It's too bad they couldn't run with the apartment/workshop idea, that would have been a nice setup. I also noticed a bar called "Forget Earth" and wonder just how much of Anthem's story changed over development.

With this kind of project (and it just starting) I don't think we can tell how much things changed/got cut and how much we're going to potentially see in the future (btw. did you find the turtle in Freeplay, Hrungr?) Also... why Forget Earth is in Comic Sans...? BIOWARE!!

Some of those things can still be added in the future like the apartment (but not that big since the Fort is just a small outpost, also I hope for some bathrooms in Tarsis Bioware. It would also be nice to have some of those concepts for javelins being added to the game.
There is always some turtles swiming around the river, close to the waterfall, in the Valley of Tarsis.

From the twitter thread: I mean you guys are human, he makes it sound like you missed it on purpose. I experienced that bug on February 15th onward and reported it in the EA bug forum. On purpose or not, players not having health is a pretty effin' big bug to just ignore that long.

But what makes you think the twitter guys are blantantly ignoring the tweet? That's not what I said (or intended to convey). The bug is being ignored, maybe unintentionally. Regardless of intent, Ben Irvo posted a revelation that the health issue is real, not just a visual bug, weeks after it was reported on the EA bug forums.

Funny how you Twitter gurus missed this gem for 16 hours. Ben Irving @benirvoThe health bug isn’t just a UI bug. I was wrong. We are on it. It was already known (and mentioned previously by Mike IIRC) that it was more than a UI bug (or more accurately, it can be just a UI bug, but sometimes it also affects health), it was just Ben who got it wrong.

Then it is not being ignored if they are already aware of it. It is likely on their to do list of bugs and fixes. Does anyone else would like some old style javelin like this? Or it is just me

Chad Robertson @crobertson_atxWe appreciate all the feedback from the community on the game. We love the passion and share it. We’re not yet fully happy with the game’s loot behavior either. One of the downsides of moving so fast to improve is that we’re making changes to complex loot systems in several areas and it’s then harder to know how it’s performing. In the next few months, we’re expecting to make significant changes, but we’re starting with some incremental ones so we can better navigate that evolution. Our goal is to ensure the best possible player experience. Bioware, listen to me. I know at least someone over there might see this, because I got it on good authority that several of you lurk around here. Your starting to make me look like a fool Bioware. I keep raving about this game to friends and co-workers. I keep telling people how much fun this game is despite the absolute avalanche of crap this game is getting. The biggest thing the community is asking for is loot. REASONABLE loot. We are all desperate for this one thing that will help us - your biggest supporters - hang in there playing this mess of a game. And all we get in return is radio silence. Obviously, the problem has shown itself to be something you can fix very quickly. Hell, you've fixed the problem by accident twice now. The argument of the economy taking months to flesh out and get the right feel is unacceptable. We've experienced economy balance now, we know what it feels like when the loot drops are good. Most importantly, we know what it feels like when playing this game feels good. Don't distract us. Right now I don't care about you guys filming new scenes for a story mode. I don't care about the level 1 default rifles being glitched and you convincing us that it's a bug not a feature. Right now I care about not having this games entire player base abandon ship once Division 2 comes out. In the next few months? Most of the hardcore players will be gone because Loot is just unacceptable. There's someone in the room saying that improving loot will lead to people being geared faster and then they'll leave. Its short sighted but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some passionate arguments going on at bioware. This is honestly the only reason I can think of, that would prevent them from making this VERY popular accidental change permanent. The glowing praise the game gets every time this "accident" happens should be all the proof they need to see. Bioware even IF people gear up and leave, they would at least be leaving for a positive reason, and be willing to return when new content drops. Right now people are leaving for bad reasons, reasons that make people a lot less willing to come back. People are largely willing to accept minor bugs here and there, and understand that content will come over time. However the end game loop of farming loot is in such a bad state it just completely crushes the end game fun, and the worst part is that it could be wildly fixed instantly (as we've already seen two accidental "fixes" implemented and then horrifically removed). Yet here we are. The amount of time I'm putting in has dropped drastically since I hit the end game. I'm not about to stop playing yet, but you need to do something. Not in a few months, either.

For Bio to miss this pillar of the looter-shooter genre is perplexing.

Jesse Anderson @darokaz I checked with the team and there was indeed a bug that was causing Masterwork Embers to have lower drop rates than intended. Team is working on a fix to get drop rates back up to what they were before the 1.0.3 update. #AnthemGame

Reading all this loot talk and I'm fascinated by how different genres can have such different perspectives. In MMOs loot is far more scarce with a lot more effort to obtain them, yet the reaction is far more muted.
Fast-paced action would result in an almost hypertensive need for loot so I think BioWare should just concede and up loot drop rates.

I think the issue is that a lot of these looter shooter players aren’t interested in grinding for Legendaries and Masterworks, they want to grind for the best possible version of them given the semi-random inscriptions.. So making it hard for them to get even one bothers them a lot more.

Still, the grinding in some cases is unreasonable.
Frankly, the studio should mitigate this frustration by generating a weekly event/times when loot drops of a reasonable/rare value increases in probability percentages.. give the players some carrots for God's sake.

I agree. I think a vocal minority on Reddit are grossly exaggerating the situation and spamming the thread for likes (I think Anthem has far more pressing issues than this) but it's BioWare's fault for dropping that faulty loot situation to begin with and regardless it's almost a PR crisis that they need to get a handle on.
It's not really a win-win situation. If they do up drop rates to the point of that patch level then people will max out pretty quickly, and given the lack of PvP in this game, will inevitably tire of the game quickly even if the gameplay is fun. It's just reality. But if they don't up drop rates, then the shitstorm continues.
So I think what you suggested in terms of events with bonus drop rates and other forms of "carrots" would be a good middle ground. I wonder how long it would take to implement in practice.
