Its been a few months, but from what I recall the combat camera was further back from Ryder in Andromeda. There were a couple of other differences for they still have the party controls and pause mechanics in ME3 and removed in Andromeda. Not sure if this counts, but the open skill system was also introduced in Andromeda. ME3 felt like an evolution of combat from ME2, but Andromeda felt like it was inspired by ME3 if that makes any sense. I don't think it was bad either, just a lot more in the modern FPS field then any of the prior games for they felt like they were playing catch up before. I agree with this but my main point of contention was the "wrong direction" quote. If Andromeda was a more refined (inspired) version of ME3 then that comment doesn't make any sense. Edit: Love the profile pic. One of my top anime. Loved the ending... Fair enough. Knowing me I read it wrong. Its my favorite anime and the only one I own on Blu Ray.

I mean I'd be fine with the o nly ending that made any sense to me (Control) but some might quibble. I was debating liking your post because of this but I recognize differing opinions.

If they ever hope to make another Mass Effect without being bogged down by ruinous amounts of negativity, remastering the original trilogy would be the smart thing to do. Maybe the ONLY thing to do.

The could remake ME3 the way they wanted to make the game if they had the time https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/1wyz7e/some_interesting_facts_about_me3s_development/
They could make a sequel to ME3 with Shepard returning.
They could make a sequel to MEA, though its on the bottom of my preference list especially if they choose to bring Ryder back

I would not mind a simple HD upgrade that I could run on my PS4, even though I have the trilogy on my 360 and my PS3. I'd rather just run the one console and have my favorite games archived on external drives. My 360 is all wrapped up and sealed in storage anyway.

Yeah, because the Shepard Trilogy never had ruinous amounts of negativity. Wasn't the ending of ME3 met with a lot of venom? I think that's why mods exist to change the endings, Destroy in particular. Starbrat was also hated by many so even mods that kept all choices intact avoided that thing entirely. Starbrat would be more acceptable if you were actually able to bring some decent arguments to the table, or even poke holes in the stupidity of each and every one of its "solutions", past and present.

As much as I love the Mass Effect trilogy I was never that big of a fan of the Reapers. They are too big and awesome to deal with in a satisfactory way. Kind of how I never liked Superman as a hero ... he's just too much.

I see too many people here who want a remastering, a remake, a reboot. In my own experience, things like these always are a bad idea. No: they have to make new games from scratch and leave alone the older ones. So all these games were bad idea's huh... Baldur's Gate Enhanced Halo Master Chief Collection Borderlands the Handsome Collection Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection StarCraft Half the Final Fantasies Dark Souls 1&2 Wolfenstein Both Metro Games Star Ocean the Last Hope Bio Shock 1&2 Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition Shadow of the Colossus Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Legend of Zelda Wind Waker Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Soulcalibur 2 Okami HD The Last of US These are all games that I own and I'm sure that there are many more. I personally loved replaying all of them in HD. Edit: Almost forgot... Assassins Creed The Ezio Collection Darksiders 1&2 Dishonored Gears of War Rise of the Tomb Raider Tales of Vesperia And my most recent purchase... Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the Switch *Caugh"* the mcc most definitely was a bad idea. Overall though remasters aren't high risk projects, upping the visuals is easy money and typically that's how most remasters work out. Remakes is where you start adding some risks as you toy with things that will upset people. I'd say those are 50/50 projects. I'll be curious to see how FF7 remake works out whenever it launches. Overall though remasters don't do much if any harm. It doesn't take a full studio to put them out, they're easy money and it's good fan service. In my experience, most work out just fine👍

Kind of how I never liked Superman as a hero ... he's just too much. That's part of why I wouldn't want a remake. What more can you add to ancient monolithic beings bent on destroying all life in the galaxy? They're too big to make them "better". I'd feel like we're just covering the same territory but with tweaks. Same for a remaster, obviously, but fans would be asking to "fix" things, like the ending, or having to choose between Ashley and Kaidan, or not having Liara shoved down their throats, or being able to ask more questions of NPCs, etc.

It did enough to where I played every game all over again. It definitely played on my nostalgia...

I’d prefer if they spent the time to make ATB deeper but they are going crap action. There is a reason I’m putting more time into ff12 right now than 15. But hey I have the original FF7 on steam so I’m good.

I would pay an obscene amount of money for a trilogy remaster.
Not just because of how much I loved the trilogy - what I would LOVE to see and access is a revitalized ME3MP.
When ME3 went into the XBox One Vault (or whatever it's called that lets newer XBox consoles play older games), I heard the ME3MP population woke back up. Same game you loved, but now you could play it on your newer system.
As a PlayStation-primarily player, my panties would never be more moist than to have my favorite MP game back, on my PS4, and not experience any of the crappy bugs that made Collectors and certain hazard maps nearly unplayable on PS3 unless you followed a set number of steps to try and mitigate your chance of a hard freeze. U/U/G would have a glorious return.

Honestly hadn’t thought of possible MP revitalization. And yeah that’s a good selling point for ps players. Pc master race though and I don’t think it would even come to us.

I think a re-release is more likely for something like that, release it like an indie on the PS4 digitally and leave the games as is but make them available to the PS4 audience. The thing is it could be that EA is being like Sony and being spiteful since they publicly said that EA access was not a good deal for their consumers. That comment from Sony to me was them protecting their 30% of sales because it being a setup where you are renting games they don't get a cut.

I would be curious how many playthroughs I would play on the ps4 on top of the playthroughs I already have for my ps3.
