So, I'm currently creating 3 Characters for each Dragon Age game: 1 of each class. Since Qunari makes too much sense to me as an Inquisitor I'm left in a bind; where my 3 Hawkes are by necessity in three alternate timelines (Or maybe I should just create one and have that be 'the' Hawke for all of my canons and apocrypha), my Wardens and Inquisitors can all be different characters that existed in the same one. So with my American Male and American Female voices used already for two of my Vashoth Quizzys, I want to use a third different voice. Can I make it work? Does it sound too weird? If I do use the British one, which of them is better (on a Qunari), the male or female voice?

Sounds weird, for sure. A very large woman with a high pitched voice.

For example if you're going with a quirky presonalit ythen you might get away with a different sounding voice . Not tried it myself yre tbut I was thinking of doinga Qunari Quizzy with Alix's voice for the Sera romance especially as she's not the type o fperson I'd normally go with for a romance as I'd say either Cassandra or Cullen aer the one's I'd normally get with depending on my quizy's personality and whether they were male or female.

My preference nowadays is the American VA for both, but my first couple of female Qunquisitors used Alix's voice and I thought it worked really well! Especially for a bookish mage. Your character has travelled all over the Free Marches and so I think any accent works. Especially if their merc company was largely made up of non-qunari, or one (or both) of their parents were ex-viddathari.

Yeah, one of the options you choose with Josie seems to indicate you weren't always with the Valo-Kas, and you worked with non-Vashoth. Ooooh, now I've got an idea for an Alix-voiced mage...

I LOVED the male British voice on my Qunari. But my Qunari was very young looking and not very masculine so it fitted him better than the American voice. It took some getting used to in the beginning but it ended up growing on me.

It took some getting used to in the beginning but it ended up growing on me. I had this same thing. My qunari looks very young, like someone in their early 20's so the American voice was way too gruff and deep. The British was pretty much the perfect pitch for him, maybe the accent could've been a bit different but I got used to it fast.

well my female qunari uses a female british voice. i mean, all 4 voice actors are great, but alix wilton regan's acting is addictive. so yeah i think it can work. i mean the vashoth inquisitor was born outside of the qun and lived on the free marches, it's not far fetch for them to have a non qunari accent.

There are dwarves with high-pitched voices, elves with deep voices, humans run the gamut too.

My Qunquisitor used a British accent because she was raised in the Free Marches (where that's how everyone sounds) and I can't imagine her sounding any other way.

I love Alix's voice but I can't see it being used for some oafish Qunari.

Sounds weird, for sure. A very large woman with a high pitched voice.
It sounded weird on a fem dwarf too, so much so I had to scrap that character and start over.
I wouldn't call Alix's voice necessarily high-pitched but more breathy. It just felt wrong on my dwarf. (that and she sounds just like femHawke when the two of them are together - makes my head hurt telling them apart)

I used the British voice for my female Qunari, but my ideal voice would have been the deeper tone of the American voice with the accent of the British one. As it was, I had to choose which one I wanted more at that moment.

I love Alix's voice but I can't see it being used for some oafish Qunari. Yeah her voice is not one I'd picture being on a Qunari unless you'er giong for a quirky/unusual one. But I think it largely depensd on what you'er going for. I was planning on a quirky Qunari for my next Inquisitor. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out.
