Not really. Most folks love how DA3 does things, the Romance Catalogue, and the whole Templars are to be hated, Mages are to be "understood" thinggie, and honestly, I have no quarrel with it. Perhaps one day there will be a Real Templar in the Catalogue, but then everyone hated Sebastian, so maybe not. But... so what. If everyone loves what is there, just roll with it. If you had no quarrel with it, you would not complain about it in the first place. Why play it off and act cool now? Not to mention that the purpose of threads isn't to be an echo chamber. Because I was dumb and should have kept my big mouth shut.

Josie for me, I find her charming and I like the idea of my Inquisitor settling down in the Antivan sunshine.

I really want to pick Cassandra (her being Divine makes it more sad and happy, I think).
But I gotta go with Solas. The actors did a good job, animations were pretty good. It's almost a safe bet the two will meet again in the next game. There's gonna be real closure, even if it ends badly. Although........ part of me is hoping against all odds that they get a love scene similar to the one described in Trespasser (magical lovemaking). Get a room you two!!!

Cullen is my canon romance. I am yet to try the others. But I keep on returning to Cullen.

Cassandra, btw without spoiler please someone can tell me if it's better to make Cassandra Divine or let her normal when in romance with her? It depends on the type of romance you like. I think it's better when she's not Divine but I know some who like her romance a lot more when she is.

For my canon Quizzy (and so far only Inquisition playthrough) - Cullen was her love, Dorian was her soulmate My next playthough I'm planning on an actual romance with Dorian.

I tend to play an elf protagonist when given the chance, and I seem to romance the apostate mage in each Dragon Age game. In DOA I played a Dalish who romanced Morrigan, who grabbed my attention initially with her mystery and allure, and then sealed it when she fell hard for my Warden. With DA2 I went with Merrill because of her connection to my Warden, and since I couldn't be a Dalish romancing one was the next choice for me. And in DAI my first play through was a female Dalish mage, and I figured I might as well go with the romance exclusive to the female elf, and all I can say is OUCH. I knew something was coming with how cagey Solas was through out the game but after Trespasser my elf is felling the hurt. I have come to the conclusion that if I want the romance that adds more to the games story and its sequels go for the apostate mage, just be ready for possible angst and betrayal.
I would love to see my Dalish Inquisitor and Solas face off in DA4. He pretty much destroyed her world, and she has vowed to stop him from seeing his world reborn. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. But I think we will see a new protagonist square off against Solas. It would be cool if the Inquisitor was a temporary party member during the showdown, and had a few lines either about attempting to redeem him or stopping him even if it means killing him.

My canon Inquisitor, a female elf rogue, romanced Solas. First romance, first Inquisitor, favourite/personal canon worldstate.
I have other two "canon" Inquisitors: a mage elf who romanced Cassandra, and a female Qunari mage who romanced Bull. I have others Inquisitors, a mage elf who romanced Cullen, a dwarf warrior who romanced Dorian, a male Qunari warrior who romanced Josephine, and a female dwarf that should romance Blackwall, but I'm thinking going for Bull again....
