I voted "explicit"
Treat us like adults, not prudish people who doesnt mind blood and gore but get sensitive when we see two adults....enjoying each other.

This is not directed at any one poster.
I'm getting increasingly annoyed at the stated idea that not wanting an explicit sex scene automatically equates to prudishness. Sex is fine. Porn is fine. If I want to watch porn, I will go seek it. I don't want the game or the devs deciding how my character behaves or what he wants during sex. That is as much a roleplay choice for me as are the dialogue options.
Aside from the above, in order to have decent game sex scenes, the developer has to invest the resources. CDPR invested those resources and had actors mocap the sex scenes for Witcher 3. I just don't see Bioware having the inclination to do that; it doesn't seem to be a priority for them. And while I give the cine designers praise for much and laud their hard work and diligence, on occasion their kissing scenes -- never mind depicted sex -- look like you're smashing two dolls' heads together -- "Now kiss!" They do their best to hide it with clever camera angles, which I will say give some really nice shots, but can still be quite awkward. I wouldn't want that same awkwardness translated over into sex scenes.
In addition, those scenes cost a lot of resources. If they're going to use those same resources for the romances, I'd rather have another meaningful conversation with my LI about the relationship itself where I can further my roleplay and learn more about him and them as a couple.
And because those scenes cost a lot of resources, invariably it means that some romances get prioritized over others, as was the case with Cora in MEA. That is wrong. If the cost to have that quality spread around to every LI is too great as to be prohibitive, then no LI should get preferential treatment; it's either do it for all* or none.
Given the huge resource investment, and everything else I've mentioned, I'd prefer none. It doesn't have anything to do with prudishness.
* This is not counting those LI who might not have a sex scene for character/story-related reasons.

I agree though, sometimes the romance animations do come across as incredibly awkward, despite their best efforts.

I imagine different reasons for passing on a romantic involvement just haven't passed the ROI test.

I imagine different reasons for passing on a romantic involvement just haven't passed the ROI test. There is so much missing context here that I don't understand what you mean. (And yes, I understand what return on investment means.) Taking your phrasing literally, I don't see how it relates to what I said. I think the DAI method was perfectly fine, which is why I voted for "fade to black." I romanced Dorian and it's pretty clear that you have sex -- twice! I just don't need to have it depicted in the game. It's hardly "passing on romantic involvement."

Solas' romance was great, yet you never saw them have sex. It may have happened offscreen, but Weekes has left that entirely up to the player. Even a few suggestive lines in Trespasser were written to be left it open to interpretation, about whether they actually did sleep together or not?
Same with Josephine's romance, we never are told whether or not they did the deed. Doesn't mean it's not a great romance or lacking in worthwhile content.

But no, DAI isn't ambiguous in most cases. The Inquisitor definitely had relations with Cullen, Iron Bull, Blackwall, Cassandra, Sera and Dorian if they choose to romance them. Josie and Solas are the hold outs.

I'm stuck in an airport and bored as shit. Is it too soon to change the poll again? Because first place is so overwhelmingly ahead, I don't see it changing significantly anytime soon. In addition, it seems like conversation about the issue has addressed all viewpoints and is just down to rehashing, so you might as well.

What the heck is Roosh V? And bonus points for including Ted Bundy.
Varterral jumped out at me, for some reason. I guess it seems the most alien? I've always found the creatures that are literally half-man, half-animal (centaur, minotaur, merfolk) to be creepy.

Well if we can suggest our own, I'm going with fish-dudes like The Shape of Water creature, since that was brought to mind by that "attractive women" thread, or Abe Sapien for a more streamlined look. Also, the features (esp. the ears) on The Orville's xelayan* race make me think of seahorse-people, though everything else about them looks human. pbs.twimg.com/media/Dw_UU1oUcAAOqq_.jpg* I had no idea this was spelled with an X until I looked it up...
