My personal wish is a gay KISA. It is one kind of romance that I have not really experienced. I don't care much about race. And I don't want the gay romance to have the homosexuality drama like in Dorian. I think I have enough of that. I would like to see some LIs making move on you as well. It should not be blatant or aggressive like "You're hot, lets fuck." There should be many options to respond to that as well such as gently letting them down, not-so-gently letting down, and accepting; basically giving enough options for people to roleplay. One last thing I want to see in DA4 is that Bioware should be more transparent on which LIs are available to whom when it comes to marketing before launch. I don't want to go through what they did for MEA launch again. the closest thing to a Punisher-like love interest I have seen is Hancock from FO4, I love my ghoulie boi I dont know men, we are going to wait a lot til we'll see actual info and that drives me nuts lol hopefully other rpgs release info to endure this madness Hancock is lovely. I think I romance all the guys in Fallout 4. I expect DA4 to be out around 2020. Not sure if that is an optimistic view. So yeah it is going to be a long wait. Meanwhile I am romancing Ifan in Divinity 2. His flirt is very cute which Bioware could learn a thing or two from it. About RPG, The Outer Worlds is coming next year but there is no romance.

I don't want to go through what they did for MEA launch again. "Who are the romance options?" "We're not telling. We want everyone to discover the romance options while playing the game. In the meantime, here's footage of straight Scott making out with Cora." "What about gay options?" "Sorry, we're not telling. We want everyone to discover the romance options while playing the game. Here's footage of straight Sara kissing Liam." "Yeah, but what about gay options?" "Nope. We're not telling. We want everyone to discover the romance options while playing the game. But what about that Jaal? He sure does like the like ladies, doesn't he?" "Okay, but what about the gay options?" "What don't you understand? We aren't announcing romance options. But what guy doesn't love having a sexy Asari lady straddling him? Pretty good banging, amirite? Heh, heh, heh."

I don't want to go through what they did for MEA launch again. YES PLEASE. That "haha wait and see... " response (while still showing dude Ryder banging Cora and Peebs in the trailers) was so unnecessary. The people who don't want to know can avoid spoilers, but pls for the love of god don't make the rest of us suffer through THAT again. edit: ninja'd by dave

They should do what they did for DA2: REveal all the romances the Valentine's Day before the game came out.

Man, remember that day we all ran around yelling 'AUFGESTOCKT!!!' after that German magazine revealed that everyone was available to both genders? That was a happy time.

Oh man, I remember that! Or rather the speculation just before that. People were SO SURE Isabela and Fenris would be the bisexual ones, because we already knew about Bela from Origins and Fenris.... was an elf, which was an actual reason someone cited lmao. Oh BSN.

another wish to the list: Please do not make slavery apologetic love interests Bioware, we are going to Tevinter so I hope if they want to touch that territory is with non-romanceable companions. I think in a game set in a pre-modern society, it would be unrealistic to expect most love interests to oppose slavery, especially if they come from a country where it's legal. I'd argue many Dragon Age love interests could be considered to at least tacitly accept slavery, since no one ever spoke out against the slavery in Orlais (established to exist in the Codex). Really, It's a world without electricity, indoor plumbing or mass media, there's no concept of human rights so arguably most love interests should have attitudes we would find backwards. This is the wrong type of argument. There is no reason why pre-modern societies must necessarily have slavery. High technology isn't necessarily tied to universalist morality either. That slavery is legal and pretty much an accepted fact of life for most people in Tevinter is far more of an issue. Also, it's perfectly normal to defend things in your country to outsiders, even if you're not exactly comfortable with them.
Having said that, this is a statistical issue. If of ten people in Tevinter, nine are supportive of the status quo, our hypothetical NPC could be the tenth - though personally I would find it more interesting if they weren't.

