In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

This thread is silent.
I support the OP's intent. It is a good post. It would normally have garnered substantial activity, names would have been summoned, old times talked about and laughed about, old arguments relived with a tinge of humor and perspective... It is a good thread!
Wish the game lived up to this thread. Damning indeed.

It would normally have garnered substantial activity, names would have been summoned, old times talked about and laughed about, old arguments relived with a tinge of humor and perspective... It is a good thread! Wish the game lived up to this thread. Damning indeed. Yeah, I wish BSN was like that. I guess this is a dig? I also wish BSN was better; if that was your point I agree. If it was your point that you wish this game was more universally accepted by our broad community than it is, then we still agree because that was my point. If you mean whatever you might mean by the mysterious passive aggression that seems to be there, well... Back at ya boo. However, I do distinctly point out that you didn't post a link to something... And that this forum, founded by a dataminer, has nothing to say on the subject... Ghost town in this thread is sad. Frostbite is already a pain in the ass to mod, so the less technically skilled modders stay away from it, which leaves ??? to take the time and dig. It is unfortunate that the prescribed gaming engine is once again limiting our access and ultimately our interest. The videos describing Masterwork vs Starter weapons are all "whatever" to me until I see numbers. Is anyone actually doing them? In ME3MP, we knew when the description didn't match the output, just saying.

I've picked up a bit on the Anthem 'noise'. Checked the reddit thread (much much more active than nBSN currently ..) Same old same old things I've been complaining about for ME2, ME3, Andromeda .. (no transparency on damage game mechanics, no UI feedback on temporary bonuses and debuffs in play, what are comboes how do they work .. etc ) are among the many other complains .. Bioware is doing as it's always done since I can remember (don't give a !@# ..about such things and in general ) - the community's voice asking for such things might've gone a bit louder over the years (better educated by the competition perhaps - .. its the 'looter' genre new player base) .. Regardless this game doesn't have enough of my interest to splash 60 euros on it at this time .. Bad News: But even if it did I'm pretty certain I wouldn't be able to 'dig' much about this game - as I understand it this is 100% ONLINE GAME with servers OUTSIDE tester control. Way harder to hack for testing purposes (above my skill set) and with much more immediate potential consequences on the ones foolish enough to try. (cheating in online games is a different beast from a purely technical standpoint but also ethically - much harder to 'justify' and even from a legal standpoint -> these servers ruining the game are somebody's property !!). Combat log functionality added by the community for anthem - probably never gonna happen. Good news ?: From the little attention I've payed regarding actual combat damage mechanics - they show some sort of damage pop-ups - no rng roll on the base damage for weapons/abilities (you can see basic attacks doing constant/consistent/repeatable damage) This means it should be possible to reverse at least parts of the damage formulas for basic attacks/abilities as long as the parameters involved are known/displayed in some sort of stats page (lol also missing) and the scaling/formulas aren't too convoluted (looking at SWTOR formulas - it changes my opinion - PLENTY of convolution there ) ..
