anyone. And I can kind of get how that would be attractive to the Isu because well they are dumb and...Juno's faction that's it...just seems very blunt and wants mindless killing machines to do their will so all that works. But you would think that an army of Kassandra's, seems to be what they were going for, under Isu control, would be a lot more of a precise instrument then 'argh blargh' boy. Just food for thought and maybe the solution is obvious that they could not control Kass's mind or any of her...clones...but then that is not Kass's failure, but theirs.

Also something I am not sure I mentioned last time or if its something I only realized now but what Alethia did was kind of an Animus situation. At least that is the impression I get during the last simulation. That Kassandra was basically playing out her memories in simulation of the final days of Atlantis. So what we have is an Animus kalediscope because Layla was 'observing' Kass who was observing Alethia. Hmph.

Speaking of Layla though given what we now know about what was going on in Vahalla it still comes off unsettling but also really...well it almost works honestly the idea that he staff is corrupting her. Otso even mentions it but there are times when she just acts to drunk on this power 'you know what I really like...the immortality' Just all muhahahaha! but then there is times she comes back to lucidity and is like 'dear god what have I done' and its a very bi polar effect...almost like someone who is dealing with a corrupting influence which is influencing their actions. Though I had to get very annoyed by Allanah because she asked if Layla killed Otso Berg all worried like...like they don't work for an organization called the ASSAASSINS!

Last but not least though its something I have been musing of late trying to deal with Vahalla's bosses and now playing through this. I almost feel like Odyssey's combat fits dealing with bosses a lot better then Vahalla. The emphasis on stun points and Vahalla's combat being a lot more realistic...bosses aren't realistic. That's the long and the short of it.

Finished Legacy of the First blade. Pretty good DLC. I liked the story and the way it sets up Origins. The Persian armor is one of my favorite since it's exotic but still kinda basic. I get the complaint about marrying Kassandra/Alexios without player input but they are pre-defined characters at the end of the day. I don't quite get why she lets Darius take her son but I suspect it's because she'll always be hunted and he's better off in obscurity. Now I just have the Fate of Atlantis left. I find it harder to get into the mythological DLCs for some reason.

Hmmm strange some time ago i looted all the trees in the game but still no achievement is this some kind of bug that you guys know of.

For once i was serious here *straight face straight face* ... nope not possible.

How many times have you played and how many hours to get 10,000 mercenary kills?

I have:

1,655 Mercenaries defeated
10,333 Assassinations
36,745 Total Kills

3.5 PT's and 815 hours

And I thought I'd done well. 

I went out of my way to kill as many of the bastards as I could and I am just in awe that you could kill that many TBH.

Total kills should be in your stats in Ubisoft Connect same as assassinations.

Now I'm curious about my own mercenary body count. I'll have to check the next time I load Valhalla.

I didn't kill mercs very often once I'd reached the top of the rankings. If they got in my way, sure; but not otherwise. I imagine my numbers won't approach @patricia's.

Of course you are number one @patricia walks away watching my back 

You could "recruit" 1,000 Lieutenants for the ship but there are a fixed number of spaces for Lieutenant's. like 15 at most so it'd be a big waste of money.

Well i uh ... checked my assassinations and total kills but uh ... i don't really want to post them here  uh ... mainly because they're soooo much higher then yours. I'm a really really bad girl  and uh ... i can blame it on Kassandra because she did those killings but that wouldn't be fair now would it ( because i controlled her ). My assassinations are a little higher then yours but total kills is out of the roof over here.  

So uh ... my conclusion is that i will seek and find a good hiding place and overthink what i've done.
   

More or less the same BUT! this was no competition there was no urge for me to become number one.  And i did not get caught up in the kill caper ... so come to think of it ... this is even worse ... far worse.  All those families who lost a loved one brother father mother sister and i am to blame.

I loaded Odyssey and Origins to check my numbers.

In 977 hours played, IIRC I killed 2192 mercenaries in Odyssey. I knew it wouldn't approach @patricia's number. I just don't kill them once I'm #1. I also never kill those trailing my ranking, unless they cross me. They're just fellow Witchers mercenaries on the path, no?
