Hello there everyone. So, we all know N7 Day wasn't particularly full of announcements. What perfect opportunity to announce an idea I had a while ago.
Months after the Reaper War, Sfc. Sar'Neda vas Neema is approached by the Quarian Councillor to put together a team of various Special Forces operatives for a simple mission: The training of Krogan Scouts in the subtle art of reconnaissance. However, not every detail of the mission is offered up front, and as one would expect, the Council has multiple intentions with the team, as hushed whispers speak of a plot to overthrow Urdnot Wrex...
The plot will revolve around an uprising on Tuchanka, seeking to overthrow Wrex's progressive movement and return the Krogan to the old ways of galactic conquest, with calmer moments offered when the team conducts their official mission of sharing their knowledge with the Krogan loyalists.
Krogan of all walks of life - being a Loyalist to Wrex is a bonus, not a requirement
Special Forces operatives:
- Alliance Novembers (ICT Graduates - N1 through N7)
- Asari Commandos
- Turian Blackwatch/lesser-known SOF units (feel free to invent!)
- SPECial Tactics and REconnaissance agents (can involve any race that could possibly gain the honor as a result of the Reaper War)
- Salarian Special Tasks Group agents
- Quarian Migrant Fleet Marine Special Forces (condition here - these guys all passed the courses designed by Sar, who will reprise her role as my character)
Genophage has been cured
Wrex is in charge of the Krogan
Very high EMS (Shepard survived, but let's try to stay away from mentioning who they are, exactly unless we have to)
I think three or four other players would be a great number. We should start with each being assigned to the team and meeting. Afterwards, their arrival on Tuchanka and start of their official and covert duties.
This is the original evolution I intended for Aftermath, and as such the path is not yet set in stone as the plot moved from the Earth immediately after the Crucible fires to Tuchanka a few months after the fact.
The base of the story revolves around a rebellion in the ranks and the team having to root out the rebels, find out who their leader is, and either eliminate him or bring him to face justice. If a player decides to RP a Krogan Rebel, he or she will be told the identity of the leader.
Possibilities are infinite, from evacuating HVIs from hot zones to eliminating HVTs, direct action againist rebel positions, special recon... You name it, these Special Forces can do it!
Hopefully a semi-loose plot where everyone has to work together at investigating what is going on as well as playing their role. If that doesn't work, I'll make sure to have a more rigid plotline.