And talking about camps, I need the campfires to return with a beautiful ambient song, really miss that from DAO, it has nothing to do with romances or maybe it does, romance at campfires are always better

Living in a state that legalizes slavery does not mean the person tacitly accepts slavery weather the world takes place in the past or modern times. They may believe for whatever reason they cannot speak out. There will be those that don't hold slaves. I would like to see the LI companion accept slavery as normal, for the sake of depth and interest of character if DA4 takes place in Tevinter. The rows the pc can have with their LI about slavery could be fun. I’m not really opposed as I am okay with just avoiding the romances. I didn’t care for either of my options in DAI so I just didn’t do it. But, when you go with something that objectionable and there are a limited number of options available to your orientation it seems to be asking for trouble. “My only option is the slaver or the ugly rude person, great thanks BioWare”

If bioware is going to stick to 'set sexualities' in the upcoming title, instead of a "Everyone is a bisexual" So a non-slaver option is possible! And elves can be pretty too.

And especially since dragon age has a canon setting so my play throughs are clearly in a alternate universe so why can x be gay or hetero in my alternate universe. But it did seem to upset people on all sides.

But it did seem to upset people on all sides. Player sexual is a possibility, but not one I am personally fond of because having writers only allowed to do ambiguous writings and animators only do ambiguos animations that seem more "gender neutral" so to speak. Imagine if the player female elf/human was replaced with a male in the Cullen romance scene, that to me would look rather weird... atleast to me it would. Therefor I believe that making the animations and writing in general ambiguous lessens the possible romance that otherwise could have been. And if there is anything I have learned is that people LOVE their romances. Also take a character such as Solas where not only sexuality comes into play but also species, things like that can end up becoming something deeply ingrained in a character's person's, and dismissing that could potentially ruin the character. Admittedly the sexuality thing is not as equally important as a character preferring specific species. In terms of sexuality it is mostly just the overall writing (Dialogues especially) and animations being left ambiguos which could ruin it. Therefor I prefer to see set sexualities rather than an all bisexual cast. I think many can agree that the romances in DA:I were far superior than those in DA2, granted, DA2 romance quality might have been because of time limitations.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I get around to all the romances so anything that creates interest and goes with the world and story I'm all for it. I haven’t replayed dragon age games past DAO much. The gameplay is kind of clunky so usually once initially for the story and a second time as a refresher near the next games launch. In DAI Cassandra I found morally objectionable and the other lady I just didn’t like. Romances are pretty low on my priority so it’s not a big deal. Developing a friendship or antagonist is just as valid in a game. But people do seem to get upset and raise a big stink if they feel their options are shorted in quality or quantity. And my observation leads me to believe the dragon age fan base is even more focused on romances than the mass effect one. And honestly I just want as little as a forum shit storm as possible over the issue. It seems to clog the forums going past the character section often and I start avoiding them.

There is a saying: you say potato; I say pot-ah-to Playersexual - all characters are bisexual What I want to convey does not change either way. It happened in DA2. It’s not potato, potahto, though. Bisexuality is anreal thing. And it doesn’t change with the gender of the PC. Playersexuality does happen in some games. The characters go from straight to gay depending on the PC. In fact, it’s the opposite of all bisexual because it means that NO ONE is bisexual. It’s common in text based adventure games. But it’s never happened in a BioWare game. Even if you use ‘all bisexual’ (incorrectly) to mean ‘playersexual’, that still doesn’t fit DA2 because of Sebastian who is straight. So there are 4 bisexual characters and one straight character as LIs. But all that being said, I hear what you are saying. You would prefer a variety of sexualities like in ME:A or DA:I. I actually agree with you. I like there being straight, bisexual, and gay characters in the game.

So there are 4 bisexual characters and one straight character as LIs. But all that being said, I hear what you are saying. You would prefer a variety of sexualities like in ME:A or DA:I. I actually agree with you. I like there being straight, bisexual, and gay characters in the game. So even if every single character would get together with either a male or female it is still not bisexual. I thought bisexuality was about being into both men and women But enough about me being a smug smartass, I get what you are saying, it just seems like a very weird thing to me to object about because it is, in fact when you calmly and logically think about it, the same... but I get what you are saying. And excuse me for never having tried to romance Sebastian, every other romanceable companions in DA2 was 'playersexual' so I assumed Sebastian was too. But yes, like in DA:O, ME:A, and DA:I I would prefer to have characters with different sexualities.
