I was jealous and a bit sad about Alkibiades getting married. He assured me it was an open marriage but I was starting to get a major crush on him. And he never saw me as romance material :/ Yeah but surely you realise by now that with Alkibiades its all about politics and influence. I took away that he was getting married for politics sake but yeah I was disappointed to.

Wait... I learned podarkes was her dad and then the game doesn't let me tell her. Patience. The Kyra quests and her romance are my favourite one in the game although to keep her happy is complicated.

Go back to the Cave Hideout. Kyra shows up all friendly. Considering I rejected her for being the cheat-y cheat cheat she was... this comes off as btrying too hard to pretend a rejection doesn't matter
Of course I tell Kyra privately m not trying to get her overthrown, seriously

You might think you are ok and then BAM, someone dies at the very end because of a quest decision you already forgot about 😀 And don't get me started how easy it is for Kyra to go suicide jumper. "Kyra, stop! I was just not paying attention to the dialogue option, I swear, get back from that edge!"

Feelings of disgust that Thelatos stays with the woman that tried throwing herself at me after killing goats on a beach
Bleh.
Everyone seems happy.
Underwhelming rebellion is underwhelming...
Aawwwwwww Barnabas got a girlfriend
I have a feeling I was supposed to do this question way earlier.
No one died but Podarkes...

I think from now on I'll just do the Atlantis storyline to finish up. Unless there is a notable side quest I'm missing? I did look up the Thelatos romance and that was... Something I would have liked but in the end, Thelatos is pretty wishy washy about who he's in love with. Still, he wasn't the aggressive one, so even if he's hen pecked I think of his cheating slightly better than Kyra's version. Still, all that content for either side is problematic. And now "Barney's" got a girl. Yay just jelly

But I got smart and spoiled myself so that Alexios was very careful after that. Getting basically dumped by Thelatos was about as good as it was going to get and he's thankful nobody died. Even the rebel is alive because he's still stuck in jail.

I am guessing you either didn't do the Sokrates quest or killed the guy you were sent to free 😀 I did it afterwards. It was funny he went back to a Rebellion that was done. Why? I knew it! If you did the quest before the win celebration then the rebel extremist (if alive) will poison Thaletas (if alive) and ruin everyone's evening. Thaletas is the biggest target throughout the whole quest line. It's very easy to get him to challenge you to a duel to the death. However he has a chance to romance both Kass and Kyra one after the other (apparently Kyra is not a jealous type) so it's "heavy risk...but the priiiiize..." (ME2 reference).

And then he kinda had this speech about where he was going in the future politically for Athens and I was like...um, did I help a secret little monster all along? Still bummed, though. he was an attractive fun recurring character and possibly the only character I've felt attached to outside of my idea of mom (before meeting her) and Deimos.

Why would he poison Thaletas, that is such a weird decision. But when Socrates brought the prisoner up he was kinda like, "do it by sunrise" but I knew this game didn't work like that. If anything, I semi forgot about it, semi decided to test the "time" requirement. Kyra was a major turn off. I didn't flirt with her, I sided with her strategic plan. She'd had one scuffle with her boy toy on screen, gotten jealous I'd even met him before I'd met her... and decided to dump all her "maybe he's not for me, there is something between us" out of nowhere. I was not feeling that. And I watched Thaletos romance on youtube and after so many dialogue lines even getting him to cheat on Kyra in the first place, he seemed to make a REAL decision and choose you. Only for him to talk to Kyra off screen and decide that was an "in the moment passion" or something that Kyra needs to forgive and ignore. o-o Glad I missed it. That was a hot mess.

He's playing life and death with his riddles and I got very sick of him showing up. And it was funny that Alkibiades wanted him so badly, but nope, no Socrates for Alkibiades I think this entire questline must have had about 15 writers who never met or talked with each other and their work just got mashed together for the mess that it became. And Thaletas really seemed mentally unstable with all his wishy washy mumble jumble "didn't even know what he wanted" personality...maybe even a little suicidal...which I guess could describe Kyra too. They'll make a great couple.

