Question: Do other people feel like the game became harder? I was playing on GM2 before and after the patch, and it definitely seemed harder (still doable, but now my shields are waaaay flimsier).

Replied to that in the other thread, but will say it here too - the increased difficulty seems to be for consoles. On PC the difficulty seems to be lowered with the exception of a slight increase of enemy damage. Maybe Bioware tries to balance and equalize the experience on consoles and PC as there were suspicions things are not equal on both.

I mean, yeah, kb and mouse makes shooters "easier" on pc, but that's no reason (or, not enough) for such a large difference...

The new scaling of item levels and all what depends on those did make a joke out of GM1 (on PC at least). Everything dies so fast that you don’t even have time to get downed. Also reducing Monitor’s health turned Heart of Rage into easiest and fastest stronghold on GM1. Ancient Titan dies in less that 10 seconds, Furies the same and Monitor is a big joke, Ultimates do so much damage it’s not even funny. Actually it is, doing 250k crits instead of 30k before had me in stitches first time I saw those numbers. Once, his acid phase was so short, that before my Endless Siege finished its spin-up I was getting zeros. Joke. I like this patch.

XBoxOne player here. Seems like post-patch GM1 was harder at first (I was getting swarmed by mobs), then, after I set it to Hard and then back to GM1, WAY easier. I suspect a GUI labelling glitch or something - even though the label said GM1, the game was actually running on GM2 or something.

Okay, this might just be the flu talking, but I thought this was pretty funny...PSA: Removing your support items massively increases melee/combo/proc/ult damagewww.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/azztgv/psa_removing_your_support_items_massively/Removing your support items massively increases melee/combo/proc/ult damage. Reason: since patch game scales damage of combos/ults/procs and melee based on average item level you have equipped, but if you don't have item equipped at all it does not take that slot into account in calculation at all, meaning by removing the low level support item boosts your average item level for purpose of the calculation. To remove your support item you can create a new fresh loadout - it starts without support item equipped. Edit: and yes as one poster figured it out - this means if you equip ONLY legendary items you will basically do most damage with ult/combos/melee/procs. Technically - you can like equip only one legendary item and nothing else and wreck, but of course that's not very feasible due to HP and some components being good as is. Also, my personal thoughts on this matter: lol, Bioware pls... y u do these things? C'mon man...

Something similar happened in ESO too, a while ago. And AFAIK WoW had a similar problem at some point as well. Such things will happen as they adjust everything over the course of months.

I reported two post-patch occurrences of joining a bugged game (or game that bugged out).
One report was about entering a bugged game … they didn't have a lot of interest in … maybe they think they have a way to fix that already.
The one they were more interested in, was the game I joined that ran fine, only to bug out at some point (the final boss battle completion). My take on it is that they were trying to crowd source the glitches, to see if there was a common thread or event that was triggering the bug.
My take ... the game sometimes bugs out when you complete a task, doesn't properly record the task completion, then the game can't progress because the game didn't catch the signal that the task was complete. Not all the bugged matches are like that, but for me, that is the majority. I've had this happen when running a mission solo … I'd quit to main menu … restart and it would ask if I wished to join the game I left … upon re-entering the match, the game completed with no issues. Unfortunately, AFAIK, that's not an option when quickplay or freeplay is selected.
On the bright side, there seem to be fewer of these since the patch … but fewer doesn't mean zero and the fact that they are crowd sourcing it, tells me the number is still fairly significant.

Well I guess I should wait for a fat check from Bethesda for all the bugs I helped them track free of charge Thing is, we aren't meant to 'hunt' for bugs - we are encouraged to log into EA help forum and tell them what exactly is the problem we're experiencing so they can hunt the bugs more effectively. That really is all there is to it. Nowhere in that post it is stated that we should actively seek bugs - merely that if someone encountered an issue then it'd be great if we provide them with precise information that they'd find helpful (screenshots from mission, location, etc) instead of stuff like 'this or that is broken, fix it!'.

Indeed? Are you saying that as a consumer we are not to expect a "working" product? Most products that I buy, at least, comes with some form of warranty that says something like ".. this product works as intended....". Then again, EA gives us no warranty that the game works in any shape or form. And, surprise, surprise, EA asks us "pretty please" help us fix it.
Whatever happened to refunds, free vanity items, "special loot drop days".... or something to remove the sting?
I'm just flummoxed at this.

I for one welcome my new position as QA tester for BioWare. I'm sure it will pay handsomely So that's what they meant by "freelancer." -Game always starts up with level 1 pilot, leads to "Error Loading Pilot Data." -Game does not shut down properly, requiring Ctrl+Alt+Del to clear from taskbar. -Scaling issue results in loot being useless. -Rubberbanding starting to occur with patch 1.03. -Freezes. -Sound still cuts out. Alright Bioware, my time is worth $41.03/hr. The above took me about five minutes to uncover, so I'll be expecting my cheque for $3.42 shortly.
