dickbag addendum I guess igorf33's connection is awfully good when he's on a BW Infiltrator against my Juggernaut. 6 missiles to outscore me by 20k and I guess his score powers his mic because he was shittalking me for 10 waves. He almost always disconnects when I play with him. Dunno why. ah. so i ain't alone then. does the same every time he stops by. i took to ignore his presence altogether whenever he joins IdjitHunter ,dis time you made a blacklist bud heh. A postit for a start then onto a ductaped to the screen. seriously though, i can only suggest what i do when i do come across people on my blacklist - leave the game. we play for fun and if ain't no fun in sight it's not worth staying, consumables or not. BioStreak!™ (Pending patent)
Yeah just made the word up but I think it was in order. Nukes/'nades aside I'd never seen a complete spawn become one with the dust so fast. i see your biostreak and raise ya... All by meself .

Fubared: Fancied some U/U/G but couldn't find any matches to join, so I started a lobby which after waiting for 10mins was still empty; I switched the Mission Settings to U/U/S and waited another five lonely minutes before kicking the game off solo. I drew Cerberus on White and had just finished W3's Hack when a KroSol joined and helped me mop-up. Nice. The rest of the game went without a hitch (we remained a duo throughout). Next match, we stayed with U/U/S and drew Geth on Goddess. Again all was pretty-much a stroll in the park: it was fun watching my teammate melee the living hell out of everything in sight. Then the sh*t hit the fan: we were joined by a couple of PUGs on W6, which was fine at first, but come W7 one of them (couldn't tell which) decided to start blaring music through his open comm channel. I asked him politely a couple of times to please refrain from such ear-busting behaviour as it seriously impaired my enjoyment of the game - I got no reply. So, when W8 started, I treated him to thirty seconds or so of the sort of foul-mouthed abuse that Atilla the Hun might have enjoyed dishing-out, and then quit the game. Wan*er. Such is life in PUG-land, on occasion.

Brootal
Pugs didn't manage to stay alive for more than 30 seconds during a wave and i think all of them had broken medigel keys. Had to clutch every objective on Hazard Glacier with banshees screaming at me (including 2 devices) and only one of my teammates didn't quit (for whatever reason the 2nd dropper left after wave 10).
In true pug fashion my puny human teammate bled out during extraction, but like the big, horny, sexy, scaly krogan I am, I stuck it out and ended as the lone survivor.
Ryncol is on me tonight, boys. Happy Thanksgiving!

Swarmer As in, "GruntKitterhand was taken down by a" If it hadn't been for the pesky wee blighter my GI would have broken the 200k mark, in what was a pretty epic match with many revives between me and the Huntress host. Karma is a truly interesting phenomenon, right MPApr2012?

Shame
After reading a discussion on the best way to spec the Justicar, I used a reset card and put some points on Pull this time. Also messed with the rest of the powers, dropping all of Reave and B. Sphere's damage reduction for damage bonuses.
Right afterwards started a gold duo reactor/reapers and all hell broke loose. Ran into the first marauders/cannibals spawn and immediately got downed, and so did the other guy. Around midwave 1 I had already used 3 gels and 2 ops packs; something similar for my teammate. I just resigned myself and when I got downed yet again and so did the other guy, gave up trying. Immediately a third player dropped in and clutched the rest of the wave. A couple waves later a Jugg joined and everything went by a little easier. Of course I kept on dying every 30 seconds for all 11 waves.
Note to self: Justicar ≠ Valkyrie

Note to self: Justicar ≠ Valkyrie I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'dropping all of Reave and B'? As for the Bubble, all the bottom options for a fully offensive approach is definitely the way to go and I swear 6a in Reave is the better choice overall, and the only logical one if you're using Acolyte or Talon, with power amps all the way. Funnily enough I ended up having to walk the walk (or should that be dodge the dodge?) as well as talk the talk, as precisely the thing I predicted happened in a pug game where I had to clutch all of wave 8. I used a courtesy missile on the two Banshees at the end of the wave having whittled down everything else. I also ended up outscoring a Huntress 186 to 180k, so yeah, maybe not equal to the Valkyrie but a match for the Huntress ain't too shabby. I guess maybe there's a learning curve, but I wouldn't change my 66455 Acolyte build for all the tea in China. Or all the Ass on Thessia for that matter.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'dropping all of Reave and B'? I meant I spec'd out of both Biotic Sphere's and Reave's damage reduction and went with a more offensive build. Plus, I was using the Raider with the modded weight barrel and forgot to cheat out the added weight so my cooldowns were taking foreeeeever. Toss in my utter inability to know when and where I should use the new acquired Pull, the short-ranged reach of the Raider, the reduced damage reduction, and you got a recipee for disaster. I seriously couldn't time my combinations and went on using the worst possible power at the worst possible time during all the game. I guess it does have a steeper learning curve than I thought. I also ended up outscoring a Huntress 186 to 180k, so yeah, maybe not equal to the Valkyrie but a match for the Huntress ain't too shabby. Valkyrie's ability to take on a bunch of enemies at once due to shield regen and close range BEs for crowd control, in the hands of somebody who knows what he's doing, is hard to top for most kits. I've no doubt a skilled player can be a serious rival for her using the Justicar but I haven't gotten the hang of it just yet.