Ya, knowing both sides, they can go be a hot mess together Originally, I had thought Thelatos was a solid guy who's girlfriend threw herself at the first strong Mistios to show up and fix her problem. At least on youtube, Thalates seemed to put up a bit of emotional turmoil and made you jump hoops and "think about things". And then after his implying he wanted to start a new life with Kass on youtube, he backtracks and says, "nah, I'll be with Kyra." Ya, you guys got problems. I'm getting off this island.

OH, so like, when I was going after the doll, I really was feeling weirded out that like...shouldn't I just kill Podarkes right now? he's just there sleeping.
There were a lot of moments in this quest line that were like that, and I have to say, it made me feel rather non immersed. I also keep investigating all these Questions marks on the ways to places and looting things only to find out that I had the Stone Dildo ( I think that's what it was from the context) for Alkibiades and Thaeltas' helmet even before they'd asked for it o-o
I am just failing at playing this game correctly, I guess.

I just feel like I'm doing things out of order? Like M for Murder quest the Beggar gives you. I can't tell Kyra about it for two scenes more- where you tell her you finished all the weakening you can't say it, and when she asks you to the beach to "help" her hunt goats you can't tell her. So it's almost like I should have: 1. killed the polemarch and burn supplies 2. gone hunting with Kyra 3. NOW do M for Murder 4. Tell Kyra that Podarkes is her father Otherwise during 2 and 3 you're just keeping really silent on a big issue for now reason. Should I consider it a benefit that the game is so "free style" it can mess up it's own narrative pacing? And it turns out you can absolutely just walk up there and Assasinate him Directly, making Kyra's Strategic plan moot. I'm on the fence about whether I'd buy the AC game that Mike Laidlaw would work on in the coming years. Maybe he could whip these writers into shape on this front.

I was confused about M for Murder too and ran around trying to talk to Kyra about it but she wouldn't talk to Alexios by then since Alexios and T hooked up although turns out Kyra didn't care about that. Also I debated about killing Podarkes too soon but ended up killing him because I was afraid K or T would go running off to kill him and get slaughtered. Sounds like something these two would do. And then I'm so lousy at sword fighting that I kept getting killed in the conquest battle so I stomped off the island in a huff and practiced using my sword abilities for several days and came back a better sword fighter and finished the conquest battle quickly. Gave Alexios some time to reflect on how it might be better to just move on from those two "on and off lovebirds", especially since T promptly dumped him the next time they met.

Because I romanced Kyra I got a different set of circumstances to both of you, I told Kyra we had to tell Thaletas and after the pyre for Poldarkes I was told I had to meet Thaletas at the beach where he went nuts and attacked Kassandra who thought he was a twit anyway and killed him. The kicker was then having to lie for the only time in the game. To get a good ending I had to tell Kyra Thaletas had already left to take up his General's job. It felt bad but if you don't Kyra gets cranky at Kassandra for killing him and they break up. I don't remember when I did the Conquest battle but I think it determines whether the whole poisoning thing takes place at the party. Maybe Obsidian Gryphon or saandrig know the intricacies

You didn't fail. The devs didn't lock quest items. If you pick it up during exploration, you picked it up. They didn't bother to write different dialogues to cater for it. I just feel like I'm doing things out of order? Like M for Murder quest the Beggar gives you. I can't tell Kyra about it for two scenes more- where you tell her you finished all the weakening you can't say it, and when she asks you to the beach to "help" her hunt goats you can't tell her. I'm on the fence about whether I'd buy the AC game that Mike Laidlaw would work on in the coming years. Maybe he could whip these writers into shape on this front. Those quests do not have a planned sequence. They can be done in any order. The only time you can talk to Kyra about her father is after you picked up the toy and confirmed the fact. Other than the shock to this piece of news, she doesn't have second thoughts on the plan to kill him. It can be construed that her hatred of him is such that it doesn't matter he's her father. He has to die.
