What is your current intention with regards to purchasing Cyberpunk?

From what I've seen, it's like they decided the Witcher series wasn't bleak enough 

It would also - unless something comes up in between - be only my second First Person Perspective game, the other being Kingdom Come Deliverance and I'm still not completely on board with how that 'handles'.  Although, I don't get motion sickness from it, like I know some people here do, so I guess that's something.

Honestly, every CDPR game is best when you wait for a few months after patches. They update their engine for every game which means bugs and gameplay tweaks need addressing. I waited 6 months after TW3 and had no regrets, but I don't think I'll have that kind of willpower for Cyberpunk.

I'll wait until I hear more about it. I like the setting and genre, but considering CDPR is making it and they haven't made a single game I enjoyed yet I have a lot of questions that need answering before I commit.

My sister won't be able to play because first person, which sucks, but this is a pre-order for me. We've seen some pretty explorable fantasy worlds, but a fully explorable sci-fi world? A fully explorable cyberpunk city? Aw hell naw! The world looks gorgeous atm and I love the idea of apartment buildings being mini cities. Character customisation looks great (Bioware take some notes). World looks alive and the actual brutality of it is on point for cyberpunk genre, and the driving !!!

Cannot wait!

It's on my top list, but even the top list games get some wait now. 2020 even if it releases 2019.

It'll definitely get a longer term support, so there's a chance I wait until even 2021-2022 for a 75%-50% discount.

But I'm playing it.

Zero fucks given until third person is added or considered. I'm beyond exhausted from tunnel vision and seeing games locked in the perspective kills my interest. Go the Rockstar path, do both. I don't buy into their claims that FPP will make it more immersive. RDR 2 has that in spades and to a point that it can damn near make a grown man cry.

I was really turned off by FPP thing and there isn't enough body animations to justify the FPP, at least not in that demo.
Maybe if in the future there's a fanmade tpp mod, I'll buy on sale.

It has me interested. The more information and gameplay that is released/shown, and if I like what I see, so far I do, the more likely I will preorder the game.

I will probally get it, but I'll wait for a considerable discount. Do these devs expect me to pay 200 bucks for their game on launch?

Most likely at or near release, although that depends on what else is going on with my life at the time.

What I’ve seen so far certainly looks good enough to give it a go. Potentially it could be absolutely amazing or just good enough enough to have a bit of fun messing around in the world. Bugs and glitches don’t seem to bother me as much as many people, so unless I hear it’s a complete train wreck, I’d give it a go anyway then put it down for a bit if I find anything too major.

I think it’s perfectly understandable CDPR are banning constant discussion of 1st and 3rd person perspective from their forum. It’s a fairly fundamental creative decision. I wasn’t too sure when I first heard about it, but after hearing their reasoning and then seeing the demo, I get why they made that choice. I’m certainly not going to complain about it before at least trying it. There’s little chance of them changing it now anyway.

Hopefully they’re not paying too much attention to other demands people make either. Sure, they can listen to fans and maybe get some ideas, but should ultimately just make what they want.
