Huh. My quarian engineer reload cancelled all the time with high lord claymoar. With cryo blast set to a ridiculously small cool down, she could destroy groups with ease on gold. Good to see that it’s in Anthem! I’ll have to test it out next time I’m on! Yeah, everything except for the Quarian, the Claymore, and Cryo Blast. And Gold. And engineer. And ???

Anthem is better than Mass Effect because the Mass Effect series shows the Earth is not flat, those lying pricks, am i right? That’s a good point. Hey TF how did you feel on the intro screen of Mass Effect 3 when it showed the Reapers assaulting a spheroid shaped Earth? Did it make you mad that the round Earth lobby inserted their politics into the game?

Reload Cancelling? Is that a reason to justify Anthem being better than Andromeda?
Even as a joke, that doesn't sound funny.
Btw, I've got over 1,700 hours into ME3MP, I know the relevance of reload cancelling for that particular game very well, but come on.

Can someone explain why this feature is good? I remember being really confused by it in ME2; I thought I'd stumbled onto an exploit. For ME2 it was actually useful for the claymore. It gave the player the ability to fire more frequently with the claymore. As for ME3MP or Anthem, I don't understand it. I personally never seen anyone use it in ME3MP that much, or mention it. Yeah, I got that you could fire the Claymore faster. That's why I thought it was an exploit. I guess what I was actually asking is why this is a feature rather than an exploit. What ROF was the Claymore balanced for?

I don't know if it's a feature for Anthem, though I wouldn't think so.

Probably a exploit too, i haven't tried it, since i doubt Bioware would put a reload cancel mechanic in the game.

Inb4 TF gets banned like the guy who farmed chests before the patch.
I can't believe we're still having the exploit vs feature discussion. Didn't Christina Norman put this to rest like seven years ago?

Setting the bar pretty low ha? TF is a contrarian. His input to this forum is a product of boredom and attempted "creative" trolling. It has gotten weaker over time, but to be honest "Sinful" was never a quality poster on old BSN either. Something tells me this thread wont get the "Anchor".

As long it is not full of people shiposting over and over about Bioware/EA and a game they didn't played nor had any intention of playing i see no reason (the skeptcism thread exist for that) why a thread about a game exploit will be down the anchor.

Point me to a positive thread about Anthem that could have been linked with another thread but yet didnt get the Anchor. Seems like over negative threads gets the Anchor treatment.

In ME3MP, reload cancel became so second nature for me, had to unlearn it for MEAMP … kept cancelling the reload. Took a while to not do that.
Was suspicious it might exist in Anthem, thought it happened a few times, wasn't sure. Now curious what things will work to make it happen.
In ME3MP, used turret deployment to reload cancel with the Juggernaut.
For other characters, typically take a first step to run. Obviously that didn't work with hard cover.
Given it didn't exist in MEA, I'm guessing it is a feature, not a bug, for Anthem.

Didn't Christina Norman put this to rest like seven years ago? Recall BioWare admitted cancel reloading in ME3mp as a 'feature' going by my memory of the old forums. (Though lets keep in mind it's much easier to call something a feature then fix) While in ME3mp recall it might have been an accident the devs were fine with, in Anthem it may been added intentionally as it's on the different frostbite engine (from unreal engine) and it's a good feeling once you get used to it.

It was in me2 as well confirmed by devs in the past as intended. Animation cancelling has been around a long time in many different games as well. Not a surprise that it was included in anthem with many of the devs from the original trilogy working on the game.

Just popped in to voice agreement in that I also prefer Anthem to ME:Andromeda.
Simply because I just couldnt relate to the protagonist. I believe many others feel the same but about Anthem instead. In much the same way that I have read threads praising the voice acting, and others calling it poor and unengaging.
On a personal level, the world and universe of anthem resonates much more with me. Andromeda had the capability to be far superior, but the main plot fell short and the game felt too open world fetch questy and less cinematic - which is what I wanted from a Mass Effect game.
Ironically, im fine with Anthem being more open world, because it fits the game, is inherently more action-based, and after the day one patch the story flowed at a good pace - even spaced out with faction quests. The story may be short compared with Biowares previous RPG titles, but this is not that sort of game - comparing an RPG's story with more of an action-shooter games is like comparing steel toe-cap boots to stiletto high heels imho.

Beat Dragon Age Origins, not for me. Did four chapters of DA2, not for me. Have KotOR, lose interest almost immediately upon arrival of first planet. Andromeda wasn't for me (did beat it), however multiplayer grew on me with final update (introduction of Juggernaut) and discovery of PAW assault rifle. Played it regularly up to Anthem release, now I play Anthem.

Aren't you guys having way too much fun playing Anthem to have time for making these threads? Well certainly, why barely have time to follow the drama around here. However, while playing and experimenting with cancel reloading, thought it be pretty cool to share. Hopefully this leads to some good game mechanic discussion threads, recall those being interesting to follow in the past.

Ya Sinful, I noticed that RC is back also. I'm still experimenting with the different ways to execute it.
As for the poster who used the claymore in ME3 without reload cancelling, you are far more patient than I am. IMO that gun was useless without RC
