@patricia, I found some great looking digital desserts, as I remember your fondness for them. Alas, the Champion's Feast must wait, since I'm having issues posting images.

I finished the Atlantis dlc. For a dlc that I paid half price for, it was alright. I have to agree with some about Layla, or as I call her Lamela. So obsessed with the crap she's pursuing that it's clouded her mind leading to bad things, namely the death of Victoria. She couldn't have been much of a friend if Lamela killed her without hesitation. I understand someone being very interested in stuff, but I wouldn't let overwhelm me to the point I lose control. I'm curious what she do in the next game. That might be the mian reason I get the game. Of course I won't get it until I have a ps5 even though it's available for the ps4 as well. After completing the dlc, started another playthrough with Kassandra

And Kassandra is always a good choice and this is more fun what you can do with the Spartan kick ability and the Spartan soldier will sing *i believe i can fly*. "splash" *uh ... nope i ... was ... wrong ... aaaaarrrrgggghhh*

I played Odyssey yesterday. I like it so much better than Valhalla Anyone else still playing it? I have an off topic question in the spoiler tag Has anyone played Hellblade and can tell me anything about it? I just bought it and I think I'm gonna give it a try.

I have an off topic question in the spoiler tag Has anyone played Hellblade and can tell me anything about it? I just bought it and I think I'm gonna give it a try. Regarding Hellblade... My advice would be to watch some Let's Plays to get a feel for it. It's an eerie action-adventure-puzzles game. Personally, I thought it was great. The puzzles are similar in style to the standing stone puzzles in Valhalla. And you'll definitely want to wear headphones for this to get the most out of the binaural audio.

So in regards to Hellblade, it was 7.49 on Steam, so, I mighta already bought it and started it But I'm only to the first fight so I might attempt it then break for the night. As for Odyssey, I think I might just go back to it. I have no desire to play though Valhalla a 2nd time, which is sad to me I'm not sure what my problem with it is, the story is fine, I like Eivor okay but ...I just don't know what it is?? Also, been hankering for DDDA and ACBF too. Decisions, Decisions.
Edit: I don't know if I can play this

Part of it is I find the combat not as much fun and yeah the story is better but the ending was just kind of WTF. I too have been considering playing BF again, I have such fond memories of playing it and chatting with friends and sharing things like white whale locations and those treasure ships, I wonder if the Chat on Uplay still works for that game. Currently replaying MEA.

I haven't finished Valhalla yet due to bugs and glitches but so far the game did not grab me like Odyssey does at the beginning so i tend to agree with you but not really sure yet. Yes i'm still playing Odyssey and i'm on my fifth PT and i'm afraid i do not play as Sexios. So all Hail Kassandra.

I'm the only person here who prefer Valhalla to Odyssey. I can't even finish Odyssey, I get bored after 10ish hours every time I play it and I don't hate the game, it's just boring...but Valhalla, I rushed to finished before Cyberpunk released and now I'm waiting for more patches to replay it properly.

Odyssey allowed me to have nonlethal combat options so it is objectively superior to Valhalla.

I agree in that I feel Odyssey combat is much better. I also prefer that I can actually stealth an entire fort, I do. not. like raids. They got sooooo incredibly boring after like...3. And the next update....MORE RAIDS! YAY...... I honestly think I just miss being an assassin and the assassin/templar storyline. I *love* the isu stuff and the md stuff, but I want to be an assassin again

We also need the Templars developed like the Colonial Rite in 3, 4, and Rogue or a few other individuals like Starrick in Syndicate, Aspasia in Odyssey, or Alfred in Valhalla. Since then and besides those exceptions, they went back to the cartoon villains like in the Ezio Trilogy.

Interesting...when you say 'ending was WTF', is that "the ending was just bad", "just bad compared to the story", or "it made no sense" I enjoyed Kassandra's story (reuniting her family and discovering her past), but - and I think I mentioned this way back in this thread - I unfortunately (like most of you, probably) worked out who the Ghost was after about 3 or 4 of the Sages went down, so the ending was a bit of a let down in Odyssey.

Different horses for different courses I suppose, I just found Odyssey's combat far more entertaining if not realistic and Kassandra a more fun protagonist to play due to her wit and sense of humour and her passion. There were far more options with armour, weapons and build and the environment was far more appealing for me to explore. Though repetitive the forts etc. I always found challenging to try and 100% stealth take down whereas Valhalla I enjoy for the shear Viking thing of knocking the door down and running amok. There is no doubt for me that Valhallas story is superior but the environment of England just isn't appealing. Though I complained about it early on in Odyssey just the brutal nature of the wildlife in ACOD was also something that enriched it, England doesn't have that feel. The Mythical bosses were also great because they are something I grew up reading about and enjoyed whereas The Daughters of Larion didn't have the same feel. It would have been great to fight a spectre of King Arthur to prove your worth for Excalibur or to have to fight Thor for Mjolnir.

I could see something to carry your gear forward, but little else for at least at this point the game doesn't seem to be setup for level scaling like Odyssey was.

I don't think you're in the majority though. And to be honest i don't think that with 10ish hours you gave AC Odyssey an actual chance though but that's just my opinion.

I just leveled up her up in increment of 10-20 hours spread over 2 years with months in-between.

I was looking for all the different things in the different areas before moving on with Odyssey, but with Valhalla I focused to the primary story. As far as your question I prefer Valhalla to Odyssey, but I rarely come to the Odyssey thread anymore. It took me almost a year and half to finish Odyssey for I just didn't enjoy any of my time with it at best I was indifferent. I think the major issues I had with Odyssey is the skill system being locked behind the spear's level and the naval combat.

Something really weird happened to me the other day i was hiding in some bushes waiting for a merc who was looking for me. So she was walking towards me and at a certain point she tripped ( i have never seen a merc tripped before ) and when she got up she got back to right before she tripped and continued looking for me. In all my 5 PT's i have never seen something like this before it was like a scene from a movie that went wrong or something ... very strange. I'm afraid in the end she got killed by Kassandra though.

I got the first blade dlc for half price. Glad I didn't pay full price. It's too bad the Tempest couldn't have been made a Lt on the ship or at least keep her alive. After that, Kassandra has a kid with what's his face. I understand continuing the bloodline, but if I had the choice, I would have Kassandra and Alkibiades have a kid together. What bothered me the most is where is Myrrine? She was completely forgotten. The whole thing was....whatever.
