Returning to the Free Marches and resuming her duties and birthright as Keeper of clan Lavellan, sharing all the little tidbits of knowledge, and the few major revelations, about their Dalish heritage she's gleaned from Solas, Morrigan, Flemeth and her adventures in Elvhen ruins. After having an awkward conversation about her Vallaslin... But it's never going to happen. She's too much of a control freak to leave the levers of power in Thedas to shemlen after having touched them herself, there'll always be another crisis left to solve before calling quits, and she's a bit afraid that the clan won't recognize or welcome her back the way she'd want them to, and that her experiences have changed and expanded her too much to fit in with her brothers and sisters anymore. So. Procrastination and loneliness and guiltily supporting the family from afar!

No disbanding the Inquisition, then? After personally crawling all over Southern Thedas making it happen in the first place? When the leaders of the world are still too much of a bunch of babies to communicate, let alone coordinate if the sky rips itself apart again? And Loghain still hasn't gotten every stupid little dark secret and messed-up super special project location out of his fellow Grey Wardens? Yeah, no. She probably could. Thedas isn't settling down anytime soon, and keeping fantasy-CIA in the mix is as likely to hinder as help in the long run. And whatever stops Solas, the Inquisition won't be it. Lavellan is arguably more likely to successfully kill or talk him down on her own. But ceding control isn't really her thing. I'd guess her story would end with her assassinated and replaced, or anathematized (again) and executed by the Chantry for shitting on its policies one too many times. Or maybe the Inquisition just gradually disintegrates with her not having the charisma to keep them together without a big unifying threat to tackle, and she really will be forced to finally go home. Or maybe somewhere down the line, she too will have the chance to die to preserve Loghain.

My canon Inky will stay in Skyhold and study the Eluvians. I think she would like to write a book about everything she has learned about the ancient elves so one day she can pass that knowledge to the dalish.
For the other one? Early grave.
