Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm in a little bit of a pickle with the Scrolls of Banastor sidequest on my current playthrough. Namely, while I've gotten all five scrolls, the last three didn't update my codex, and the Mages' Collective liaisons aren't reacting to them. I am using Qwinn's Fixpack this time around - my first time using a mod - and wonder if that might have broken something. I know Qwinn's pack does something with the Scrolls (apparently makes them "disappear from your plot items after completing the quest"). In my case, however, I find myself unable to complete the quest at all. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

I had almost the exact thing happen when I had Qwinn's installed. Removing it did not fix the problem, nor did adding the scrolls manually via additems. There may be a work around, but I do not know what it is.

I dunno if doing it like this causes bugs but Run this in the console runscript zz_getsetplotflag set lite_mage_banastor 2 1 That'll advance the quest If you want the codex entries then runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_lite_tow_banastor 0 1 runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_lite_tow_banastor 1 1 runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_lite_tow_banastor 2 1 runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_lite_tow_banastor 3 1 runscript zz_getsetplotflag set cod_lite_tow_banastor 4 1

tried to find a solution on my own during my previous playthrough but couldn't find anything and I'm a completionist so...yeah:rollseyes:

Hullo all. I've had this reported on my posts page and I'm working on version 3.5 of the Fixpack now, and found this thread while working the problem. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it, nor can I see from the code how I (or anything) could be causing it. I don't change anything about this particular quest. My removing the scrolls at the end of the quest couldn't have any impact on it at all, since the problem you're having is that you *can't* complete the quest, and your scrolls aren't being removed. I've posted my findings so far in detail on the posts page of the mod on Nexus. Since I can't reproduce it, I'll need someone who has a save game where the bug can be made to recur to answer my questions. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
BTW, uninstalling my mod midgame is absolutely sure to break your game, and unlikely to fix any bug it could cause regardless. If you want to do it as a test anyway, go for it, but don't bother saving any game after you do that, and revert to a previous save afterwards.

Just want to say that I love what you did so far, it makes my playthroughs so much better especially love that I now gain approval with Oghren at several sections which doesn't require me to pelt the poor man with booze (not that I think he'd mind)
so again, thanks for the work so far

Thanks for the kind words Much appreciated, and glad you like it. Still really hoping for some additional information on the Banastor scrolls issue before I release v3.5 (which is fast approaching). I can't duplicate it, but I don't doubt that something's going on, since several people have reported it. Anything could help - perhaps comparing mod lists that were being used when it happened. Please post over on the Nexus mod page if there's anything anyone who encountered this problem could help with - providing a save game just prior to looting that third scroll would be quite helpful.
