All night long, I have been dropping into the epic-ly bad lobbies from back in the day. I am talking all brand new newbs in every single lobby. When 2-3 weeks ago i would see 1 or 2 here and there..I am talking brand new players in all of the Gold lobbies.........,,,N7 5's. with Avenger 2's....N7 40's with Vindicator 3's.....N7 70's with Scimitar 4's.......and so on........They are all populating every single Gold lobby which can only mean one thing.....

I'm observing this consistently, too. They all want to get their shit together for the new game. And most lobbies don't fail to extract either - pugs have evolved.

Proper puggins with my cheesy Vorcha flamer. Haven't played flamer for ages now. Took me 3 tries to find a lobby that would work. Virtually no problems against geth and it was slightly laggy. Picked Justicar after that and stayed for another round putting up bubbles where needed.

Pug1 was on a roll. First he played a Javelin GI, then he did the Harrier TGI, then the did the Reegar AIU.

Then I told Pug2 to get in the hack, and Pug1 said to "relax, it's only Gold."

Wave 9. Get downed by an Atlas. Spent the next 10 seconds watching him trying to execute me and fail. Was so occupied with it, that I didn´t realize that all other pugs were downed too and bled out. Wiped right there.

By wave 3 I´ve had it with this piece of shit netcode and "helloI´myourfriendlycollectortrooperwiththeaccuracyofasniperandthedamageof50000000000000000000000000000000000000000cobramissilescombined". Nuked everything in sight and quit right there. If I´ve had one of the pugs in my FL, I would have discoed and come back with AC 5. And again. And again. And ad finitum.

So the pug was a Paladin with a Reegar. I asked him if he was taking a break from the AIU. He switched to his Acolyte (but then he switched back to the Reegar when he thought I wasn't looking)

Well Wave 10 was Targets, and of course, none of the 3 pugs had any missiles they wanted to use. I ran all over the Reactor to get all the Geth Prime targets, who never switched to something else.

Predictably, the very second Wave 11 started, out come two spawn nukes from mister Reegar Paladin. I said "goodbye BCO" (or whatever his name was) and went into spectate mode to kick him. BUT WAIT!! SOMETHING WENT WRONG!!

As I was midway through typing killviewedactor to disconnect him from my game, he went down, just before I hit the Enter key! So I guess I disconnected myself, because as soon as I hit it, Hackett told me the mission was aborted and we were returning to base.

I hurried up and typed at entrymenu and quit the game out of shame and embarassment. And then I came here to shitpost about it. wtf

I knew I was in for a treat when the host had a Kishok Sniper Rifle, and Acolyte Pistol, and an Assault Rifle Rail Amp. After 5 minutes of him passive-aggressively spamming his ready button while I was telling him that the AR Amp would not benefit him, and another pug who was afk in the store, he switched to a Sniper Rifle Rail Amp and I readied up with him.

The AFK pug wasn't really afk, it turned out, because he either 'disconnect' or Alt+F4 during the loading screen.

We got other pugs, though, a TGI with a Reegar, and a TGI with a Valkyrie.

Damn if this wasn't one of the laggiest matches I've played all week. I kept getting that annoying "damage update" where there is nothing around, but take periodic "oh by the way you are health gated now for no apparent reason" phenomenon. So I wasn't taking this match too seriously.

Wave 6 was the LZ hack on Ghost. At least it wasn't raining. After the hack was complete I took more lag damage, got downed, and didn't bother to gel. I was curious to see how this would play out. The hack was done, people were free to move, but of course they didn't. Whenever pugs do a hack objective, they must stay in the hack until the Wave is completely over.

There was a Turret right up top there by the ammo box somewhere. Do you suppose any of them noticed it? Of course not. But it noticed them about 20 times. Mission scrubbed, returning to base, going to bed.

SalMasRac : Your patience in coping with bad pugs and/or super-laggy games never ceases to amaze me. I usually just leave without comment if people are afk in lobby or if the match lags as hell. If I have to do something I don't enjoy, I could go wash my dishes instead
