That doesn't seem to thaw the ice it fell in, though. It's still being played by people and it's the best way to continue. Indeed.

Yeah they just released it before it was ready it's a very playable and enjoyable game now for the most part. That doesn't seem to thaw the ice it fell in, though. I actually tried doing a second playhtrough earlier this year. I gave up around freeing the Moshae, I was so bored. BORED! Whatever I think of other Bioware games, good or bad, I don't find them boring. This one I did!

So I think it's a matter of opinion.

So I think it's a matter of opinion. Definitely, you'd have to force me to play as many times. Dint finish a second PT - now finish isn't necessarily a measure of quality, but since I didn't start any further PTs either it's safe to say it doesn't really fly. I mean I wanted to get to Elaaden at least, but gave up somewhere on the ice planet: It just got boring.
Havarl, Eos and Voeld are just ugh. Early Eos is like some dude crafted oversized platformer maze, Havarl has too much vegetation and bulletsponged enemies and Voeld is terribly bland. Fallout's wasteland is more interesting than these worlds. The only map that's interesting is Elaaden.

To preface, I really do enjoy the game, but there's no denying that there's a particular lack of........energy... to the whole affair. Dialogue options, consequences, etc., are notably subdued in the game. I get in some ways that this can be good to keep options open for future titles, but, in truth, I kind of prefer a game to just go all out and say damn future titles, and let us shake up the world in this game, and the fates of characters. I felt Ryder was too constrained by the plot or setting. Heck, I didn't even have much room to be as much of a flippant jerk to people who deserved worse. I'd throw Vetra out the airlock just to get a cutscene where I threaten to blow the heads off of those two looters in the slums, or that I could kill everyone in the room when meeting Sloan lol

I'm currently trying to force myself to finish a ME1 run so I can take my Shep through ME2 (my favorite of the series). It's not going so well.
MEA I've played way more, though I will admit it is a very slow start.

Yea hMEA does have a slow start bu tonce you've rescued the Mosha eand got past that quest it does get better as that's for me when MEA really hits it's stride. Thankfull ydue t othe fac tME1 is a pretty short game I kind of can forcve m yway through it. I would say Feros is probably my leas tfavouriet in ME1 but I do kind o fenjoy most of them for the most part

I use a cheat for special armor and weapon to speed it up a bit.

I mostly focus on just getting through the rest of it.

ME1 only started becoming tough for me to get through after ME3. After that, knowing what was in store for Shepard and the galaxy, the whole story just felt pointless. Before then, I had lost track of how many runs I had done.

I usually play ME3 up through Thessia (and the DLC) and then quit. I've only completed that game twice.

Oh, right: I missed the reference to "story." What counts as a "point" here? Becoming the Reapers in order to "beat" the Reapers after three games trying to fight the Reapers is pointless. Was that a serious question or are you just sealioning again?

I could have done without that mental image.... Visual thinker here.
I still enjoy replaying modded ME3, but can see where Iakus is coming from. The dark energy plot would have been better to go with imo. My main beef with what we got is that Synthesis is presented as the best choice. It should have been setup so that every choice has an equally good ending (apart from refuse) and only comes down to your personal ethics and views. But Hack Walters couldn't help pushing his own on the player.

Mack Walter's writing was fine imo and the dark energy plot I read was terrible.

You mean the dark energy plot that was literally like 3 lines in ME2 with 0 hint or reference to it. So much so that it literally took a year after I beat ME series while searching online to actually find out it was an actual plot point and not just a convenient reason to have Tali in the Perseus Veil to match with her loyalty mission involving Geth.
Synthesis is the best choice because of the massive potential it offers. They down played the hell out of Destroy ending and Control ending is about what would be expected. The ending of ME3 does literally come down to your own personal ethics and views.
