We shall meet Nightman with our beloved lady Phantom. Of course on Gold. What do you think about this docsteely ? I had the pleasure of him currying me on XBox, though only for a game or two. Seems only fair I return the favor... There you go being modest....... I remember both of those games and I never carried you. You more than held your own and we destroyed the enemy together. If you are on PC, can I add you on Origin?

High: Saved a teammate from getting synced by a Praetorian (on Wave 11, no less!) using a missile.
Low: Unfortunately, that was about the only good thing that I managed to do that match. I decided to get brave and try Gold again, only to be reminded that my manifest in general (and probably also my own skills, if I'm being honest) isn't really at a high enough level for that yet. Granted, I also got slammed by lag (bleeding out almost instantly, gels/ops packs effectively non-functional, etc.) in the last two or three waves, so that didn't help. Guess I'll be keeping to Silver for a while longer.

High: Joined forces with muahmuah , Sonashii (thank you, guys!) and one of his friends for some very nice U/U/P games; I remember a Goddess/Derperus, Jade/Geth, Condor/Reapers, Ghost/Geth and finally a Dagger Hazard/Reapers. All the games were easy as the other Doc was his usual self killing twice as fast as the rest of us and Sonashii was not far behind. I think we even managed an under 20'... Low: I think I'm developing a "Condor-itis syndrome" as once again I was unable to extract on that map... High: Finally got to play with Nightman on PC. I joined his game and lo and behold who was there in all his amphibian splendor: SalMasRac ! Though we only played bronze and silver the games were very enjoyable. Salmasrac proved why the Salarians were the first Spectres (or is it Specters?) killing everything in that very efficient, almost business-like Salarian manner. As for the poor transfuge from XBox (yep, Nightman) I can certify he's already way above some PC pugs I've met on platinum, but as I am a mean person, I'll let him still think he's not ready for gold. Thanks for the games, guys! High: I ended playing some good U/U/G with 09_Trooper (Thanks, man!), we did quite well for the first two games, but the last two were extremely laggy: a Glacier Hazard/Geth in which I could not see any Prime(!), though they kept shooting at me and an even more laggy Dagger/Collectors, in which starting with the second wave I could not see trooper and I played all the game as if there were only 3 players (yes, that's including the score screen)... All in all a very pleasant gaming day!

I was nowhere near the Doctor. But if you say that you should mention yourself as well coz we always are very close at the end of the match Yeah, we planned to do a speedrun in the last game. RNG gave us Dagger Hazard with splitted spawns for most of the time. So you can imagine how it went. 20 mins later the match was done. Personal High: For the first time I used Volus Mercenary. Gave him Typhoon for lulz I managed to survive and even kill a few things haha All in all, it was good day to kick some butts. Especially when I had such a good players next to me The pleasure is mine.

High: Inspired by nostalgia in the Crutch thread, I rolled the HE with Carnifex, and topscored by some distance in a game with two BotBs - a Kroguard host and TGI/Harrier. HE/Carnifex is clearly OP! Low: Hard freeze just after getting the wave 10 credits. I blame the host, who had rage-quit a Collectors game previously and presumably not re-booted (as I did, before arriving in his GiP on wave 2.) This made me realise I still haven't decided what method of transport I'll be taking to Andromeda, if you know what I mean. I have a PS4, I'm always open to 'the right deal' on an Xbox, and I also need a new PC. Decisions, decisions.

High:Got to run some games with budhalen for the first time in a long time, too bad I got 'Waiting for other players' for what would've been my last match. Though, next time I won't be the reason we fail a match.
Low: Ugh platinum solos are killing me, too many gels and ops packs wasted early and that kills me later in the match. Attempting the N7 challenges and on host phantoms that I can't force a bubble on are really annoying.

I'm staying in Milky Way, putting myself into hibernation for a billion years and waiting for The Ninth World. There will be pleasant memories and there will be memories of all those geth and Collector matches, but yeah... I think I spent too much time in MEverse. Time to move on, explore new horizons At this point, I feel like I'm playing the game more out of habit than anything else and while I'm still having fun with it most of the time, I also really feel I need a change.

Me & Mustang finished off that match A-OK. It was time to be done anyway. I was pretty irritated that I got stomped waiting for that crab to pass over my corpse. Pretty smart by the game to place that f-ing objective right on top of the f-ing spawn point. That match seemed to be moving along so well too...then cheating Trollector shit storm. BTW...I didn't even know I could use my Android Mic/IEMs by plugging directly into my controller. I'll have to give that a shot next time.

