Any thoughts about him? I personaly find his character interesting. I enjoy speaking with him. He goes well with my Shep . Anyone think he could have been a good romance option?

I still wonder if showing that son of his whom he reportedly "screwed up raising" to be gay is a time-bomb planted under Andromeda by some saboteur BioWare writer to provoke outcry when people realize the connection.
Unless Bailey speaks about that second child of his, can't tell after the retcon.

I liked Bailey but I opposed his presence for one reason. We saw a C-SEC guy in the Wards, down the steps between the medical center and Flux. His name escapes me at the moment. He's basically another blonde C-SEC agent who came to the Citadel with ideals and the desire to be around aliens. I would have promoted that guy before creating someone new.
I do like Bailey well enough but I wouldn't want to romance him.

In any regard, Bailey is likable but he's also crooked. Proof that most people are easily enough manipulated to ignore corruption as long as the perpetrator has enough charisma. Bailey belongs in prison.

I always had the horrible feeling that kid Shepard failed to rescue at the start of ME3 might have been Bailey's kid. It's probably not and that would be too ridiculous of a coincidence, but still, they do look oddly similar.

Why do you think he is crooked? What made you think that? There are a lot of people on the Citadel that belongs in prison but I don't understand why Bailey belongs to those people.

Bailey made a deal with that one criminal politician to look the other way if he gave money to something like the policemen's ball. It's crooked because money was exchanged for allowing someone to engage in criminal activity.

Why do you think he is crooked? ...because he accepts bribes and allows perps to be tortured by non-Spectres and even allows people to be murdered by non-Spectres if it is convenient for him. He's crooked as hell.

He's crooked as hell. I’ll disagree. I think the story is he’s a good cop in a rough neighborhood making the best choices he can to survive while doing his job. He can’t just tackle the mob as if he does he’s dead and no one is helped. So he has a deal with the local mob boss keep your stuff tame so I don’t have to go after you. The bribe is incidental for him imo, it’s more for the mob boss so he can burn him if he ever goes after him. And once the mob boss does cross the agreed line he’s willing to go after them. And yeah you might be a non specter but he knows who you are and that you were one. Also let’s face it. You are the PC and have magical persuasion and get out of jail free powers. You are working for Cerberus and everyone let’s it slide outside a talking too.

As an aside I’ve never saved the council. So the kids Target was a local anti-human politician and Bailee describes the rhetoric as common saying people think we killed the council. Is the politician anti human if you saved the council. And if so what reasons does Bailee give.

I'm not 100% sure (my last PT with council saved was a while ago) but it is something like the humans getting more and more influence on the Citadel due to their role during the Battle of the Citadel and losses of other races in that same Battle. As I said I go by memory and could be wrong, but I'm convinced it is something like that.

I’ll disagree. I think the story is he’s a good cop in a rough neighborhood making the best choices he can to survive while doing his job. So was Denzel Washington's character in the film "Training Day".

Apparently Bailey killed Executor Pallin on Udina's orders in the tie-in comic (which I haven't read). I figured Bailey was going to be a Cerberus traitor working with Udina in ME3. I was kind of disappointed when he wasn't; it seemed like a missed opportunity to shock us. I would have preferred Chellick as the officer trying to salvage C-sec after the coup attempt.

I like Bailey.
What he did was wrong but I'm biased since he helped some characters i liked.
He covered for Kolyat and Thane in ME2. He also covered for Shepard about how Wrex died on the citadel if you didn't cure the genophage.
Plus he is a badass because he managed to scare Kai Leng during the citadel coup while he was wounded.
I don't think he would be a good romance. I like him more as one of Shepard friend and he already has a family.

I was kind of disappointed when he wasn't; My first PT when Bailey popped out of the elevator I thought for sure that was his double-cross scene. It sure played that way, then turned out not to be, which was weird. The other weirdness was after landing at the FOB and Shepard told the others to go on ahead. Something just felt wrong there, but nothing ever came of it either.

When the fight with Bailey didn't happen I thought, "ok, well, maybe he told Kai Leng to wait for a better opportunity and we'll fight this out later." I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did.
