Well assuming the comics are setting up for Dragon Age 4, the (male) KISA role is already filled by Aaron so we're out of luck once again. Curses! Alistair/Cullen/Blackwall'ed again! But Aaron by the start of Trespasser would be 57 years old (born 6 years after Wynne no less). I don't think BW are going to decide to dedicate that many resources to develop a romance for a character who is old enough to have great grand children
(I mean, sure, Solas, is techically almost 10000 years old, but he doesn't look it)

I don't think Cassandra looked "older than she should be" since the character was in her late 30's in DA:I and looked it. She's the only female LI in the series that's not "young", so I don't see an issue with including an older lady. I was with you until... This point. Josephine is the definition of conventionally attractive! Conventionally feminine, long hair in a gorgeous updo, pretty face, "exotic" accent, wears frilly skirts, sashays when she walks... very, very sexy and at "27 to 29" years old, certainly very young.

another wish to the list: Please do not make slavery apologetic love interests Bioware, we are going to Tevinter so I hope if they want to touch that territory is with non-romanceable companions.

I can't see why the perception of slavery in the Tevinter Imperium would be very different if the love interest is from tevinter. Unless of course the love interest might be an elf. With that said, I have not read the books or the comics, so Dorian might have changed his opinion.

Also, seconding (thirding? whichever) a butch female LI for women. The endless parade of femmes makes it seem a bit like the f/f romances were created more with straight guys in mind than anything else.
(Femme isn't bad or anything, but it's noticeable when that's ALL there is. You could sort of argue that Vetra breaks the mold but that's not DA so...)

LOL. Fair enough. I'm certainly not Josephine's target audience. To me, she is pretty (her face and her accent and how she carries herself), but her styling is.......not so cute. So young and pretty. Check. Sexy? I'll have to take your word on that.
I guess my point was that DA:I's options for straight guys are the only ones that wouldn't fit into the "Yennifer/Triss" category. I actually see Morrigan, Leliana, and Isabela being cut from the same cloth as those. At least with regards to looks.

A slightly more feminine looking male, but a male nontheless. The square face really did a her some disservice.

Granted, he does seem like the kind of dude who might try and push for the ending of slavery, if provided with a better alternative. As he pointed out himself, the elven servants in Ferelden are not exactly better off even without slavery, they might even have it worse. So /shrug I kinda like that whole little dilemma in the Dragon Age universe.

I can imagine a slavery apologist as a LI – with a possibility of a hard rivalry, and a break point (depends on the character). But I understand you. Cullen is pretty popular despite, he's a Circle apologist... especially as a mage, even with the problem, that the (Circle mage) Inquisitor was never able to question his views.

Cassandra and Josephine are far prettier than Triss or Yennefer. More realisticly pretty in a world where magical plastic surgery to look like the top 1% of our modern world doesn't exist, anyway. It's weird for them to point to Yenn and Triss. I'm not implying it's magical plastic surgery in a cute snide way, it is considered magical plastic surgery even in it's base world. That's the lore.

I'm a bit in love with Yennefer, I just don't find her significantly more attractive than the women in DA. Game engines aside, they all strike me as more-or-less equally good-looking.

And why not appeal to the "typical male fantasy" when making a straight male to female love interest? I'm not sure catering to the typical male fantasy is the cup of tea Bioware is currently sipping. Most of the time, they barely know what their characters look like. My understanding of how Bioware makes characters is: A. I have this story I want to tell. it A. Ties into the main story or B. Ties into the supporting story. 2. They feel out whether this character would do A or B well. If they decide that it is so then... 3. What do they look like? 4. Who would they fuck? So they can't make/demand a sexy bitch and THEN fill in their back story. That's not their MO

I mean sometimes it's nice to make a design you like and just let the personality and story speak for itself instead of resorting to appearance. But that goes to all LIs. I just don't really understand what appearance has to do with anything. I personally look for story and personality that works with my own PC, not appearance. Sure I have strong preferences, but what matters is the content in the end.

I can agree, if that bad guy not painted as good guy, and my character not forced to agree with that bad guy, and able to question hard. I think questioning one's immoral habits is pretty much a given and needed, but you should also be able to agree with those immoral habits as long as it doesn't completely go against the flow of the game and it's story to the point that being a heroic protagonist that saves the day makes absolutely no sense. In the end, it's roleplaying. I usually roleplay a piece of shit. And I'd like to romance a piece of shit granted he doesn't treat me like a piece of shit, ye.