Time to move on, explore new horizons At this point, I feel like I'm playing the game more out of habit than anything else and while I'm still having fun with it most of the time, I also really feel I need a change. I've felt like that so many times over the years, but I always come back. The longest I went without a ME3MP fix was a month, when I was playing Fallout 4. Looking back, I can't get that month back!!! Seriously, since I first played ME2 in the summer of 2011, I can probably count on my fingers the number of other games I've actually played to completion, while the list of ones I've spent 2 or 3 hours on is quite embarrassing - GTA5, MGS5, Alien Isolation, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Mad Max, Assassin's Creed Unity and Syndicate, Far Cry 4, Hitman - and those are only the ones on PS4, along with smaller titles like Firewatch or Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. I have all the Xbox Gold and PS+ games, along with a whole load of second hand bargains on PS3 or 360. Nothing compares to Mass Effect, despite its many flaws. I guess it's because I'm actually living out some kind of Sci-Fi fantasy first awoken in me watching Star Trek as a small boy in the 70s. The things we take for granted now were literally beyond my imagination back then, so I guess this isn't just some old guy's ramble, this is an acknowledgment that for me at least, these really are the golden days. I bought the ME Trilogy plus DLC twice over, for less than the price of an ounce of weed. The latter would be gone in less than a month, while I've probably had around 4000 hours of play from the former. Not a bad investment. And that's not even getting into the fact that I've made friends with guys like you and many of the other eejits here, who have given me safe haven and therapy to cope with my addiction. I get bored sometimes too, but no one's ever put a gun to my head to make me play. Low: Laggiest match I've ever experienced, on Glacier Hazard, while playing as a Vorcha Sentinel. I quit twice, while exchanging apologetic messages to and from the host. High: I paired the above character with the High Lord, definitely for the first time, and achieved a degree of near sexual arousal. I know the Venom can cause more destruction and the Crusader more versality and I won't even mention the Quarian abomination, but the joy I was having doing point blank decapitations was matched only by my little mentalist's Bloodlust. GRAAAAH!!! Low: Wave 10 freeze, for the second time in two days, with not a Collector in sight. What's that you were saying Mordokai? Time to move on? LOLPS3!!!

High: mey terryfonz and we extracted. Lowest of lows, lower than dinosaur bones: 26 minute Ghost Hazard Geth game. 2 PUGS shat themselves so much, they should wear Huggies the next time they play. I've heard nothing but AAARRRH, I'M HIT, DOWN! My TSent went Garrus x100, eating every possible double missile from Rokkit Troopa's to the point were even peeking my Saber out of RHA was greeted with 3 missiles and 6 Prime shots back-to-back. Spent all match in red screen, not to mention that acid rain

That may be non-optimal, but it's damn near my favourite combo in the game, particularly with disruptor ammo and adrenaline. It does mean running the flamer a bit longer than I'd like, so I can hide the reload animation, but with few other characters does the game turn into a dance of death like this!

Yeah, sorry I was slow to discover the glory of this. In my defence I try to keep as much variety going as possible, and the Claymore is already permanently welded to my Krentinel, HSol, Huntress, BF3 Soldier and gets use with some others, while I had been enjoying infinite light melees on my Vorcha with an Executioner Pistol and melee stunner. No going back now though, at least when I have Shotgun amps! muahmuah - in the history of popular entertainment there have been a total of two sword-wielding characters who have engaged me positively: the N7 Shadow, and Inigo Montoya. I realize this means I have a defective gamer gene, but that said, I've heard nothing but good reports about The Witcher 3. Even if it's not my type of game, I can be pleased that it has seemingly raised the bar regarding mission structure as that should have a knock on effect on Bioware.

Low: galactic readiness 50% Played a couple of silver solos and a gold game with SenorTomate to try and get back to speed, then took the plunge into pug land! Low: when you have astronomical CPs, join a preset gold/geth/glacier lobby with newcomers, switch to trusty TSent, and proceed to wipe on wave 5 High: expiated my shame by carrying them to victory in the following gold/white/reapers bout High: a number of good matches that made me wonder why I stayed away for so long: good teammates, fast games, good teamplay, heavy melees exchanged Low: a number of bad matches that made me remember why I stayed away for so long: lag, scorewhoring during hacks on silver (!), modded lobby to remove syncs and the host is a warlord It is strange (and a bit embarassing) to come back and be so rusty, but since the high did outweight the low, I might happen to drop into your lobby in the near future... just remember to cut a bit of slack for a tortoise trying to slowly get back up to speed

I say "slowly" and you two throw Ariake in front of me? That's a whole different type of slow! I am a long way away from even attempting a regular good old gold solo! To be honest, I don't see myself going for Ariake any time soon. I know I could do it eventually, but staying away for a while did narrow my focus on just how much grinding I am willing to subject myself to, and Ariake is way above that. Soloing for me is more about the challenge, but there's little fun in it - which is why, for example, I only ever did one plat solo. Now duos, that's a whole different story! if anyone ever sees me online, don't hesitate to ask, I will duo anything, anywhere (gold), especially a certain series I have not yet completed! ... though it might take a fair number of tries to complete any challenge at the moment

Today, Platinum was the new Gold. High: Got some very nice U/U/P games first with xelander, after which Sonashii came along; we had several pugs, in one of them we were joined by xiaobei85, I don't know if he's a BSNer or not. Highest: After which muahmuah joined us and the whole game took us 15'... High: Some more speedruns with the Doc, in which we were joined at one point by sona's friend, Lonnegan. Overall, including a trio U/U/P with the Doc all the games were around 20'. Low: What's that?

Wiping on that wave 10 Geth/Glacier Hazard. Death by geth turret is just insulting...
