Humbling



THUNDERDOOOME! Upon landing in the same UUP lobby as these 3, decided I'd have to resort to the most OP yet safe-to-play kit if I wanted a chance to keep up with the utter destruction that was about to go down. So I picked the SI/BW only to end up in the least sniping friendly map there is. Add my natural scrubbery, the self-inflicted pressure of being in the same game as them, and a bit of lag, and this is what you got. Hey, at least I was able to provide assistance... 50 times



Stayed for a chance for redemption and this time around put my try-hard pants on, Valkyrie/Talon, only to wind up in one of the worst possible maps for CQC against Geth. The force is definitely not on my side today. Felt like a headless chicked running around the map trying to find something to kill. Not pretty.

Those guys are overkill.

wave 9. I was clutching it like a baws. Okaaaaay, more like a scrubby baws. 1 doorframe, 1 scion and 1 yolo play. Got pulled into a sync from miles away. While the fucker had his back turned to me to boot. #biovarpls

TSent. Level 2 Phaeston. Level 1 AR Amp. Level 2 IA.
Didn´t realize the host had switched to plat. Saw the first Prime and was like "Wait a minute!" Is dis modded? Then I realized, it´s plat! It was a very rough ride for me and atleast at one point for the entire team during an escort ( my bad actually, used a missile in the wrong spot and nearly got every1 killed ). Host revved everyone thru the console and on we went. I tortured myself thru the remaining waves til we got to w11. Was forced to retreat to the lz ( I know, bad idea ) because I got boxed in ( I know, scrubby me ). End result, got hugged. One console revive later we all exfiled. I really need (clay)more missiles.

I play the adept, engineer, and sentinel pretty much all the same at level 1 -- grab weapon of choice and a power you can use to force enemies to react, then go nuts. My infiltrator doesn’t really play any different at 1 from 20, just does less damage, and the soldier is obvious.

The Novaguard is the only tricky one, but essentially plays like a weaker soldier with a situationally useful charge. It'd be a bit better if I put a point into shockwave, but I'd rather not have to respec later as I like two different Novaguard builds, neither of which have shockwave.

I noticed Clyde coming online while I was playing with ctc and got a bit excited - I'd like to see them in the same lobby too. I've probably played more games with ctc at this stage, but I've played with Clyde on both consoles and watched a load of his videos. The games we've played have been totally laid back affairs, often with randomized kits, but I know what he's capable of and I don't think I've ever matched his score. I've gotten closer to ctc, and have outscored him once or twice (Batarian Adept with Harrier when he was a Volus Adept, if memory serves) but had the sense that he was occasionally leaving kills for me when we had our duo session - but even that might have been strategic to an extent as I was playing a Vorcha. Great teammates both. I really don't care about score and I don't think either of those guys do either, but we all like being fast.

Shadow

My Shadow landed on Wave 3 against Reapers on Condor, and found another one there too, along with an impressive QMI and something else I forget. I had my trusty Piranha and no Electric Slash, while the other Shadow had a Talon and Electric Slash. I didn't quite catch up to their score by the end, but we each had the best part of a wave in Spectator Mode - we were both grabbed by Banshees on different waves. He was a good player, undoubtedly, but I swear I watched him SS a Ravager, follow up with ES, fire all 4 Talon shots and then finish off the Ravager with a heavy melee, which killed him. When he was in Spectator Mode he would have had the opportunity to watch me kill 3 or 4 Ravagers by emptying a point-blank Piranha clip into each of them. He was gone from the lobby in an instant, probably (hopefully?  ) to burn a respec card.

That PUG is a genius. Not only he's a sane person that abhors the Reegar, but he was even able to trigger a BSNer. Huge respect for him.

Hi there . I rarely complain in a serious way about  shitty games, but in that one there were all the conditions to make me mad. Yeah, we could have done it, but those devices that spawn in the sandy area need extra care, especially when on sandstorm and with Cerberus and his turrets. BTW, it was a pleasure to share my sufferings with you!