I've no doubt a skilled player can be a serious rival for her using the Justicar but I haven't gotten the hang of it just yet. I was thinking about the differences between the two overnight, and if I had to sum them up in a single phrase it would be 'soft cover' - something the Valkyrie knows little or nothing about, but key to maximizing the Justicar's abilities. If you watch Sonashii's duo video in the build thread you'll get a pretty good idea of how soft cover and RHA come into play. Admittedly the Venom allows for more aggressive play than the Acolyte, but there's still a lot of dodging in and out of soft cover. When I'm playing using an Acolyte, I can bounce those shots through the tiniest of gaps without ever really coming under fire myself, firing off Pull pretty much simultaneously, following up with Reave for a BE. It might sound very cautious, but it's not really, just sensible. The simplest way of working out what to do when learning how to use Pull is to have a hair-trigger reaction to the sight of anything with only health, and the anticipation to know that if you release the Acolyte first you can include Marauders etc in that category, as the travel time for both is comparable. Then Reave almost instantly. Everything without armour dies, and will stagger nearby enemies too. My Bubble is the only thing which inspires aggressive play occasionally, as I run forward and cast it on a boss or sub-boss which has already been Reaved, then dodge, release the Acolyte, dodge, and Reave them again. Then I generally retreat, dodging backwards and sideways, using RHA again to attack whatever unfortunates have found their way into the Bubble. A heavy Raider is not a weapon I would choose for that playstyle (but is probably my favourite on the Valkyrie) because you have to get so close to be effective, when the Justicar doesn't actually need to get close to do damage. I'm not being falsely modest when I say I'm not a particularly skillful player, partly as I struggle with a little bit of arthritis which puts the Acolyte Justicar at the upper levels of my capabilities, but I am very experienced with over 3k hours logged on both consoles, and at the risk of coming across as a faux sports psychologist I would say that success with her begins with clarity of thought, understanding all her formidable BE capabilities (both her own and with other Biotics) and accepting that while a methodical approach may seem slightly less exciting than spawn-obliterating or whatever, she is capable getting a rhythm going which brings with it tremendous enjoyment levels as well as a fair amount of destruction. It's worth persevering, and I especially recommend her if you find a Jugg in your lobby as it's a match made in heaven - let the Jugg draw the aggro, cast your Bubble over him and retreat to a safe(r) place before blowing the crap out of everything that comes near. Sorry to anyone who objects to the derailing! - Turian Had a couple of games with a full squad - 2 TSols, myself as TSent/Striker/Incendiary and someone who just wouldn't get with the Fatness programme and played a Havoc or TGI. Lots of 'textbook' behaviour.

When my jugg gets dropped to health by one (!) rocket despite 4 full DR specced SPs active, something´s off.

Pull Justicar Glenn Style -
1. See Spawn 2. Shoot Falcon Phasic into crowd a couple times. 3. All shields are gone now, Pull all the things. 4a. If they are sailing through the air on the other side of the map, Reave them for BE death-boom. OR 4b. Sailing through the air near you, cast Bubble once inside your radius, and watch the hilarity ensue. They will all die.
Armor:
1. Reave the things, and keep shooting. 2. When the enemy nears your radius, and are primed with Reave, run on up like an idiot suicide bomber and cast your Bubble on them, preferably at a decent choke point. BE is the result. 3. Warp Bubble detonates Reave, and also primes with Warp. Cast Reave again for a second immediate BE. 4. Use your sidearm (durricane) for cleanup.
The first five waves of Gold is mostly a Pull/Reave show, and then the second half Pull is for mook control, and your primary killing tool becomes Reave/Bubble/Reave.
She is the Boom Queen. Still, and forever.

Given that I know a thing or two about the Justicar it's safe to say that despite not having used the Falcon on her in practice, the theory reads like erotica. I hope I can do it justice.

GruntKitterhand here's my logic for the no pull spec. It really just hinges on the Raider itself. Pull is great, like you said, when you strip the shield/barriers from a distance with the Acolyte, but the Raider really sucks outside of close range. Pull is a waste because I'm using Reave and Bubble at close range for stuns, debuff, and BEs. Usually I set up Bubble at a chokenpoint and I'm using soft cover and the great dodge to do massive damage with the Raider.

He almost always disconnects when I play with him. Dunno why. Same here. On the rare occasions he did stay, he never made it to wave 11. He always leaves after one or two waves. If he's talking over the mic, I can't hear him. He didn't say much. (I should have done the same. A bit laggy)

Ragequit
I'm probably still in single figures over the years, and I felt bad about leaving the host as I play with him or her quite regularly, and almost always very successfully. Match was Rio/Collectors and I was a BatSent with Kishock, starting as a trio with the host who was a soundly played Cabal and a Destroyer/Adas. Based on the previous 3 games I recognized the latter as someone who generally preferred to 'draw aggro' rather than actually do the objectives. Or 'draw aggro and die early' to be more accurate. But at least he wasn't missile glitching. I was left on my own to cap the last 3 devices on wave 3, and he stayed by the box of shame when we were hacking beside him on wave 6. Once the hack was complete I went and Kishocked his corpse a few times and then ran into a Praetorian and quit. I think it was a combination of his behaviour, the sound of his broken washing machine and the feckin Seeker Swarms for a second game in a row. I hate spamming Shockwave but hitting one of those things with a Kishock on a laggy host is really tough and I just couldn't be arsed with anymore. I sent the host an apology and have used you lot for therapy so I think I'm just about ready to go back in for more punishment!
