Either way shame on you Bethany Esda for that quest. But like not too much, because the Skyrim and ESO werewolves are very good. Also, yes, that art is A++

The mods oh my the mods lorewise speaking I would cure Vilkas in TES universe when we are two cute grandpas though like spending eternity separated is a big no (I'm the human monster fucker TM) but it seems there is no such implications for werewolves in DA, you are a spirit and that's it, damn they need to expand the mythology tbh

The lore in TES is there, and it's interesting, but it's easy to ignore some stuff, because they're not good at making things like this consequential. Yeah, bw need to get on it (and maybe do animations like these). They have ancient lizard people, but lycanthropy that's not caused by some pissed off elf is somehow unthinkable? Could bring back day and night cycles too.

And "bearish hunk" likewise should be labelled "wolf", if we're going to use the OFFICIAL nomenclature. Really, you'd think it'd be BearWolf? Question for those who fancy a werewolf LI: Would you want an opportunity to cure him - and if presented, would you do it? It depends. The most important question here is whether or not he wants the cure? Is being a werewolf harmful to him physically, mentally and emotionally? Also does being a werewolf negatively impact his life or his state of wellbeing? If the type of lycanthropy is actually more akin to involuntary shapeshifting, something that could be lifted, mitigated or controlled, then no. But if it's more like Zathrian's curse that will cause the Werewolf to eventually lose their humanity entirely, then yes.
As much as I liked that telling Cullen to start taking lyrium again and having Bull remain loyal to the Qun had negative consequences (because of course it should), I wouldn't really like to see it employed here.
If the type of lycanthropy involved was able to be controlled and you chose the Control over Cure path, it'd ruin the story if the devs later yanked the rug by revealing our BearWolf LI ended up ultimately losing control or turned feral. If it wasn't due to it being a curse, then I'd agree that turning feral would be sad but not entirely unexpected.

Eh, say what? Are you talking about the Companions, Farkas and his brother? Did not have to 'cure' anything to get married to one of them. I mean, it's not like there's much of a relationship anyway (more like, "Wanna get married?" and "OK, sure.") but um, no, definitely no curing going on. In fact, that PC actually joined the Companions.
Edit: Unless this was changed in the special edition or via patch? It definitely wasn't like that on release, which is when I played that quest line.

But I'll leave this current poll for a while yet. I need to pad out my content for at least three months, apparently.

The quest happens after you do the companion quests required to unlock them as romances. It probably glitched and I didn't get the "oh you lookin' for a spouse" talk, so I did that quest too.

"He had sex with a bush, a bush, he had sex with a bush". "That wasn't a woman?" "No it was a bush. It had twigs and leaves, cause it was a bush" "That's where that scar comes from! "From sexing a bush"

So is this the lesbian equivalent? Shale being on there as "stone butch" is the best. I'm going to assume that's not a real category and was put on there just for her. XD Question for those who fancy a werewolf LI: Would you want an opportunity to cure him - and if presented, would you do it? Not interested in a werewolf LI, or a vampire, but I approach it in the same way I approach Serana or the brothers in Skyrim: I'd support whatever the person's choice is. If you're allowed to pester the person about being cured, it just comes across as you not accepting who they are. If we're to bring romance into it, that's not a healthy relationship foundation. If it requires that they be cured to start a romance, that suggests they need to change for you, which is also not healthy. But I don't rule it out. I don't remember how Skyrim's Farkas comes around to it, but Vilkas was already in the mindset before you even met him. Alea and Skjor like being werewolves.
I'll add that my character did accept the cure. He didn't like how being a werewolf made him feel: out of control, more aggressive/violent/blood thirsty; the act of just existing was more stressful. So, he was happy to go back to his normal self. But again, that was his choice and those were his reasons.

Skyrim forced us to be friendzoned by the ultimate Vampire waifu. There's a mod for that. I think I used it for captain Aldis? Someone. Skyrim doesn't really have deep romances, you can't really tell the difference between an official one and an unlocked one.
