The motives of the Monitor were falsely advertised. Bioware implied with their trailer that he was trying to achive some "greater good" via unethical methods. But no in reality he was a very bland, one note antagonist who was basically as Muahahaha as it gets.

UPDATE: We’ve identified several causes for the temp power-down crash some PS4 users experienced. Fixes for the top issues are in patch next week. If you encounter a game crash where your PS4 console won’t respond, you can manually power down and restart it – no risk of damage.

Interesting, makes me wonder if those people that claim Anthem bricked the PS4 was just another jab at this game. 

This problem existed on the PS4 for some time, of course the clickbait Youtubers would take the opportunity to pounce on it. That's not to say it's ALL Sony's fault perhaps Anthem was poorly optimized for that console, but other people had problems with the PS4 crashing with other games way before Anthem was released.

Likely those few who initiated rumors simply had no idea what they're talking about, as they had no technical knowledge to actually assess what really happened to their consoles, if anything has happened at all or if it happened because of a game they've played. People make fun out of 'have you tried switching it off and on again?' as the basic advice given at tech helplines, but the reason why it's so prevalent is because many people haven't got the slightest clue how their devices actually work.

I'll probably repeat these things forever: 'anecdote is the least form of evidence' and 'correlation doesn't mean causation'. Yet people took unconfirmed rumors like it's a sure thing and ran with it. How many of those who spread it will them inform others that this has been debunked? Maybe a few, and I'm fairly sure those who will have it pointed out that they can't just shrug it off will try and spin it in a way to justify their clickbaity news (kinda what we saw after MTX shenanigans).

People can make fun and complain at 'fanboys', but the spin-machine works both ways.

I don't know... I mean I have over 100 games on the ps4 pro and only Anthem has shut the console off (everything is fine, fyi). Sure, I've had crashes on it with other games, but not one "bricked". For the sake of the argument, this never happened with DAI or MEA for that matter. All this is assuming that bricking the console means the same thing as shutting itself off on it's own.

Yea, cleared a few things up for me too. It's just that this is a compilation of basic info about inscriptions straight from developers, not player inferences - and there will be a follow-up, as stated in the post itself. So I'm not sure why it's slammed like it was supposed to be more....
